As the Mind Apostle unleashes mind-controlled soldiers and prisoners on the city, Jason commands his subordinates to contain the chaos. He then pushes through a magical shield surrounding Agiel and the King, discovering the King is also under the Mind Apostle's control and that Agiel herself opens the way for Jason. Inside, Jason finds himself in a replica of Riverdale from his past, wearing clothes he wore when he first met Agiel.

Jason narrowed his eyes, and he slowly allowed his mana to flow out of him in a calm wave as he scanned the region. Jason immediately noticed that there were two other mana signatures in this world. One of them was a mana signature that Jason didn’t recognize on the far east side of Riverdale, and Jason figured that this mana signature had to belong to King Tigal. For some reason, King Tigal was moving around randomly, and Jason wondered if King Tigal was lost or something, but Jason ignored the King for now, and he turned to the other mana signature instead!

This mana signature was on the west side of the city, and Jason immediately knew that this was definitely Agiel. This time, the mana signature that Jason felt was weak and suppressed, like someone had bottled it up into a small container and hid it on the other side of the world! What the hell happened to Agiel’s mana? If Jason had to describe what he was feeling in regular terms, then he would say that Agiel’s mana was almost depressed.

Jason unconsciously tried to summon some of his subordinates, but a system tab suddenly popped up in front of him.

[The user’s consciousness has been separated from his body and transported into a mental world outside of reality. The user should know that he is incapable of summoning any of his subordinates into this mental world.]

Jason hummed when he saw this message from the system, and Jason clicked his tongue before he gave up on summoning the subordinates. Jason didn’t really need them after all, and Jason was sure he could deal with anything in this world without their help. Black bat wings appeared on Jason’s back before Jason floated into the air! Jason already had a feeling that he wouldn’t be able to summon his subordinates in here. Even though Jason could feel his connection with his subordinates, there was some sort of wall blocking them from coming here, and Jason knew that this was a similar situation to when he had met Rumunage on Radagan all those months ago.

Jason first wondered if he should go find Agiel on the west side of the city, but Jason could feel the mana signature on the east side getting closer, and Jason knew that he would have to deal with Tigal before he could have any time to talk to Agiel. And besides, Jason knew that Tigal was under the control of the Mind Apostle, so Jason couldn’t just let that bastard roam freely!

Jason turned towards the east and blasted off in the direction of Tigal’s mana signature! The east side of the city was where most of the rich and powerful lived, and it was filled with large estates and commercial residential buildings! As Jason flew over it, he noticed a figure coming in his direction from far away, and Jason narrowed his eyes as he realised that this was Tigal!

Tigal had a furious look on his face as he flew across the sky like a bullet! Jason was still far away, so Tigal couldn’t sense Jason yet, and Jason immediately swerved through the air to head straight towards the Jadite King!

Tigal, meanwhile, was in a hurry to reach Agiel! Due to the connection Tigal had with the Mind Apostle, Tigal was able to receive information from the Mind Apostle about what was going on in the real world, and the Mind Apostle had just sent Tigal a message telling Tigal to hurry up and form the bond with Agiel since Jason had arrived on Jadar! But in order to do that, Tigal had to first find Agiel!

Unlike Jason, who was an amazing sensor, Tigal was not that good a sensor, so when he had first arrived here, he had been completely lost since he had no idea where Agiel was. Tigal had flown around aimlessly for a few minutes to try and get Agiel’s mana signature, and it wasn’t until a few seconds ago that he finally found what he was looking for!

The moment Tigal felt Agiel’s mana signature on the east side of the city, he bolted across the mindscape with all his strength to try and reach her first, but Tigal felt shock pass through his body as he felt a foreign mana signature appear on the opposite side of the mindscape!

Tigal did not need to be a great sensor to know that such an imposing mana signature could only belong to Jason Marc, and Tigal had sped up even more to try and get past Jason and reach Agiel first, but Tigal would never get the chance to reach her! What happened next barely took even a second! At one moment, Tigal had been flying across the air like a bullet, and in the next moment, a hand lashed out from the side and grabbed Tigal by the face before Tigal was suddenly stopped dead in his tracks!

DOON!

A sudden pressure blasted through the air as all of Tigal’s momentum reversed at once, and Tigal felt his entire body fold in half as he was pulled back and tossed across the world!

BOOM!

Tigal broke through multiple buildings as he flew through the air! He tumbled head over heels like a ragdoll and skipped across the ground like a rock on water before he finally smashed into a massive mansion on the far east side of Riverdale!

Tigal let out a curse as he forced himself to his feet, and he held his chin in pain! The flight through the air hadn’t even hurt that much, but whoever had grabbed him had almost broken his jaw! Tigal looked up at the roof he just fell through, and he saw a figure in a shirt and jeans floating over him with large bat wings like an angel from hell.

Tigal sneered and shouted in an angry voice!

"Who do you think you are!? How dare you interfere in my wedding – URK!"

BOOM!

Tigal didn’t even get to finish his words before Jason charged down and slammed him into the ground! Jason pressed his foot into Tigal’s chest, and Tigal sneered up at Jason angrily when he saw the condescending look on Jason’s face! Jason spoke up in a calm voice.

"It’s you in there, isn’t it, Mind?"

Tigal’s eyes widened in shock when he heard this, and then Tigal growled.

"How dare you address my master in such a disrespectful way! You will show the proper respect - ARGH!"

Jason pressed his foot down even more, and Tigal groaned in pain as he was nearly sent through the ground! Even though Tigal was the king of this world, he was still only a TITAN Rank II, and when faced with the sheer power of a PRIMORDIAL like Jason, there was absolutely nothing he could do!

"Tell me, do you have a direct link to the Mind Apostle, or are you just a puppet he left behind?"

Tigal sneered!

"I will tell you nothing!"

Jason frowned, and he immediately blurred forward and grabbed Tigal by the neck before pulling him up and slamming him into the wall! The entire mansion shook from the impact, and Tigal struggled fruitlessly against Jason’s grip! Jason tightened his hand, and Tigal almost choked in pain!

Jason’s eyes glowed with the blue light of [Qi Sense], and Jason immediately scanned through Tigal’s body! Over the past few minutes, Jason had come to a realisation. Back when the Machina refugees had attacked Earth and opened the Blue Gate a few months ago, Jason had tasked the Gaia organisation with trying to understand what happened to the Machina by scanning their minds. But Gaia hadn’t found anything useful because anyone they scanned would immediately have their brains destroyed!

Jason had also failed to extract a lot of information from the Machina, and the only way Jason managed to find out anything about the Mind Apostle was by delicate mental surgery using his Qi. So Jason knew that trying to scan Tigal’s mind would most likely lead to the same result. But that was only if they were in the real world!
