As we went further in, all that appeared were more buildings that were clearly the former parts of the Myriad Wonder Sect.

These buildings should be filled with treasures that were left behind by the Myriad Wonder Sect.

Which was why the moment that these buildings appeared, all of the sect masters and elders looked at me with a trace of wariness in their eyes.

It was clear that they were all waiting for me to say something, but what I actually said went against what they thought.

"How about we take a closer look at the clearing over there?"

I didn’t bother addressing the surprise that was on their faces as I started moving in that direction.

There was a part of them that seemed to want to explore those buildings, but they abided by the rules that had been set. Mainly because all of the other sect masters were also here, so it wasn’t as if they could just leave the group without the others making a fuss.

But during this time, they did look at the disciples that came from their sects and gave them orders with their eyes.

At the same time, there was spiritual sense that filled the air.

This spiritual sense wasn’t from a single person, it was from a bunch of people at the same time. They were looking into the different buildings to see what was inside of them.

After they figured out what was inside, they directed the disciples of their sects towards the building that held the things that they wanted them to get.

It was one of those things where everyone was in on it, so it wasn’t as if there was anyone that was going against it.

Of course, I didn’t care either that they were doing this since it was just part of the fair competition that I mentioned before.

Though the main reason was...

"This flower seems interesting, does anyone mind if I take some?"

All of the sect masters looked at me with strange looks at first, but they quickly dismissed this matter since it wasn’t as if there was anything special about this flower that I was interested in.

This was a flower that was out in the middle of a field like this and there were no traces of spiritual energy coming from it. As far as they were concerned, this thing was nothing more than a normal flower.

In fact, some of them were even confused why I was asking about this.

For something like this, I could have easily taken it without telling them.

But in the end, they were just too busy directing the disciples of their sects to the places that they wanted them to go to actually care about me. So I was able to put that flower into my pocket without a single word.

After that, I continued strolling along at my own pace in these ruins.

No matter how anyone looked at it, it was as if I was just going on a stroll with how casually I was walking. So it didn’t seem like there was anything that they could complain about.

However, I knew exactly where I was going since it wasn’t as if it was my first time here.

The next place that I went to was a square in the center of the ruins.

With how wide and central it was, this was clearly the place that the members of the Myriad Wonder Sect gathered for sect announcements and such. There were similar places in all other sects in the cultivation world, but there would never be anything special in these places.

"Who would leave valuable things out in the open?"

That was such an obvious thought that the sect masters and elders just completely disregarded what I was doing.

Especially so when I picked up a random rock in the middle of the square to take with me.

"Are you crazy? Why would you want a random rock?"

They didn’t say this out loud, but they didn’t bother hiding their expressions.

If they weren’t holding back, they definitely would have said this out loud.

But I just ignored them as I kept moving through the Myriad Wonder Sect like this.

No matter what I did, they just didn’t understand what my goals were at all since all I was doing was picking up random things that didn’t have any value at all. These were things that were just randomly placed on the ground and didn’t have a trace of spiritual energy in them, so it wasn’t as if anyone would want them in the first place.

It was just that as this was happening, there was a group that looked at me with a different expression.

"They’re quite sharp." I couldn’t help thinking to myself seeing the way that they looked at me. But then after a pause, I changed my perception of them.

"It’s because they’ve been bitten once that they won’t fall for it as easily."

The ones that were looking at me like this were the elders that had shown me around previously. They were the ones that had to watch me pick up all kinds of treasures as I tripped while following them.

That included the token that had allowed us to access these ruins in the first place.

So they thought that if these were things that I wanted, it wouldn’t be as simple as it seemed.

I hadn’t been planning on saying anything at first, but it was clear that they weren’t going to drop this matter. Whcih was why instead of letting them cause a fuss later, I faced them directly.

"Do you want to have a look? I think these things are quite pretty, so I want to bring them back as souvenirs."

Awkward looks appeared on the faces of the elders when they had been caught like this, but they still used this chance to look at the things that I picked up.

When they weren’t able to find anything off with them, they had no choice but to accept that I wasn’t planning anything and drop this matter.

Though from the way that they looked at me, they were still feeling a bit off about all of this.
