"They really are demons."

For those that were seeing the cultivation techniques of the demonic sects for the first time, that was the only thing that they could think of.

It was hard not to think this when they saw just what kind of cultivation techniques these demonic sects possessed.

Which just made them even more ferocious when they fought the demonic sects.

Even when the demonic sects tried to use corruption energy to fight back, it was no use since this corruption energy was just too weak to face the divine energy weapons that we were using.

It was like an adult fighting a child with how easily they were swept through.

In the end, it didn’t even feel like they were able to bring out any corruption energy at all.

"There are no more Apostles of Destruction."

I had thought that there would be a few more hiding or there would be more that made deals with the God of Destruction, but that didn’t seem to be the case at all.

In fact, it didn’t seem like any of the higher ups of the demonic sects had made a deal with the God of Destruction at all.

"Is it because they don’t have enough ambition?"

After all, they had already reached the peak of their own sects, so it wasn’t as if there was a place for them to climb any higher. Since there was no place for them to climb any higher, then they didn’t have the ambition that those that were starved had.

As for taking over this entire cultivation world, they already knew that it was impossible to do. Or at least for these higher ups of the demonic sects who were fully aware of their own lack of talent that it was impossible.

Unless they were powerful enough to sweep the entire cultivation world, then they would be able to take it over.

However, it was still strange that there weren’t any Apostles of Destruction at all.

The way that they desperately tried using the corruption energy, it was almost as if they had run out of the corruption energy. It was almost as if they had lost the source of the corruption energy that they had been using.

"Could it be that the God of Destruction has abandoned them?"

The more that I watched, the more likely that it seemed that the God of Destruction had completely abandoned these demonic cultivators. They were completely left alone to face us as we attacked the demonic sects.

So in the end, there was nothing that could be done as all of their defenses were destroyed.

The interesting thing was that even the demonic cultivation techniques that they used seemed to be suppressed by the divine energy that they faced.

The way that the divine energy suppressed the demonic cultivation techniques, it was almost like how holy magic suppressed the undead or dark magic.

Divine energy was just a higher form of holy magic in the first place, so it made sense that it would be able to suppress those dark powers. But now it seemed like even the demonic cultivation techniques fell under the same banner as those dark powers.

When some of the demonic cultivators saw the relic users using their divine energy, they even thought the same thing as the orthodox cultivators, "Immortals..."

It was what had persuaded them to give up without a fight in the end.

With everyone working together, it didn’t take long for the higher ups of the demonic sects to be captured. Of course, it wasn’t as if we were able to capture all of the higher ups of the demonic sects.

In the first place, they were in the demonic sects because of their obsessions and some of them just simply couldn’t give those up. Which was why they decided to fight until the very end.

Still, we were able to capture quite a few of the demonic cultivators in the end.

Seeing the demonic cultivators that had been captured, the expressions on the faces of the orthodox cultivators weren’t good.

They had been enemies for a long time, so they naturally recognized the faces of the higher ups in the demonic sects. The way that they looked at them showed that they wanted nothing more than to rip these people apart.

But there was something that I wanted from them before that.

It was a fact that they had some kind of connection with the God of Destruction with how they had been using the corruption energy and colluding with the Apostles of Destruction.

I wanted to see just what they could tell me about the God of Destruction.

"Who is the God of Destruction?"

That was the unified answer that came from the demonic cultivators when I asked this.

It didn’t seem like any of them knew what I was even talking about with the way that they reacted.

Seeing this, I narrowed my eyes to look at them to see if they were just pretending or not. But seeing the genuine confusion in their eyes, it really seemed like they had no idea what I was talking about.

However, this should have been impossible with the way that they were using the corruption energy. There had to be someone that had been guiding them, especially since there were even corruption energy monsters that came out to fight.

After thinking for a bit, I changed my question, "What do you know about the lord that those Apostles of Destruction were telling you about?"

They were still confused, but it seemed like the demonic cultivators were slowly figuring out what I was talking about.

After all, it was hard to confuse this for anything else other than the ones that had told them about the corruption energy.

Once they figured it out, they didn’t hesitate to tell us everything that they knew.

In the demonic sect, there really wasn’t anything like loyalty to each other.

The only thing that they cared about was their own survival.
