Jason knew that trying to scan Tigal’s mind would only lead to the same result as the other Machina, but that was only if they were in the real world! Right now, they were all within Agiel’s mindscape, and this meant that Jason had a direct link into Tigal’s mind without needing to pass through the physical body! Jason realised that he had an opportunity to scan through Tigal’s mind properly and finally find out exactly what it was that the Mind Apostle had done!

Jason tightened his hand around Tigal’s neck even more when Tigal tried fighting back, and then Jason closed his eyes and poured Qi out from his body!

A wave of Qi immediately flowed out from Jason and transferred towards Tigal, and it quickly rushed up through Tigal’s body and began seeping into his brain! What followed next was one of the most challenging mental battles that Jason had ever been in!

The moment Jason’s Qi touched Tigal’s mind, the Mind Apostle was immediately made aware of what was happening, and the Mind Apostle quickly realised that Jason was trying to scan the mind of his puppet! The Mind Apostle tried to cut Tigal off from his connection, but the fact that Tigal was inside another person’s mindscape at this moment made it impossible for the Mind Apostle to have full control over the connection, and in a sudden twist, the subconscious part of Tigal’s mind that wasn’t under the Mind Apostle’s control fought back against the destruction and tried to preserve itself and prevent the Mind Apostle from destroying it!

This caused the Mind Apostle’s destruction to move very slowly through Tigal’s mind, and as a result, a large part of Tigal’s consciousness was still very active for Jason to scan through! Jason immediately began to feed his Qi into the various meridians in Tigal’s mind, and once this happened, various images and memories began to play in Jason’s head! Images of Tigal as a young child playing with other children, images of Tigal joining the military and fighting for the Queen! Images of Tigal falling in love with the Queen and Tigal’s anger as he saw the Queen marry someone else!

Tigal starting the revolution and then killing both the previous Queen and King! And finally, images of Tigal meeting with Agiel and giving her the choice to marry him and save her people! Once all of that passed, Jason finally got to the important part, and he saw the meeting between Tigal and the Mind Apostle in the western wing of the castle!

At this point, the Mind Apostle was already pushing even harder to try and destroy Tigal’s mind completely, and it was a battle between how much the Apostle wanted to kill Tigal and how much Tigal wanted to live! And unfortunately for Tigal, the Mind Apostle was someone with a mental strength that surpassed any man, and this allowed the Mind Apostle to finally overpower Tigal’s desperation to live, and he tore through Tigal’s mind at a rate that was almost parasitic! The Mind Apostle destroyed every single bit of information that he had ever given to Tigal! But in the process of destroying it, the Mind Apostle made a mistake!

The Mind Apostle was not a Qi practitioner, and he had never used Qi before, so he didn’t understand that Qi itself was the essence of life and memories. And just the act of touching someone’s Qi within such a complex mental system was enough to reveal a lot of information to that person!

The Mind Apostle accidentally brushed against Jason’s Qi for just a split second, and in that split second, Jason got an image!

Jason jolted as he was suddenly forced out of Tigal’s mind by the Mind Apostle’s power, and Jason watched as Tigal’s body slowly faded away into dust and vanished into the wind! Since Tigal’s mind in his real body outside had been completely destroyed by the Mind Apostle, there was no more mental essence left for Tigal to use in here, and so Tigal had simply vanished from existence and died!

But Jason didn’t care at all about what happened to Tigal! Jason’s eyes were wide in shock as he revisited the memories that he had just received from Tigal, and Jason felt a victorious grin stretching across his face as a perfect image of the castle built in the mountainside appeared in his head once again! The Mind Apostle thought he had won by destroying Tigal’s mind, but the Mind Apostle had no idea that he had given Jason exactly what he wanted! Jason had found the Mind Apostle’s hiding place!

Jason felt an intense surge of amusement bubbling up from deep inside him at that moment as he threw his head back and laughed loudly! This was perfect! After all this time, Jason had finally gotten the leverage he could use to kill that bastard once and for all! Jason’s laughter slowly died down after a few long seconds, and Jason narrowed his eyes into a heavy glare!

Jason was sure that the Mind Apostle didn’t know he had revealed this information, so the Mind Apostle would be caught completely unawares when Jason attacked him in the future!

Now that Jason had gotten this information, he was going to make sure he didn’t waste it! First, Jason had to finish dealing with the Celestial of Death. But once he was done, Jason would go and deal with the Mind Apostle once and for all!

A few seconds later, Jason began making his way over the Riverdale replica within Agiel’s mind, and Jason found himself looking around in surprise as he noticed all the landmarks and familiar buildings around him. Jason’s former rented house and the Riverdale bridge were a few kilometers to Jason’s left, and the Riverdale Academy that Jason used to attend was also close by. The Monarch Guild building didn’t exist at this time since this was before Jason gained so much power on Earth, so there were just a few random skyscrapers where the Monarch Guild building was supposed to be. Jason continued moving until he finally arrived at the area where the mana signature had been coming from.

Agiel had been trying to stop Jason from leaving the building, and Jason had to force his way out on Ragnar to go and save Gina. Jason floated down slowly, and he narrowed his eyes as he noticed that there was someone standing in front of the building and looking up at him with eye sockets that shone with a white light! It was a female figure wearing a military uniform, and the moment Jason saw her white hair, he immediately knew that this was Agiel!

But Jason was confused! The mana signature that Jason could feel coming from this area wasn’t coming from the woman below him! Instead, it was coming from someone inside the SMD building. And since Jason was sure that the mana signature belonged to Agiel, did that mean that there were two Agiels?

What Jason didn’t know was that the Agiel standing in front of him was not the true Agiel. Instead, this was a mental projection crafted by Agiel’s mind as a way to protect her Soul from anyone trying to reach it. Usually, the process of forming a Soul Bond was very straightforward. The moment two people recognized that they were meant to form a Soul Bond, they were meant to immediately accept that bond, and the woman would give a part of her soul away in an eternal union. But things had not gone right for Agiel at all!
