"Initiating defense protocols."

It really didn’t take much to trigger the defenses of this base.

As soon as I destroyed a single group of robot patrollers, the base suddenly started flashing with red lights. At the same time, there were all kinds of noises that came from the base before this was announced.

While this was all happening, it seemed like there were all kinds of things that were moving inside of the base itself.

"Is this base one large machine that’s connected with the robots that are coming in and out of it? Does that mean that the defender will be another robot that was designed by this base?"

I couldn’t help looking closely at the base as parts of it moved, but there wasn’t a single moment where I was worried about what was about to come out.

After all, the energy fluctuations from the base really didn’t seem threatening.

After a while, the door of the base opened.

This was a different door from the one that the other robots had taken, this was a door that was more than ten times as big as the previous doors that had been revealed.

Of course, there was a good reason for why this door was much bigger than the previous ones.

It was all because the thing that came out of the door was a robot that was much bigger than any of the robots that had appeared previously.

With the modifications that this robot had, it was obvious that this was a robot that was designed for battle. But when I saw the modifications that it had, there was a part of me that couldn’t help feeling disappointed.

That was because the modifications that this robot had weren’t really that special.

From what I could see with my eyes and the divine scan, the weapons that this large robot was using were things that I had seen before.

This robot looked a bit like a bird with how it was designed, but there was no mistaking the destructive power that it possessed.

The robot was a bipedal model that was heavier on the top than on the bottom as most of its weapons were loaded in its upper half. There was also a structure on its back that looked like a pair of wings, which was most likely what it used to fly with.

It was just that the weapons that it used were all things that I had seen in my past life.

I had been hoping for some kind of laser technology or technology that was even more advanced, but it seemed like this wasn’t going to happen.

Regardless, it was still interesting to see this kind of mech in real life.

I knew that this thing was a mech since I could see that there was even a cockpit in the center of this large machine. It was designed in a way that a human would be able to ride in it and control it.

"Well, robots are generally produced by humans or other intelligent life. Then once they’re developed, there’s the chance that there will be an uprising where the machines turn on the humans."

In the case of this room, that was clearly what had happened.

After coming out of the door, the large mech immediately locked onto me.

I wasn’t using an illusion spell since I had directly attacked the robots, so it wasn’t a surprise that it saw me. I even wanted to see what kind of weapons it would use against me.

Once it locked onto me, there were holes that appeared on the back of this mech that I followed with my divine energy scans. Only when the weapons came out of the holes, I was disappointed once more.

"So it still uses missiles..." I said with a sigh.

Even if I was disappointed, I wasn’t going to let my guard down for a second and make a mistake. Which was why I just simply raised the orb and sent out swords to intercept the missiles.

The missiles seemed to be guided as they went to avoid the swords, but it wasn’t as if my swords were just going to fly in a straight line either.

When the missiles tried moving out of the way, I also had the swords follow them.

It wasn’t as if the mech was the only thing that could guide its attacks.

Once the swords hit the missiles, they immediately blew up in the air.

It was the same kind of explosion that I was used to, so I was disappointed to see them.

Still, I flicked my hand and sent the swords out at the mech.

That was because the mech had also pulled out another weapon after seeing that the missiles didn’t work.

As the swords flew forward, they cut through the bullets that were shot out by the mech. None of the bullets were able to even come close to me as the swords cut right through them.

Seeing that the bullets weren’t working either, there were jets that appeared on the mech’s back. If it wasn’t for the fact that the jets were on the wings, then the wings really would have been useless.

But with these wing jets lifting it up, it soon came right at me.

When the mech saw that none of its attacks were working, it chose to use the most simple method to attack. It chose to dive at me with its large body to see if it could crush me under it.

The mech really had confidence in how strong its body was with how it decided to use this move.

Only when it did this, I just sent out the same swords as before.

The moment that the mech’s body made contact with the swords, it was ripped apart.

The mech didn’t stand a single chase against these swords that were refined from divine energy. The metal used for these swords were stronger than any other metal in this world.
