Fang Cheng's Inner World underwent a significant transformation after his Spirit Attribute broke through 80 points, expanding into a true island with a nascent ocean. He discovered the primitive microorganisms within the water and contemplated the need for an ecological law and a catalyst to foster life. He observed the monks of Gufeng Temple, who remained in a perpetual, unresponsive state within his Inner World. Realizing that Merit and Wish Power are crucial for world evolution, Fang Cheng focused on his own Path and the accumulation of Spiritual Energy from his believers, noticing Ira and others from the Wasteland World were in danger. With his enhanced abilities, he decided to test his concept of the "Sun Heart Net" to strengthen his believers.

The sunset is like blood, with yellow sand covering the sky.

The twilight is like rust-colored paint, splashed over the ruined cityscape.

Towering concrete skeletons slant skyward, as hot winds pass through exposed steel bars, stirring up a series of muffled wails.

In addition to swirling gravel, the air is filled with a persistent sulfur smell and a subtle scent of blood.

Boom!

Kael’s double-barreled shotgun spat out fierce tongues of flame.

A shower of steel pellets forcibly halted the "Blade-tailed Leopard" covered in heavy bone armor ahead.

Roken seized the opportunity, raised his modified rifle, and fired in quick succession.

Da! Da! Da!

Bullets shot out blinding sparks on the mutant beast’s hard skull, making sharp metallic noises.

The Blade-tailed Leopard roared in pain, its head thrown back.

Then, it leapt, flicking its tail like a steel whip, and lunged forward.

Kael, leading the charge, couldn’t dodge in time, finding himself about to wrestle with the mutant beast closely.

"Watch out!"

Ira’s eyes widened, and she shouted sharply.

Invisible Telekinesis burst out instantly, forming a semi-transparent wall in front.

With a muffled "bang,"

the airwaves rolled, dust spread.

The Blade-tailed Leopard’s massive body was forcibly bounced away.

Ira skillfully changed her tactics, transforming the Telekinesis into invisible chains to wrap around the beast’s forelegs and yank them sideways.

The cracking sound of dislocated bones followed, and the Blade-tailed Leopard lost its balance, crashing into the rubble.

"Well done!"

Seeing this, Kael immediately pulled out a broad-bladed short knife and charged forward bravely.

He had immense strength and was especially experienced in life-or-death combat.

With a swift, clean move, he accurately stabbed into the beast’s throat through the shell’s gap, stirring forcefully.

The giant beast twitched a few times, then fell silent completely.

The battle ended, and the group leaned against the broken wall, panting heavily, obviously exhausted.

The protective suits were covered in dark red blood stains, but fortunately, their bodies only had a few minor scrapes.

"Nicely done, Ira."

Kael wiped blood off his mask and gave her a thumbs up:

"If you hadn’t locked its joints, this Peak of First Rank brute would have gutted us."

Roken nodded in agreement, amazement in his voice:

"Ira, your Telekinesis has improved tremendously since last month; you can even suppress and control creatures of this Level without a hitch."

As they spoke, footsteps sounded on the rubble outside, crunching on the stones.

Pike peeked out from behind the broken wall, followed by a young man.

This man wore a brand new advanced protective suit but did not have that heavy gas mask, instead with two miniature filters embedded in his nostrils.

It seemed this was enough to isolate the ground’s radiation effects.

He was young and handsome, but his eyes were narrow, brimming with clever calculation.

This man was Norton, a junior officer in the Iron City Inner City’s resource management bureau.

His abilities were seemingly average but he was highly adept at maneuvering, securing positions in the Inner City by currying favor.

The intelligence on the Blade-tailed Leopard’s habitat and related weaknesses for this hunt was all provided by him.

Relying on this intel allowed the Hunter Squad to eliminate the target at minimal cost.

Norton stepped forward, his gaze sweeping over Kael and the others, landing directly on Ira.

He curled his lips in a gentle smile, speaking in a familiar tone:

"Ira, it seems the intel I provided was accurate; you’re not hurt, are you?"

Pike stood behind, making a face at Norton’s back.

Born in the wasteland, the wild child had a special intuition.

He felt that beneath Norton’s refined facade lay unspoken intentions, his smile exceedingly insincere.

What annoyed him more was that this guy intended to pursue Sister Ira.

To Pike, Ira was like a mother and certainly not suited for a man like this.

Ira stepped back half a step, keeping her distance, politely smiling with pursed lips.

The prayer a month ago had completely changed her.

The golden sun that rose in the depths of her consciousness emitted scorching golden rays, forcibly dispelling the mental pollution that had tormented her for years.

From then on, whenever she used Telekinesis, the torturous headache never returned.

Instead, it was incredibly smooth, and her mental burden greatly reduced.

Whenever she calmed her mind, the image of a War God engulfed in flames always floated in her head, vaguely feeling that the golden sun must be the embodiment of that figure.

Compared to such a grand existence, the calculating Inner City officer before her seemed utterly ordinary.

Norton, not bothered by Ira’s distant attitude, shifted his gaze to the mutant beast’s corpse:

"This is a Peak of First Rank Blade-tailed Leopard; there’s a considerable chance of it producing a Blood Core."

Upon hearing this, Kael and Roken’s eyes brightened instantly.

The two set aside their fatigue, pulled out daggers, and broke open the beast’s skull, searching through sticky cerebrospinal fluid.

"Got it!"

Roken held up a blood-stained orb, his voice trembling with excitement:

"It’s truly a First Rank Blood Core!"

Everyone gathered around instantly, their jubilant mood dispelling the lingering gloom of recent days.

Pike swallowed, counting on his fingers:

"How many pounds of clean roasted meat and fungus mush can this trade for? Enough to last us half a year, maybe!"

"Ambitious."

Kael playfully scolded, explaining:

"Save these up, gather two or three, and we can buy a villa in the Inner City, no longer needing to sleep in an iron shack by the sewer."

Norton stood aside, a trace of greed flashing in his eyes as his fingers clenched into a fist slightly.
