More Apostles of Destruction appeared, but they eyed each other like predators rather than attacking. The relic users prepared to fight, but the protagonist devised a plan to exploit the Apostles' predatory nature. He gathered divine energy to trick them into believing their targets were weakened, preparing to signal the relic users for an attack.

The way that this Apostle of Destruction looked at the other one was how a predator would look at the prey that they were about to attack.

In the end, this was what happened.

The Apostle of Destruction that had just been looking at the other Apostles of Destruction with wary looks suddenly pounced.

The one that was being attacked had a confused look on its face, but it wasn’t as if it wasn’t going to defend itself.

When the two of them clashed, both were surprised.

After all, they had felt each other’s auras and knew that this shouldn’t have happened.

The other side had weakened to the point where they were supposed to be weaker. Yet when they clashed, the other side had been able to block the attack that came out.

It almost felt like they were even equal in power, which was a completely different story from how the aura felt.

However, it didn’t feel like they had made a mistake.

When the two sides checked each other’s aura again, they were certain that the other side was weaker than them. So they continued attacking each other even though it didn’t seem like one side was being pushed back by the other.

As time passed, both sides started to get weaker and weaker and their attacks weren’t anywhere as strong as before.

That was when the relic users suddenly went in to deal with them.

But as this was happening, there were other Apostles of Destruction that moved in to take the kill from the relic users. They had been paying attention to the fight as well and were waiting for the moment to strike.

Only when they were about to approach, they suddenly came to a stop.

From the way that they looked in the direction of the two Apostles of Destruction who were fighting, it seemed like the situation had changed for them.

It was as if there was some kind of other variable that had appeared that made them unwilling to take action.

The relic users were surprised to see the Apostles of Destruction acting like this, but they ignored them as they knew what they were supposed to do. The only thing that they had to worry about right now was taking care of the two Apostles of Destruction that were still fighting with each other.

While this was happening, there was another pair of Apostles of Destruction that suddenly started fighting.

It was caused by one Apostle of Destruction suddenly pouncing on another one of the Apostles of Destruction.

It was similar to how the first fight had started between those two Apostles of Destruction.

During this time, there was another group of relic users that moved towards those two Apostles of Destruction.

Once they had weakened enough, that was when they started moving in. But during this time, there were other Apostles of Destruction that also went forward as well.

However, they weren’t able to reach them in the end as the same thing happened where they all suddenly came to a stop. They had been in the middle of approaching when it seemed like there was something that they had sensed that stopped them from going forward.

Once was a coincidence, but a second time was clearly more than that.

Of course, I wasn’t surprised since I was the one that was directing all of this.

After testing it, it wasn’t hard to figure out what drove these Apostles of Destruction.

I had been right about them acting in the same way that predators would. They had already demonstrated that this was how they would act, so it wasn’t strange that I could manipulate them like this.

Though there was a part of me that couldn’t help feeling that there was something strange about the fact that they were allowing me to do this.

After all, these Apostles of Destruction should have enough intelligence that they would be able to see through this. But the way that they were following the crumbs that I laid out in front of them made it seem like they were intent on following their instincts.

Though it wasn’t as if this was a bad thing for me.

I was just wondering how long this would keep going...

"Do they really have no thoughts at all? They should already know that this is a trap with the way that the others are being taken down?"

Anyone with eyes would be able to see that they were being manipulated by the aura that they sensed, so they would have learned not to trust it. But even so, it seemed like they were more willing to trust the aura than their eyes.

That was unless...

"They can’t see?"

If that was the case, it would explain why they were acting this way.

At the same time, it isn’t as if we could tell what kind of appearance these Apostles of Destruction had since they were covered in corruption energy. So it was definitely possible that they didn’t have anything to see with.

As they were being controlled by the fake auras that I created, the Apostles of Destructions were slowly being worn down.

I made sure to pair ones that were at the same level with each other just so they wouldn’t be able to win that easily and would wear each other down. But in the end, there were those that were able to win against their opponent.

Still, that wasn’t a problem as I had the relic users take them out while they were absorbing their spoils.

They had been weakened enough and they were trying to recover, so it was the perfect chance to take them down before they could recover.

Once the numbers fell to a certain point, it seemed like the Apostles of Destruction were also changing. It seemed like they were becoming more desperate as they realized that there were less and less of them.

That was when I pulled everyone back since there was no telling what they would do once they were desperate.
