Sicario used his time freeze ability to immobilize Jason and escaped the planet with the help of Ulysses and Enkidu. He left Jason to face the dangerous creatures alone. Back at his mansion, Sicario ordered Enkidu to tend to the injured Theosis while Ulysses expressed her displeasure. Sicario explained to Bathseda that letting Jason go was strategic, despite his rapid increase in power. Suddenly, a new dimensional tear opened, and an unknown woman appeared.

Sicario watched as a Dimensional Tear ripped open in the space in front of him, and a sexy woman wearing a long black gown walked out with a condescending frown on her face.

Melissa Marc looked around the grand mansion with an irritated expression before she looked from Sicario over to Bathseda nonchalantly. Sicario watched Melissa very closely while wondering what the hell she wanted from him. Melissa would never come to speak to Sicario of her own choice, so Sicario knew that there could only be one reason why she was here. Melissa raised a hand and gestured towards the Dimensional Tear.

"He wishes to speak to you."

That was all Melissa said, and Sicario let out a long breath as he understood. Sicario turned to tell Bathseda that he would be back soon, but Bathseda had already vanished from the room! Bathseda was not the sort of person who enjoyed getting involved in things that did not concern them, and the moment Bathseda recognised who Melissa was, they immediately opened a Dimensional Tear and vanished! Sicario just let out a short huff in amusement, and he walked forward and entered the Dimensional Tear before Melissa followed after him and closed it.

Sicario appeared on the other side of the Tear inside a bedroom in a large penthouse. The entire room looked very modern and clean, and outside the large window was a bustling city with skyscrapers and flying cars. Sicario didn’t recognize this hideout, so Sicario knew that Gregory must’ve moved here recently. It would seem Gregory was no longer interested in the solitary mountain life.

There was a large bed in the room where Gregory was sitting and looking out the large window with his back facing Sicario. Gregory was shirtless, and the bed was roughened up and slightly damp to show that it had just been used. Sicario guessed that Gregory and Melissa shared this room together, but there was no other bed in the room as far as Sicario could see, and Sicario was smart enough not to think about what Gregory and Melissa did in this one bed together.

Once Sicario and Melissa appeared, Gregory glanced back and regarded Sicario for a moment.

"Sair Carysl O’thysae... no... Sicario. I hear you’ve been busy."

Sicario had flinched when he heard Gregory say his full name, but he managed to get himself back under control quickly enough, and he nodded.

"Yes, we have. The plan is going forward according to schedule, and we should be capable of completing our side of the bargain before the appointed time."

Gregory hummed roughly, and Sicario watched as Melissa walked towards Gregory and bent down to whisper something into his ear. Sicario couldn’t hear what it was, but Gregory nodded, and Melissa put a kiss on his cheek before she turned to leave the room. Once she was gone, Gregory spoke.

"My allies are getting impatient. There was an... altercation at the Primordial veil. A few Angels nearly came into contact with a passing envoy of Primordials. I had to intervene."

Sicario nodded along. Sicario had heard about that situation recently, and he knew that Gregory had to be responsible for it! There weren’t a lot of people who could put someone like Mik’hael into a coma for this long, and Gregory was the only one with that much power who had an actual reason to attack Mik’hael.

"I also grow impatient, Sicario. Tell me how much longer I must wait."

Sicario could sense the obvious irritation in Gregory’s voice. Gregory had been waiting for a very long time for this opportunity, and now that Gregory was finally getting back his full power, it was obvious that Gregory was not interested in waiting any longer.

"It won’t be long now, Gregory. We already have the map and the oath. We only need to find the last piece of the Celestial Aspect, and everything will fall into place. Just a little more time."

Gregory glanced back at Sicario once again, and Gregory pinned Sicario in place with his heavy stare. But Sicario stood his ground and made sure that Gregory did not see any doubt or weakness in him. Sicario knew that in this situation they were both using each other to get what they wanted. Sicario had used Gregory to release the Celestial of Death and kick off his plan, and at the same time, Gregory was using Sicario to get rid of the last hurdle in his plan. But Sicario needed time. If Gregory became too impatient, it would ruin both their plans.

Gregory finally turned away and spoke.

"I will tell my people to withdraw for now, but you only have until the next Empyrean Star Alignment. If you have not completed your plans by then, I will take matters into my own hands."

Sicario nodded in thanks, and he turned and walked through the Dimensional Tear that opened behind him. The Empyrean Star Alignment was a phenomenon that occurred once every one thousand years, and it would be taking place again in exactly one year. It wasn’t a lot of time, but Sicario knew he could make it work. Before one year passed, his plans would be complete.

[Jason’s Mansion]

[A Few Days Later]

Gina was standing on the high balcony overlooking the training ground below with a worried look on her face. Down on the ground, Jason was sitting in a meditative position, and the aura around his body swirled dangerously as he poured more mana into his Resonance. It had been a week since Jason came back from Tarisavia, and Gina could tell that something had changed in Jason since then.

When Jason first came back, Gina immediately knew that the mission had not gone to plan at all. Jason had a dangerous, intense look around him, and no one could go close to Jason for some time. When Jason finally calmed down, he explained what happened to Gina and Agiel, and Gina immediately knew that it was not Jason’s fault that things ended that way. The Arcane Arts were just too unpredictable for Jason to have expected the Court to have power like that! But even though they knew it was not Jason’s fault that things ended like this, they could both tell that Jason was blaming himself for letting Theosis escape. Jason allowed Gina and Agiel to take care of him for a while and it seemed like they managed to get his mind off the Court of Apostles for a short time, but it wasn’t long before Jason had gotten right into his training.

Jason trained like a man possessed. Every single day was spent in this room, and the only time Gina managed to see Jason was when she came here to bring him his meals. Gina knew that Jason was pushing himself because he didn’t want to be unprepared for what was coming in the future, but Gina was worried that Jason would push himself too much and end up hurting himself.

"Is he still there?"

A voice came from behind, and Gina turned to see Agiel entering with Stella behind her. Gina nodded as she turned to look down at Jason again, and Agiel joined Gina with a worried frown. Agiel was wearing the Enforcers uniform once again because she had recently reapplied for her previous role, and she regained her position as a Commander in the force. Agiel knew she had a lot of responsibility on her own world, Jadar, but Agiel decided to leave the running of Jadar to Farlow for now.

Since Agiel had formed a Soul Bond with Jason, Agiel was sure that her people would prosper, so Agiel decided to just take some time to herself and stay on Earth before she went back to try to become a proper Queen later.
