Sicario met with Gregory, who was impatient for the completion of their plans. Gregory threatened to take matters into his own hands if Sicario did not succeed before the next Empyrean Star Alignment in one year. Meanwhile, Jason has been training relentlessly, blaming himself for Theosis's escape.

Agiel decided to just take some time to herself and stay on Earth before she goes back to try and become a proper Queen later. The Enforcers had been preparing Agiel for a mission that they were about to have on a parallel world, but Agiel had been delaying her journey because she was worried about Jason and what was happening with him.

Recently, the people of Earth had become a lot more familiar with the concept of other worlds and travelling to those parallel worlds for various missions or even holidays. After Jason formed the Earth Defence Force and tasked them with going to worlds where there were issues and taking care of them, there had been far fewer tasks that Jason needed to carry out in this domain. The Earth Defence Force had grown from only about five TITANs to more than fifty TITAN Ranks. The Mortal Severance drug that the Northern Alliance Academy had been developing had advanced by leaps and bounds, and they had already offered more than five hundred people the drugs to boost them all the way up to the TITAN Rank.

There were some Superhumans who weren’t lucky enough to be boosted, and even after taking the drugs, they were only able to reach the SSS Rank, but Jason didn’t care about all of that because many other people managed to reach the TITAN Rank easily! With the numbers that they had, they were finally able to beat the conditions set by the Council of Nine and One before Jason became a member of the Council. They had all the numbers that they needed, as well as the finances and the prestige, so Jason no longer had to worry about them taking his position away from him.

The EDF had already been sent to more than fifteen different worlds to help them out with their problems. There were some worlds that didn’t have a big issue, and the EDF would only have to kill some beasts or help them with protection while they migrated across a great distance. But there were some worlds that ended up with serious issues like tyrants, mercenaries, or pirates, and this was where the EDF sent their most powerful members like Francis or Yuslev.

Sometimes, when the EDF was lacking the manpower needed to take care of any problem, they would call on TITAN Rank Enforcers or even some independent superhumans to help them with extra manpower, and since Agiel was now a TITAN Rank I, she had also started going on missions with the rest of the Enforcers.

But although there was a mission coming up soon, Agiel had refused to go until she was sure that Jason was fine. Agiel could feel in her heart that Jason’s mind was clouded, and Agiel didn’t want a situation where Jason ended up doing something risky because he couldn’t think straight.

Down on the ground, Jason’s mana surged up even higher, and Jason grit his teeth as he slowly filtered his Qi into his body as well. Jason had been practicing raising his Resonance limit for a long time now, and he could tell that he was close to a breakthrough. Jason had already gone past twenty percent Resonance a long time ago, and now he was attempting to reach forty percent.

[The user is attempting to bypass the physical limit set by the user’s body.]

[Bypassing this limit could cause significant damage to the user’s body]

The system sent multiple messages warning Jason against going past this limit, but Jason ignored them! Jason had already made up his mind that he would be heading to the Uncharted Zone very soon, but Jason was not going to allow himself to remain weak while going in there! Even though Jason was already a PRIMORDIAL, there were creatures and people in that part of the Primordial Expanse that were far stronger than PRIMORDIAL Rank I. Jason needed to raise his Resonance as much as possible so that even if he met a PRIMORDIAL Rank II, he would still be capable of defending himself and defeating them.

’You are necessary to my plans, Jason.’

Sicario’s voice suddenly echoed through Jason’s mind, and Jason’s brow furrowed in annoyance as he remembered the encounter at Tarisavia. That was one of the most irritating battles that Jason had ever been in, and even now, one week later, Jason was still forming scenarios and trying to think of counters that would allow him to come out on top the next time he ran into those Apostle bastards. The Arcane Arts were some of the most unpredictable powers in the Primordial Expanse, and the fact that there was no magic limiting the power only made it far more dangerous than it had any right to be!

Jason could’ve never predicted that Sicario would be capable of something as insane as controlling time! If Jason knew that something like that was possible, then he would’ve prepared for it, but Jason had been too shortsighted.

Jason didn’t even bother looking at his system tab when the notifications came in. Jason had been getting these notifications for a long time now, since he sent out the Legion to fight on different worlds. Most of the time, the benefits that came from the Legion’s fights weren’t very useful, but the things that turned out to be far more useful were the hierarchy gains that each of the Legion had been getting recently.

Subordinates like Azrael and Trigon, who had all been at Bishop Rank II, had seen significant increases in their hierarchy level, and Ragnar had already reached the necessary hierarchy level to become a Rank III Bishop. Jason knew that sending the subordinates out like that was the right choice, and since most of the more powerful subordinates were still here with him, Jason didn’t have to worry about not having help if he needed it.
