Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 1040: The First Battle

Jason just huffed in amusement as the Phoenix started throwing a tantrum. Although the Phoenix was very strong, Jason couldn’t forget that it was just a young child, so it had very childish tendencies. Jason eventually decided to just put the conversation aside for now.

’I guess we’ll decide later then. Come on, we have to focus on the fight.’

Jason finally stopped in the middle of the forest, and he glanced around to sense all the monsters hiding in the shadows. If all the monsters continued hiding like this, they wouldn’t be able to do their training before the sun went down, so Jason needed to do something about this. Jason looked into his Alternate Dimension, and he saw that he only had about one hundred subordinates left in there.

Earlier today, just before leaving the inn, Jason had been thinking deeply about what he needed to do to get stronger. Jason knew that most of his subordinates were far too weak, and they wouldn’t be able to give him any significant boosts or help him in any battles with their level of strength, so Jason had an idea. Rather than keeping these weak subordinates beside him, why not just send them out into the Primordial Expanse and have them pick fights with extremely powerful creatures?

It had been a completely unhinged thought, but Jason knew that it was crazy enough to just work. Jason’s subordinates could easily pass off as regular beasts so long as they weren’t with him, and Jason knew that they still had the ability to carry out remote resurrections whenever they were alone, so they could increase Jason’s Legion count in the process.

Jason was already a PRIMORDIAL, so there was hardly anything in this world that could hurt him anymore, and even if Jason faced off against another PRIMORDIAL, there was no way the weaker Subordinates would be able to help him!

So Jason wanted them to go and fight against other creatures so that they could grow their Hierarchy percentages, and at the same time, Jason would gain a lot more beasts in his army! Jason had picked out a total of three thousand subordinates that he would send out into the Primordial Expanse. Most of the subordinates were extremely weak, and Jason knew it would be hard for them to defeat anything, but Jason didn’t mind them dying at all.

Jason could simply resurrect them if they died, and even if they lost a lot of fights, they would still gain experience and raise their Hierarchy, so it was perfect!

Most of Jason’s most powerful subordinates had gone towards multiple worlds in the Sixth Domain. Subordinates like Arcticus, Raya, Dino, and many of Jason’s dragons, like Ragnar, were going to be hunting through the more dangerous worlds in the Sixth Domain, while the weaker subordinates would be travelling to other domains.

Jason gave the subordinates instructions not to hunt too many creatures at once so that they wouldn’t permanently alter the natural order of that world. Jason knew that many of the Overlords kept an eye on their more powerful worlds, so if they sensed a new beast appearing out of nowhere and killing all the powerful beasts, they might be able to track it back to Jason. So Jason would rather take things slow.

The subordinates were still on their way, so there hadn’t been any notifications for kills or deaths yet, but Jason knew it was just a matter of time before they started coming in.

CAW!

A loud sound echoed through the air as the Phoenix sensed some beasts in the distance, but Jason knew that the beasts would not agree to come out since they were all so terrified of him. Jason called on multiple subordinates at the same time, and he gave them an order.

’Bring those bastards out here.’

Jason’s subordinates surged out from the Alternate Dimension! Azael rose from the shadows like a warlock and raised his staff into the air, and multiple Bengari warriors charged forward to confront the beasts! The sky began to darken as storm clouds gathered overhead, and the magic in the region shot up to impossible levels before Azael pointed his staff towards a certain cluster of trees and unleashed his spell!

[Rain of Lightning]!

The spell decimated the treeline, and massive roars echoed through the area as multiple monsters ran out of the attack zone to try and avoid the lightning! Multiple Bengari warriors and Machina soldiers charged out from the shadows and ran towards another part of the forest, and loud roars echoed through the region as even more monsters appeared from that side as well!

The monsters were all running around erratically and causing massive tremors, and Jason warned all the subordinates not to kill any of the monsters before he raised his hand towards the phoenix!

’They’re all yours! Show me what you got!’

SQUACK!

The phoenix narrowed its eyes seriously, and it immediately charged downwards while leaving a trail of flames behind and headed for the first monster! This beast was a creature that stood on four legs with black fur and a gorilla-like face! It was as large as a giant bear, and from what Jason could feel, it was around TITAN Rank II in strength!

Phewoom!

The phoenix tucked its wings in and turned into a literal missile as it fell from the sky, and before the gorilla could even notice what was happening, the phoenix tore through its body and burst out from the other side, leaving a massive hole in its stomach! Jason whistled as the Phoenix continued toward another monster, and it repeated the same trick and killed the TITAN Rank easily!

The phoenix was also around TITAN Rank II in strength, so the fact that it could kill other TITAN Rank IIs so easily was insane.

’It’s the fire. The phoenix flames are far stronger than its actual strength. I’m a PRIMORDIAL, and I still feel a sting on my skin even though I have a Fire Affinity, so the flames must be scorching to other TITAN Rank II and III monsters.’

The phoenix suddenly changed tactics when it got to a monster that actually tried to fight back against its attack, and the Phoenix stayed at a distance in the air and activated a skill!

[Phoenix Blaze]!

The fire around its body immediately surged to an impossible temperature before a massive explosion tore through the forest! Jason sent his own Qi out to snuff out the fire that nearly took down a large portion of the trees around him, but by the time the smoke from the attack cleared up, the Phoenix had killed more than five monsters all at once!

After this, the phoenix suddenly went on a killing spree as it challenged, defeated, and burned multiple Corrupted Beasts at the same time! The forest shook and trembled from the fierce attacks of the phoenix, and Jason could feel the phoenix steadily growing stronger the longer it fought! The phoenix fire grew brighter, and its movement became sharper! It looked like the phoenix was a champion fighter that was slowly getting used to the feeling of battle the longer it stayed in the ring!

ROARR!

A loud voice came from somewhere behind Jason as a corrupted beast tried to hit Jason! The beast realised that Jason was the one in control of the phoenix, so even though it was dangerous, the corrupted beast knew that getting rid of Jason would help it get rid of the phoenix! But the beast didn’t even have the chance to take a step towards Jason! The moment it appeared, two Bengari warriors charged straight towards it and unleashed a synchronized set of sword slashes that completely eradicated the beast from existence! Jason didn’t even have time to see what sort of beast had attacked him before the beast was already dead!

The battle in the forest continued for a long time, and Jason couldn’t help but smile when he saw how powerful the Phoenix was. The phoenix had close-range skills, long-range skills, and even an AOE skill that would affect enemies all around it! From what Jason could see, the phoenix wouldn’t lose to anyone below the PRIMORDIAL Rank, and Jason had a feeling that it wouldn’t be long before it reached that level as well!
