Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 1074: Agiel’s Past

Jason entered the SMD building, and he looked around the dark interior calmly before turning to his left to see a little girl sitting on the floor at the corner of the room! It was a cute girl who barely looked older than ten years old; she was dressed in a long white gown, and her white hair flowed around her shoulders in beautiful snowy strands. The girl was holding onto a large teddy bear, and she gazed up at Jason with curious eyes. Jason hummed calmly as he turned to face her fully, and for a moment Jason was confused about what he was looking at, but it didn’t take long for Jason to realise what this was.

’It’s young Agiel. This must be how Agiel looked when she first came to Earth. When Dad saved her from the war on Jadar after her mother was killed.’

Jason felt an empathetic feeling go through his body as he stared at the little girl, and he gently moved towards her and crouched in front of her. Jason smiled, and the little girl blushed and smiled back before speaking.

"H-Hello, my name is Agiel. Nice to meet you."

The little girl’s voice was high-pitched and cute, and Jason couldn’t help but feel amused as he realised that this cute little girl would grow up to be the battle-hungry woman that was always chasing him around. Jason reached out and rubbed the little Agiel’s head affectionately, and the little girl laughed while ducking her head cutely!

Jason spoke:

"Hi, Agiel. My name’s Jason. It’s nice to meet you too."

The little Agiel felt a surge of embarrassment go through her body when she saw the handsome smile on Jason’s face! Her cheeks reddened as she ducked her head before she spoke with a shy smile.

"You look a lot like Mr. Richard. Are you his son?"

Jason hummed and nodded slowly.

"Yes, I am. Do you like Mr. Richard?"

Agiel shrugged.

"I don’t know. Mom says Mr. Richard was supposed to be my father, but he abandoned her. That’s why our world went to war, and she died."

A complicated expression formed on Jason’s face at that moment as he saw Agiel’s true feelings toward his father, but Jason easily got rid of that expression, and he listened as the little girl spoke again.

"I’ve been waiting for a long time for you, you know. Uhm... You’re here for me, aren’t you?"

Jason nodded once.

"Yeah, I came for you. I’m sorry I took so long."

The little Agiel laughed and shook her head!

"It’s fine! I would’ve waited all my life if I needed to! You’re worth it!"

Jason felt a tremor go through his heart as he saw the innocent smile on the little girl’s face! At that moment, Jason felt like he would lay down his life to protect this little girl if he needed to, and Jason let out a long sigh as he realised how much damage he had caused by ignoring all the signs that he had been getting! If Jason had accepted these emotions earlier, would things have been easier for everyone around him? Jason didn’t know the answer to that, but Jason also knew that dwelling on things like that didn’t make any sense! The past was already written into history, so all Jason could do was accept it while moving forward into the future!

Jason smiled at the little girl once again, and he said.

"Do you want to come with me? Back to the real world."

Jason knew that he needed to wake Agiel up for them to complete their bond, but Jason didn’t know exactly how he was meant to do that. The little Agiel smiled at Jason excitedly before she raised both hands up towards him! Jason raised a brow in surprise, and Jason huffed with a small grin as he realised Agiel was asking him to lift her. Jason just nodded as he bent low to allow Agiel to grab his neck, and he lifted her into his arms!

The little girl sat on Jason’s right arm effortlessly, and she had one hand around his neck and the other one held her teddy bear tightly as she gestured towards the stairs.

"I’ll show you where I am. Come on~!"

The girl swung her legs playfully as she guided Jason forward, and Jason just smiled as he followed her instructions and moved across the reception area before making his way up the stairs. As they walked, Jason and little Agiel spoke about random things, and Jason learned more about Agiel’s past and how she came to be the person she is now. Jason learned about the Jadar bond of destiny and how it could determine the future of the entire world. He learned about how Agiel’s mother and father were not meant to be together, and that was what led them to war. Jason learned about Agiel’s childhood and her early years on Earth.

How Agiel hated his father, even though his father was responsible for saving her life! It was because of this hatred that Agiel had gone away to college and began living on her own once she had the chance.

Jason then learned about Agiel joining the Enforcers to get some freedom and becoming the warrior that she is now. It felt like everything Agiel did in her life was to try and get away from the Marc family once and for all, but for some reason, no matter how much she tried to run away, her destiny always led her back to Jason!

Jason walked for a few minutes, and by the time he reached the top of the stairs, little Agiel was laughing cutely at a joke he made about how aggressive Agiel’s courting attempts were. Maybe if Agiel wasn’t always trying to fight him every time they met, he would’ve liked her a little more!

"But that’s just who I am, Jason. I hate weakness, and I despise the people who accept that they can never amount to anything. They’re nothing but sheep. When I learned that you were my Soul Bond, I had to make sure that you weren’t one of those sheep. That’s why I was always trying to fight you. I wanted to prove to myself that you were the right choice."

The little Agiel spoke with some uncharacteristic wisdom at that moment, and Jason hummed as he asked.

"What if I wasn’t as strong as you hoped? If I was just a regular human, would you have left me alone?"

Little Agiel smiled.

"No, of course not. All of that was just excuses I came up with after I learned that you were my Soul Bond. I really don’t like the Marcs, you know, and I thought that if you were weak, I could convince myself not to love you and I wouldn’t have to get involved with the Marcs anymore. But I was just being silly. Even if you were the weakest man in the world, I would’ve still abandoned everything to be with you."

Jason huffed in amusement, and he stopped in front of a door at the end of a long tunnel. Little Agiel shuffled around Jason’s hand, and Jason realised that she wanted to be put down. Jason dropped her gently, and he stayed on one knee as she spoke to him.

"You’ll have to go alone from here on. My place is here in the mindscape. But I hope I see you again."
