"Is there a way to pull them out?" I couldn’t help asking as I looked more closely at the animals and plants in front of me.

I really wanted to pull out the parasites that were inside of these things to take a closer look at them, but it wasn’t as if that was easy to do.

From what I could see with my divine energy scan, there was something about them that seemed to be ignoring me. But the moment that I moved in a way that presented harm to them, there was no doubt that they would attack me.

For now, it seemed like these things weren’t interested in anything that they weren’t familiar with.

Based on how they moved, it even seemed like they only possessed simple intelligence.

They did have intelligence, but it wasn’t at the level where they would be able to make highly intelligent decisions. It seemed like they followed whatever they needed to do and nothing else.

"Or it could be that someone is controlling these things."

I couldn’t help thinking of the rock creature society where the upper class rock creatures had controlled the lower class rock creatures. They had even gone as far as treating them as slaves and cannon fodder.

So it was likely that this was the case with these parasites as well.

As this thought passed through my mind, I couldn’t help releasing the divine energy around me once more to form an area of surveillance around myself.

After all, I had no idea what it was that these parasites had even used to enter these animals and plants in the first place. If I wasn’t careful, it would have been too late to regret it if they were to enter me as well.

But after scanning the area and even my body, I found that there wasn’t a trace of these parasites near me.

It was clear that they were ignoring me, but that was a good thing.

After observing for a bit longer, a strange look appeared on my face.

I had been following how the parasites were moving around the body of things that they inhabited and I realized something.

"They’re using them as a kind of ship or building."

The plants were being used to create something.

It was something that the plants seemed to need as well as part of it was being taken by the plant and absorbed into it. But the other part seemed to be taken by the parasites that lived inside of the plant.

In a way, it could be considered what they had harvested from the plant.

After all, it seemed like whatever the parasites were doing inside of the plant was also helping it grow stronger.

So in the end, it seemed like this was some kind of symbiotic relationship where both sides actually benefited from it. The parasites helped the plants grow while the plants provided nutrients for the parasites.

When it came to the animals, they were all being driven by the parasites that were inside of it. That was why they were moving on the specific patrol patterns that they took.

With the way that they moved, it even seemed like they were protecting the plants that also had parasites in them.

"So everything that they’re doing is just to farm the plants?"

In the end, it didn’t feel like there was anything for me to do here.

After all, I couldn’t sense any danger coming from the animals and plants that lived on this island. It seemed like none of them were the area bosses of this room, so it felt like a waste of time to attack them.

But the main thing was...

"I’m lacking too much information to do anything."

Without proper information, there was no telling what would happen if I were to attack these things now.

There might even be the boss of these parasites that would show itself just like I predicted.

So with that thought in mind, I flew away from this island and headed to the next island in this room.

When I arrived, I found that there was a similar situation here.

There was the same farm setup with the same animals and plants being inhabited by the parasites.

It seemed like this society had spread all over the islands that were in this room.

But the surprising thing was that they all worked together as if there was nothing that got between them.

The way that they moved was as if they were in complete sync with each other.

It was almost a bit scary how they moved with one another inside of these plants and animals.

Though that wasn’t the only thing that was impressive about them.

"With how many islands they control as farms, just how big is their society?"

For them to use all of these places as farms, there was no doubt that they would have many mouths to feed. All of these mouths would be a potential enemy in my eyes, so it really felt like looming danger.

"But they really don’t seem to have any free will at all."

It really felt strange that the parasites inside of the animals and plants would act in a way that made them feel like they didn’t have any thoughts at all.

Though it soon made sense why this was the case.

"It’s quite the city."

This was the only city that I had discovered out of all the islands that I had landed on and it was quite the magnificent one.

But the more amazing thing was the sheer number of animals that moved in and out of the city.

These were animals that I had seen before, they were the ones that had guarded the farms on the various islands. But now it seemed like they were bringing all the things that they farmed into this place.

So this was the center of the society that the parasites belonged to.
