Strongest Necromancer System Chapter 1014: Esdath of The Celibacy Technique

Qi as an energy source, was an extension of the soul, and by sensing the Qi of the animals in this forest, Jason could easily guess if they were hostile or not! And the deeper Jason went, the calmer her felt as he simply enjoyed the serene atmosphere! It was almost as if Jason was high on some sort of drug, and the world around him seemed to shine with brighter colors and echo with pleasant sounds!

Stella seemed to also be enjoying the peaceful feeling surrounding her, and after a while, she lowered her sword and completely forgot about fighting as she slowly let down her guard.

’This is another trap, isn’t it?’

Jason’s eyes suddenly sharpened as this thought crossed his mind, and Jason realised that there was something wrong here! The natural Qi in the air was too peaceful and calm! Almost like it was intentionally making them let their guard down!

Jason reached out and caught an arrow that had been shot at him from the side, and Jason turned to glare at a woman kneeling on a branch! The arrow the woman fired was made from wood, and the arrowhead was metal, but there were carvings made in the material that Jason didn’t recognize, and Jason realised that those were Qi Matrices. Jason’s eyes narrowed as the Matrices began to glow, and in the next moment, the arrow exploded!

KA-BOOM!

Jason and Stella were encased in a ball of fire, and the woman who fired at them smiled, but her smile quickly vanished when the smoke cleared out and she saw that Stella was still standing there without an injury on her body! But Jason was gone!

’Where’s the man!?’

The woman looked around in shock while wondering where Jason was, but a hand suddenly landed on her head, and she felt fear grip her heart! Jason had a look of annoyance in his eyes as he stared down at the woman, and Jason slowly looked up at the multiple branches all around him to see hundreds of people in white robes surrounding him. Some of them were holding bows and arrows with intricate matrices carved into them, and others were holding long silver swords with matrix carvings as well, and Jason could sense that every single one of them possessed an incredible amount of Qi!

The cultivators were all pointing their weapons towards Jason, but Jason didn’t even look like he cared! Stella drew her own sword, and she eyed the newcomers with a hard gaze while preparing for a fight, and the tension in the forest grew to unbelievable levels as they all waited for anyone to make the first move.

At the front of all the cultivators was a man wearing a long robe with a black sash around his waist. He had long hair and aristocratic features. There was a straight longsword in his right hand, and from what Jason could feel, this man seemed to be the most powerful one here! Jason easily figured that this was the leader, and Jason spoke to him calmly.

"I’m not here to fight anyone."

"We do not welcome strangers into our home. I do not know how you managed to reach this forest, but this is as far as you go."

The man responded in a hard tone as he tightened his hand around his sword! Jason’s hand was still on the head of the woman kneeling in front of him, and the woman didn’t dare to move since she knew that a single mistake would be enough for Jason to rip her head off!

’Hey, hey, tell them I sent you!’

Esdath spoke up from inside Jason’s Alternate Dimension, and Jason hummed and spoke up:

"I came here with instructions from Esdath of the Eastern Mountain Sect. He’s the one who guided me towards your forest."

Multiple eyes widened in shock once they heard that, and murmurs immediately began to fly across the forest when the cultivators heard that name!

"Esdath of the Celibacy Cultivation Technique? Didn’t he die in that cave?"

"The man who never slept with any woman in one thousand years of life? That Esdath?"

"How did he meet this stranger from another world?"

"Did Esdath really ascend to another world? Maybe his Astral Projection was still lingering?"

The murmurs continued to grow as the cultivators wondered how Esdath had come in contact with Jason! The cultivators could all tell that Jason and Stella weren’t from this world since they had mana rather than Qi. Everyone born in this world could only use Qi, so it was easy for them to tell whenever someone was from another world! But the fact that Jason was from another world only made his claim even more unbelievable! How would Esdath come in contact with someone from another world after dying in this world!?

The man standing in front of the other cultivators raised his sword to signify silence, and the entire group quieted down so that he could speak! The man then turned to Jason and said:

"I don’t know who really sent you here, but Lord Esdath has been dead for close to two centuries now. I can forgive the transgression of entering our forest without permission, but I will not forgive you for trying to fool us using the name of our ancestor!"

Jason clicked his tongue as he heard this, and he turned inwards to ask Esdath what they should do now! But rather than answering, the idiot Esdath was busy nodding in appreciation of what he had just heard!

’Hehehehe! Finally, someone that understands my greatness! From now on you have to refer to me as Lord Esdath! I am an ancestor! Do you hear me!? An ancestor! Show me the respect I deserve, dammit!’

’I’m gonna come in there and shove my foot up your ass if you don’t get serious.’

Esdath’s laughter immediately died a brutal death, and Esdath coughed into his closed fist as he spoke again.

’You need to understand that they won’t just accept you into the sect without any proof that you are really my student. Repeat after me: I am Jason, student of Esdath...’

Jason hummed as he spoke in a loud voice and repeated what Esdath said.

"I am Jason, student of Esdath, and I have come to claim my right of awakening. My pledge is to the Eastern Rising Sun."

Multiple eyes widened in shock when they heard this, and the leader of the cultivator group stepped forward angrily!

"Where did you hear that pledge!? No outsider should know it!"

Jason narrowed his eyes.

"It was told to me by my teacher Esdath. As a wielder of the pledge, you have an obligation to allow me to attempt the ritual of awakening."

The murmurs from the cultivators picked up once again! All the cultivators here knew that Jason was right. The pledge that Jason just spoke was a secret password that only true members of the Eastern Mountain Sect knew about! It was used by teachers to give their students permission to attempt the awakening, and giving it to a student meant that the teacher believed the student was ready for the next step! No member of the Eastern Mountain Sect would give that pledge to an outsider lightly!

The long-haired leader spoke up.

"Very well, we are willing to accept your pledge. But first you must prove to us that you are truly a student of the Great Apostle Esdath. Tell us where you met Esdath. Is he still alive?"

"No, he’s dead. Esdath appeared to me as a spirit and taught me what I needed to know about cultivation. That’s how I learned about your sect and the pledge."

The murmurs grew once again, and the long-haired leader in front of the group narrowed his eyes. Even though it was hard to believe, the cultivators all knew that it was very possible for a spirit to travel across worlds after death!
