Looking at the cultivators, I asked, "Have any of you tried coming in contact with the divine relics that we use."
The cultivators were caught off guard when they heard this before slowly looking at me as if they couldn’t believe what I was saying.
On the other side, the representatives from the racial alliance looked like they had just swallowed a whole egg. This was clearly not something that they supported and they were showing everything on their faces.
But ignoring them, I waited for an answer from the side of the cultivators.
After a long silence, one of the sect masters said, "We’ve had a look at the relics, but there hasn’t been any reaction from them. It doesn’t seem like it’s compatible with our cultivation techniques."
"Is that for everyone or just the ones that you sent?"
As soon as I asked this, he couldn’t say anything in response.
Awkward expressions appeared on the faces of the representatives from the sects as they didn’t know how to respond to this. At the same time, they couldn’t believe that I was actually pushing them this hard.
On the other side, there were awkward looks that appeared on the faces of the representatives from the racial alliance.
After all, the swing that I took wasn’t just at the members of the sects.
It was also aimed at those from the racial alliance since they had done something similar.
The main problem was that the relics only responded to those that had the aptitude to wield them, so it wasn’t something that could be forced. It all depended on the people who interacted with the relics.
So to find the ones that were able to use the divine energy relics, we kept bringing in people to test them with those relics. It was using the people strategy until we found someone that was compatible with it.
These people came from the countries of the racial alliance and now I was looking into expanding that into the sects as well.
The problem was that the people from the racial alliance didn’t freely allow people to come and test themselves with the relics. They only allowed the people that were under their control to come so that they would be able to control these relic users.
It wasn’t a problem previously since there were enough people for this, but now there was a lack of people testing for the relics. At the same time, I had done something that would allow even more relics to appear.
Which was why I couldn’t just let them keep acting the same way that they had been acting.
This was something that had to change or else it would become a problem if the forces of Destruction were to do something.
In the end, the thing that was looming over our heads was still the forces of Destruction.
"We’ll be holding trials for new relics that have just been created. These trials will be open to anyone that wants to test it regardless of their status. The racial alliance will be in charge of giving them this opportunity." I said it without even caring what they would respond with.
The way that I said this was almost as if I was giving a decree.
However, it wasn’t as if they could say anything in response since they knew what they were doing. The fact that we had turned our eyes the other way was already enough to put pressure on them.
So instead of focusing on this, they turned their attention to something else.
"Where did these relics come from?"
That was the question that was brought up in the end.
They phrased it in a way that made it seem like they were entitled to an answer to this question. After all, they were all part of the racial alliance and something like this wasn’t supposed to be hidden from them.
"It’s something that the gods gave, so why don’t you ask them for the source?"
There was nothing that they could say in the face of this.
Though they tried to ask the Holy Empire to help them mediate since the Holy Empire was the empire that had the closest connection with the gods. However, the Holy Empire didn’t seem interested at all in mediating for them.
That was because the Holy Empire already knew the source of these relics.
I knew that something like this was impossible to hide from them, so that was why I had reached out to the Holy Empire before doing any of this. Not to mention that the Holy Empire’s facilities did make things much easier.
One set of molds that I made were for mass producing and the other set was made for producing something special.
After that something special was made, it naturally needed divine energy to actually function. That was where the Holy Empire stepped in since they had all the facilities that had been built.
What I created were nothing more than bases for divine relics, but it still needed some kind of divine energy from the gods.
Which was why these vessels were brought to the various temples of the gods and bestowed with divine energy.
They were more than willing to help as long as they received proper compensation in the form of faith, which was something that the Holy Empire had plenty of. So in the end, we were able to create all of these new relics.
Though after creating them, I didn’t like the way that the people from the Holy Empire looked at me.
Seeing that they were still unhappy about this, I said to them, "We’ll be holding a special recruitment as well since there are a few higher grade relics that require special people to use them. As such, we hope that the various members of the racial alliance will send out their best for these trials."
Their eyes lit up the moment that they heard this, but they did what they could to hide them. Still, it was enough to convince the representatives of the racial alliance to calm down and even work with us.
In the end, just the word ’stronger’ was enough to convince their pride.
