When we returned, it turned out that a lot of demonic cultivators had been captured during the fight.

As expected, it had become an all out war between the orthodox cultivators and demonic cultivators.

The one thing that I didn’t expect was just how many of them had been turned into Apostles of Destruction.

"The demonic cultivators are those that would do anything to become stronger, so I guess it makes sense that they would be easily influenced by the promises made by the God of Destruction." I said this while shaking my head and giving a sigh.

"But isn’t this just too many?"

Seeing how many corpses were placed in front of me, I really didn’t know what to say.

I knew that this place had a large population in the first place, but I never thought that there would be enough that there would be this many people being swayed by the God of Destruction.

It seemed like the demonic sects really were filled with all kinds of ambitious people.

Those were the people that the God of Destruction loved to prey on the most.

Yet this really was just too much.

How could the God of Destruction create all of these Apostles of Destruction in the first place?

It wasn’t as if it was that easy to create Apostles of Destruction, yet there were all of these Apostles here. It was as if the God of Destruction didn’t care as it spread its destruction energy to all of these people.

So it was hard to tell just what it was the God of Destruction was aiming for.

"Is it just using numbers in an attempt to spread the corruption energy through this world as quickly as possible?"

That seemed like the only possibility that I could think of and the more that I thought about it, the more likely that it seemed. After all, this was a world that didn’t have a way of dealing with the corruption energy.

Even if they had a way of stopping it from spreading with their spiritual energy, it wasn’t as if they could completely stop the corruption energy. All that they could do was push it around and restrain it with spiritual energy.

"If we didn’t come here, then there’s no telling what would have happened to this place."

Once all of the reports came in, there was another request that came from the orthodox sects.

"Please help us crush the demonic sects."

It was a surprising request to say the least since it really didn’t feel like they would make a request like this to people that they considered outsiders. But I could tell that it wasn’t a request that they made that easily.

This was something that took them a while to actually agree on before bringing it to me.

So it could be said that they had prepared themselves as if they were selling themselves off.

Only it wasn’t as if I wanted that to happen.

In the first place, the racial alliance was something that had been created for everyone to benefit from. It wasn’t something that had been created to take advantage of anyone, even though there were certainly those that wanted to do such a thing.

Which was why there was no need for the orthodox alliance to act this way.

"We’ll have to deal with them sooner or later anyway since it seems like they’ve already been corrupted to a certain extent."

The representatives from the orthodox sects were surprised to hear this since they didn’t think that I would be this direct with them.

Though I did add, "I hope that you won’t mind if we spare a few of them. From what we can see, it only seems like most of them have been corrupted, but there’s always a chance that there are those that haven’t been corrupted yet."

When they heard this, they didn’t look that hopeful.

But since this was the only request that I made, it wasn’t as if they felt like it was something that they could reject.

Though I could see that this wasn’t the only reason that they agreed.

Even though the demonic sects and the orthodox sects had been at war for a long time, it wasn’t as if they completely hated the people of the demonic sect. There were those that they hated, but they knew that there were those that had been dragged into the demonic sects as well.

It was only those that completely aligned themselves with the demonic sects that they hated.

With everything decided, the only thing that was left to do was to go and finish off those demonic sects. However, I didn’t actually let the soldiers that came with me take care of this.

Instead, I told the orthodox sects that we would need some backup before we could crush the demonic sects.

The looks on their faces made it seem like they thought that we would be able to do it even with the ones that we currently had here, but I still insisted on going back to bring the others here.

It wasn’t as if it would take that long since they had been gathering since we found this place. It was just that there was never a reason to actually bring the others down without making it seem like a display of aggression.

But since they needed our help, it was easier to bring in our forces without making it seem like some kind of invasion.

"What is this place?"

It was only natural that they would be shocked by this place when they saw it for the first time. But it didn’t take long for the troops that I brought with me to quickly assess the situation and figure out what they had to do.

That was what the cultivators thought when they saw the relic users which I couldn’t help feeling was a bit funny.

However, it would be easy to take down the demonic sects with these forces.
