The protagonist announces open casting for new divine relics, overriding the racial alliance's control over who can test them. When questioned about the relics' origin, he cryptically suggests asking the gods, revealing to the reader that he worked with the Holy Empire to mass-produce the relic bases. He then announces a special recruitment for higher-grade relics, appeasing the racial alliance.

It took a week to gather everyone, but they were gathered in the end.

There were some that came early that wanted to get started, but I rejected all of them as we waited for everyone to arrive.

Once they arrived, that was when I finally took out the relics that I promised them.

But since there were only so many of these relics and there were so many that were sent here, it took quite a bit of time for them to test this.

Still, it wasn’t a problem since everything had been prepared.

As I watched the ones that came trying out the relics, there was a smile with a trace of disdain that appeared on my lips. It didn’t matter just how many they sent here since these divine relics weren’t the kind of things that could be taken by anyone.

Unless they had a special connection to it, the relics just wouldn’t connect with them.

Though that was the reason that we brought in all those people in the first place since we didn’t know if anyone would be able to connect to these relics.

Even now, it seemed unlikely that there would be anyone that would connect to them.

After all, these people were certainly among the strongest in the kingdoms and sects that they came from. It was just that it wasn’t strength alone that determined whether one was able to make a connection to the relics or not.

Since these were the ’strongest’ among the relics that I brought out, they were also the ones that had the strictest conditions to being able to use them. It wasn’t as if they would be that easy to connect to.

Though there really was no telling what kind of things would happen.

But in the end, I wasn’t surprised by the reactions that came from the relics.

Based on these reactions, it was clear that no one would be able to form a connection with these relics. It didn’t seem like there was anyone that would be able to take these relics away.

Seeing that their chosen representatives weren’t able to do anything, the ones from the various sects and kingdoms that brought them here couldn’t help looking like they wanted to curse them out.

But even if they did curse them out, it wasn’t as if they would be able to change the situation.

Which was why the only thing that they could do was look at me as if they wanted me to do something.

I took one of the relics and released the power that was contained within before putting it back down. Then continuing forward, I released the power that was in each one of these relics before putting them all down again.

Seeing this, there were a bunch of confused looks that came in my direction.

It seemed like none of them underwood my intentions of showing them the power of these relics. In which case, it wasn’t as if it was my job to give them any more hints than this.

I just ignored the fact that they looked at me as if they were accusing me of making things more difficult for them and went back to watching.

It wasn’t as if I was lying to them when I said that these were special relics and that they were stronger than normal relics. It was just that unless they understood what kind of relics these were, they wouldn’t even come close to being able to obtain them.

After a while, there was one that was able to claim a relic.

Seeing this, I couldn’t help giving an appreciative nod.

At the same time, there was a trace of relief that filled me.

The one that had been able to claim one of the relics was a cultivator.

From the records that I received, I saw that this was a cultivator that had a special physique which was most likely the reason why it was able to claim this relic in the first place.

That physique that cultivator possessed was one that was linked to the attribute of the relic which created that resonance that was needed for them to take the relic away.

However, this wasn’t the important thing.

The fact that one of the cultivators was able to take the relic confirmed one thing for me that had been on my mind the entire time.

The cultivators had never shown any compatibility with the divine energy in the first place. However, the divine energy was needed if one wanted to combat the forces of Destruction.

Just giving them the divine energy weapons wasn’t enough since that only allowed them to function as cannon fodder.

At the same time, they had never shown the ability to use immortal energy or even shown immortal energy relics. There might be some hidden in the larger sects, but they had never shown these things or even thought to use them.

They were the things that the sects relied on to sustain themselves, so it wasn’t as if they were taken out that easily.

In that case, the only thing that I could rely on was giving them these divine energy relics.

As long as they possessed the ability to use the divine energy relics, then they would be able to fight the forces of Destruction.

I had been worried when they couldn’t even survive in the presence of mana, but the divine energy relics really were different. They were on a completely different level compared to mana.

In the end, this gamble had paid off and it showed that they were able to use the divine energy relic.

Without this, it would have turned the racial alliance into something else.

The cultivators might have even been forced into a bad position in the end after the transition period if they didn’t show this ability.

So it was a good thing that they were able to use the divine energy relics in the end.

Now it was easier to bring the two sides together.
