Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 1079: The Council Meeting

Jason began by telling Farlow about how the Apostle of Mind had been targeting him for a long time, both on Earth and on different other worlds. For some reason, the Apostle of Mind had a strange fixation on Jason, and Jason had a feeling that he knew why.

Farlow spoke up with a small frown.

"Is it because you have the Shadow Aspect?"

Jason was a little surprised when Farlow said this, and Farlow just gave Jason a look of disbelief. Did Jason really think Farlow wouldn’t figure out what his shadow abilities were!? Farlow has never been able to feel any mana whenever Jason uses one of his shadow abilities, and Jason had been able to use them indefinitely without ever running out of mana! There was only one type of power in the world that could allow a mage to do something like that, and that was the Arcane Arts! Farlow had found out about the Shadow Art a long time ago, and Farlow wouldn’t be surprised if most of the powerful mages in the world also knew that Jason had the Shadow Art! It was just impossible not to notice it!

Jason eventually nodded and said that the Mind Apostle was probably interested in that!

"There’s a group called the Court of Apostles. They’re made up of all the other Arcane Art users. I think they’re trying to get this Art off me for some reason, but they can’t hurt me directly, so they’ve been trying to cause problems around me for a while now."

Farlow hummed curiously as he digested all of this, and then Farlow turned to Agiel as she spoke up as well.

"I don’t know if it’s useful, but I noticed that the advisor had been acting weird since the time he invited me back home. Almost like he was desperate to have me marry the king or something. I think that Mind Apostle wanted to take my Soul Bond to use it for himself."

Farlow folded his hands and looked away thoughtfully! If what Jason and Agiel were saying was true, then this changed everything about this situation! Although what Jason did was definitely illegal, the fact that the King and multiple other people on this world had been under the control of a third party changed the description of Jason’s actions! Rather than interrupting an interworld event, what Jason did was basically disrupting a potential hostile takeover! There were still going to be a lot of questions about why Jason was even here in the first place, but in the end, Farlow had a feeling that they could find a way to work around all of that and avoid any form of sentence for Jason!

Farlow was happy about this. Even before coming here, Farlow had already been trying to think of a way to make sure Jason avoided going to jail! That was why Farlow had issued the evacuation notice so quickly after he saw Jason’s letter earlier! Farlow knew that the King of Jadar and Agiel were already about to get married, and by issuing the evacuation notice, Farlow would be interrupting their wedding and forcing them to leave the world quickly! There was a very low chance the King of Jadar would’ve actually listened to Farlow’s orders, and by disobeying the orders, the King of Jadar would’ve given Farlow enough reason to sanction him under the Primordial Treaty!

Farlow had been hoping that by sanctioning the King of Jadar and making him a criminal, Jason’s actions on this world would no longer be considered as something serious, since Jason would basically be going up against a criminal! It was a long shot, and there were a lot of loopholes that Farlow would’ve had to go through to make sure Jason didn’t end up in jail, but Farlow had been confident that he could avoid Jason being arrested using this method.

But thankfully, Farlow realised that he might not even need to use it at all! If the King of Jadar was already under someone else’s control, then that completely removes most of Jason’s crimes!

Farlow was still angry at Jason for not even consulting him before coming into his domain and acting like this, but all of that anger was suddenly forgotten when Jason spoke up.

"I think we found a way to stop the Celestial of Death once and for all."

Farlow froze in shock, and he looked at Jason with a no-nonsense expression on his face! This was not the sort of thing you could joke about, so Farlow had to make sure that Jason was telling the truth! But when Jason met Farlow’s gaze with a serious expression as well, Farlow realised that Jason was serious! Farlow immediately asked Jason how, and Jason gave Farlow a basic explanation of the skill [Erasure of Origin].

Farlow listened to everything Jason had to say with an analytic expression, and for a moment, Farlow found it hard to believe that this was actually true! But Farlow knew that Jason would never lie about something so serious and Farlow had to find a way to wrap his mind around such an outlandish ability!

The ability to erase the origin of anything you understand! That was one of the most unbelievable things Farlow had ever heard, and Farlow began wondering if Richard would have gotten this same power if he had bonded with Agiel’s mother all those years ago. But Farlow just shook his head and forgot about that! That was in the past, and it didn’t matter! What mattered was that Agiel and Jason had the power now!

Farlow looked from Jason to Agiel curiously, and then he immediately decided that they couldn’t handle this on their own.

"I’ll call a meeting of the Council of Nine and One. We need to come up with a plan."

And that was how all the members of the Council found themselves in a meeting a few hours later. Since all the council members were busy taking care of the evacuations on their individual worlds, none of them were actually present in the Stone Catacombs. Instead, they were having a group call with holographic projections of their bodies sitting on the individual thrones. The only person who was actually at the Stone Catacombs was the purple mist representing C’thlyanu.

C’thlyanu turned to the holographic image of Jason and asked.

"So Jason, you are certain this ability of yours will work? I will always be in support of anything that can stop such a disaster, but I hope you understand the implications of failure."

Jason hummed calmly as he nodded in confirmation. Jason understood that going into the cloud formed by the Celestial of Death meant certain death for anyone, and if Jason’s theory was wrong, then he would also die. But Jason just had a feeling that he would not die here. Maybe it was because of the prophecy that Harold told Jason about, or maybe it was because of how intimate Jason was with death, but Jason just knew that he could do this.

"This is foolishness. Are you truly going to risk your life based on such a basic prophecy? We don’t have time to waste on such pointless experiments! We’ll only be putting more lives at risk. We should be focused on trying to evacuate the people as quickly as possible."

The Angel Rak’hael spoke up from her place on the second seat, and Jason raised a brow when he saw the angry look on her face. Jason smiled with a sarcastic expression:

"What’s this, Rak’hael? Don’t tell me you’re actually worried about me. I didn’t know you cared so much."

Rak’hael’s frown deepened even more when Jason said this.
