Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 1041: Unexpected Visitors

Jason was enjoying watching the Phoenix for a while, but Jason suddenly blinked and turned to his right as he felt a Qi signature approaching from a distance. When Jason used [Eye of the King] to see who it was, he just chuckled!

On the other side of the forest, Girai and one of her friends were heading quickly in the direction of Jason’s fight! Girai had a frown on her face, and her friend had a tense expression on his face as he followed behind her!

"Girai, I don’t think we should be doing this. The master told us not to leave the western portion of the forest."

Girai’s friend spoke up in a low voice as he tried to get his friend to see reason, but Girai completely ignored him as she landed on a branch and continued jumping from tree to tree!

"Girai!"

The boy called out again, and this time, Girai glanced back to speak to him with a scowl!

"If you’re so scared, then you can go back on your own! If that Jason guy can be here, then just how bad can it be? I need to see how strong he is, so wait for a few minutes!"

Girai had abandoned the other members of their group because she wanted to go and see Jason’s battle against the more powerful Corrupted Beasts, and even though they had not encountered any beasts yet, Girai’s friend knew it was only a matter of time before they met something that was far too powerful for them to handle alone! Girai’s friend let out a long sigh as he continued to follow behind Girai. Even if he wanted to go back now, it wouldn’t be possible since they were so deep into the forest already! Girai’s friend decided that he would just have to wait for Girai to see what she came here for!

The two disciples continued to jump across the trees as they made their way to the Western region of the forest, but they were suddenly stopped in their tracks as they heard an ungodly bellow echo through the region!

OOOOGGGGHHHH!

The scream sent a wave of fear through the bodies of the two young cultivators, and they looked up in shock as a massive shadow appeared above them!

"Move!"

Girai shouted to her friend, and she quickly dived toward him and pushed him out of the way as a giant monster fell from above and crashed into the spot where they had just been!

The monster tore through multiple trees and created a massive crater in the ground, and Girai put her hand up to her face as a strong shockwave blew across the region! Girai could feel her heart beating rapidly, and she watched with wide eyes as the giant beast began to slowly get up to its feet! Girai had read stories about the strength of the beasts that lived in this part of the forest, and their teachers had always told them that they weren’t strong enough to face it yet! But Girai always believed that those teachers were just trying to scare them away from coming here, and she pridefully thought that she could handle the monsters here since she was so much stronger than all her other classmates!

But as she looked at the giant monster stumbling to its feet, Girai realised that she was absolutely wrong! This beast was beyond anything Girai could even hope to match in strength! Just being in front of it like this made Girai’s legs feel weak, and she couldn’t muster any strength to even call out for help! Were they going to die here?

WOOSH!

SQUAWK!

A loud cry echoed through the region as the temperature of the forest shot up dramatically, and Girai looked up as another shadow appeared above them! The large crimson phoenix flashed across the air like a missile, and the monster completely ignored Girai and her friend while letting out a deep bellow towards the flying phoenix! The bird turned around as its body left a trail of fire across the air, and it opened its mouth and unleashed a skill!

[Phoenix Shot]!

A magic circle formed in front of the phoenix’s mouth, and a spark of pure Qi erupted to life in front of it before exploding forward in a blast of pure, concentrated phoenix fire! The blast tore through the forest like a laser of death and eradicated everything in its path, and Girai watched with wide eyes as the monster in front of her was completely consumed by the laser! The monster didn’t even have a chance to fight back!

By the time the laser died down, the only thing left in front of Girai was a long, deep trench that had been permanently burned into the ground! There was smoke rising from the blackened earth, and Girai simply stared at it with wide, disbelieving eyes. The phoenix had completely eradicated that beast from existence! So this was the true power of a phoenix soul beast? How long would it take her to reach this sort of level?

"Hey, are you two alright?"

"!"

The two young cultivators almost jumped out of their skin as someone suddenly spoke up from behind them! Jason stepped out of the shadow of a tree with his hand in his pocket, and he looked over the two kids calmly to make sure they were alright before he raised a brow while asking what the hell they were doing here. Didn’t their teacher tell them to stay on the other side of the forest?

Girai’s cheeks reddened when she saw the condescending look on Jason’s face! It felt like Jason was treating her like a misbehaving child, and Girai quickly got to her feet and spoke while dusting herself off!

"W-We were just exploring deeper in the forest, and we stumbled on the fight. You don’t need to worry about us."

Jason hummed as he looked towards the boy beside Girai, and Jason noticed the boy couldn’t get up. The boy’s legs had gone numb from how terrified he was! There was just no way he could see something like that without feeling fear! Jason motioned to the boy calmly.

"You should take your friend and get out of here. The fight is going to get more intense soon."

Girai stepped forward.

"I want to stay and watch. I’m the strongest cultivator from my generation. I won’t hold you back."

Jason raised a brow in curiosity, and behind Jason, a massive explosion tore through the forest as one of the monsters unleashed a Qi skill. The flames from the explosion surged towards the trio, and both Girai and her friend took steps back, thinking they were about to be burned, but Jason just waved his hand back while unleashing his own Qi, and all the flames evaporated at once! Jason then spoke up calmly.

"I don’t have time to babysit you. I’ll get some of my servants to look after you as you head back."

Girai felt an intense surge of anger rising from deep inside her when she heard Jason’s words. Did Jason just say he had to babysit them!? They were all the same age, so why would he need to do that!? Jason turned around to leave, and Girai stepped forward to speak up again, but she was surprised when Jason suddenly stopped in his tracks and turned in the direction of the Main city outside of the forest! Jason’s eyes were narrowed in surprise, and Girai wanted to ask Jason what he was sensing, but Jason wasn’t paying her any attention. Instead, Jason was speaking to one of the subordinates that he had left back in the main city with Stella.
