Apostles of Destruction are manipulated by fake auras into fighting each other, weakening themselves. Relic users move in to finish them off, but other Apostles of Destruction are also drawn to the fights. The protagonist realizes these Apostles may be blind and unable to see the deception, allowing the plan to continue until a critical number of Apostles are eliminated, at which point the protagonist pulls everyone back.

Once again, none of the Apostles of Destruction were planning on attacking each other.

It was just that this scene was different since they weren’t looking at each other anymore.

Instead, they were looking at us.

Or they were just looking in the general direction of the aura that they were feeling.

It wasn’t as if I could completely hide our aura since the method I was using was to use the divine energy to hide ourselves. As Apostles of Destruction, it was normal that they would be able to sense divine energy.

However, it didn’t seem like this was something that they were used to as they only looked in our general direction.

From this, it was clear that they really couldn’t see anything and relied on sensing aura to find things.

But why wouldn’t they be able to see anything?

Still, that didn’t matter right now as the only thing that mattered was how we would deal with these Apostles of Destruction.

In the end, it didn’t seem like they were planning to remain still for long.

Though what they did didn’t seem like something that they would have done normally. This seemed like something that they were doing because they had been forced into it.

"Are they attacking each other?"

That was our first thought when we saw them suddenly charge at each other.

But in the end, they didn’t rip pieces from each other like they did before.

Instead, they just smashed themselves together as if they were trying to form a single lump. It was as if they wanted to push themselves together as much as possible, almost as if...

"Stop them!"

I was already releasing my swords as soon as I said this.

When the others heard it, there was only a second of hesitation before they all understood why I was acting this way. Then they all charged right after my swords when they heard this.

But we didn’t manage to reach them in the end.

Before it could reach the mass that the Apostles of Destruction had formed, there was this shockwave that suddenly came from them that pushed all the swords back. At the same time, the edges of the swords looked like they had been decayed by something with how parts of it were worn down.

At least the relic users had been prepared, so it wasn’t as if they had been too affected by this shockwave.

"Is it corruption energy?" I asked the relic users that were pushed back.

They nodded their heads at first, but then shook it as well.

From the confused look in their eyes, it seemed like there was something strange about this shockwave that had hit them. It seemed like there was something else that was inside of it.

As the mass formed from the Apostles of Destruction stopped moving, the aura that was coming from them had changed.

This was an aura that was far more complete compared to before, this was an aura that felt like the aura of a member of the Four Omens.

However, it didn’t feel like it was that strong compared to the aura from the members of the Four Omens that I encountered previously. It was even weaker than the first two that I had encountered.

In the end, it seemed like they had failed to become a proper member of the Four Omens. Though that wasn’t strange since they had been forced to do something that was different from how they would have normally formed.

At the same time, they had lost most of the nutrients that they should have obtained when we took care of the other Apostles of Destruction. It would have been strange if they still had the power that a normal member of the Four Omens should have.

"But they shouldn’t be that weak since they chose to do this..." I still didn’t let my guard down.

The fact that they had been forced into this situation still meant something.

Desperation could bring out great strength and this desperation had forced them into doing this, so it meant that there was some kind of meaning behind them doing this.

As for what the meaning of this was, it was hard to tell just based on what could be seen.

The only thing that could be done now was to slowly test this thing and see if we could take it down.

With a wave of my hand, there were even more swords that gathered in this space around the mass of the Apostles of Destruction.

At the same time, I pointed behind us and there were relic users that went to exit this cave. It wasn’t that they were running away, but rather they were going to deal with the corruption energy monsters that were approaching.

After the Apostles of Destruction had formed this mass, the barrier that had been separating this cave had disappeared. The corruption energy monsters also seemed to have been summoned by the mass to protect it.

Which was why they were going out to deal with the corruption energy monsters.

There was no need to worry about them since they were able to easily deal with the corruption energy monsters.

The ones that stayed behind moved to match my swords, as if they were planning on using the swords as cover to attack the mass. It seemed like they had learned from being sent flying back previously, so they wanted to use me as cover.

I didn’t mind this at all as I sent the swords towards the mass.

When the swords approached, the mass didn’t release the same shockwave as before. Rather, there were tentacles that suddenly came out of the mass that shot out at my swords.

It was as if they wanted to directly clash with the swords themselves even though it didn’t seem like they were strong enough.

When they did clash with the swords, the results were as expected as the swords stabbed right through the tentacles.

Though I couldn’t help knitting my brows when I saw this.
