The protagonist's swords failed to kill the sleeping mass, which instead burst into flames and transformed into a phoenix. The phoenix, now pure flames and immune to physical attacks, charged at the protagonist. The protagonist, having anticipated this, led the phoenix into a trap made of divine energy ice, finally defeating it and collecting its loot.

In the end, there was nothing else that gave me the same problem as the phoenix and eventually I reached the end of this room.

In the next room, it was also what I had expected.

This room was a perfect example of a proper forest environment.

"So these three rooms are a representation of land, sea, and air."

After the first room, I had already expected this. Only I never thought that there would be another forest room after the one with dragons.

But then again, that room wasn’t really a proper representation of a forest room since it was filled with dragons and nothing else. It was better to say that room was a dragon room instead of an actual land room.

So this room was supposed to be the actual land room.

With the forest spread out in front of me, it wasn’t as if I could see much in this place.

So the only thing that I could do was continue forward and see what I would encounter.

I had to admit that this was just like any other forest that I’ve visited before. In fact, it was more peaceful than any forest that I’ve visited before since there would be signs of monsters there.

In this place, it didn’t seem like there were any traces of monsters at all.

"Did something drive them off?"

When it was like this, the only explanation was that there was something powerful that had driven off all of the other monsters that lived in this place. It meant that this area was the territory of a powerful monster that could scare off everything else.

It was the kind of monster that just didn’t get along with others, which was why it chased them all away.

However, it wasn’t as if this was bad news.

A monster that was able to chase off everything else like this would no doubt be an area boss in this dungeon.

This made it easier for me since I didn’t have to go around looking for another area boss.

At the same time, it would give me an idea of what kind of monsters could be found in this place.

But as I approached, I couldn’t help feeling a strange feeling.

That was because I was starting to find signs of the boss monster of this area and they reminded me of something. If it was what I was thinking of, it did make things a bit awkward for me.

I was hoping that it wasn’t exactly what I was thinking of.

"Awoo."

Hearing this sound, I was a bit relieved since the thing that I was thinking of didn’t have this kind of cry at all. There wasn’t the same kind of majesty that I was used to inside of this cry.

But it turned out that I was wrong.

"It’s an entire pack..."

The sound that I had heard previously was just the sound that came from the younger members of the pack. They hadn’t fully grown yet, so it was only normal that they wouldn’t have the same majesty as the adults did.

However, when the adults gave a cry...

"It’s the same." I shook my head as I said this with a sigh.

When the facts were laid out in front of me like this, it really was hard to keep denying them.

Following the younger ones that I found, I soon saw the cave that they all lived in.

"So it’s an entire colony of these Fenrirs." I said with another sigh.

Since I had a contract with a Fenrir, it really felt a bit strange for me to take down these Fenrirs.

But I just said to myself, "This is just how it is. They’re just monsters that were created by the dungeon. They aren’t related to her at all."

Even so, I didn’t make a move after convincing myself of this.

After all, it would be dangerous to charge into a group of Fenrirs like this.

Since they were a pack, they would be used to fighting in a pack. So charging in and getting myself surrounded certainly wouldn’t be a smart move.

It was a good thing that there was a group that was preparing to leave the cave.

From how they moved, it seemed like this was a group that was prepared to head out to hunt. But what I was paying attention to was the one that led this group.

Based on the aura that they gave, it was clear that this one was the leader of this pack and the leader of the hunting group. This was the strongest Fenrir out of the entire group, which meant that it was also most likely the area boss.

In that case, there was no need for me to mess with the cave that the Fenrirs lived in.

Instead, it was best for me to follow this group and see if there was an opportunity for me to take down this boss Fenrir.

At the same time, it would allow me to take a look at the different things that lived in this forest.

But it turned out that there wasn’t anything like that.

Instead, the dungeon had even simulated the environment to the point where there were animals here for the Fenrirs to hunt. It seemed like the dungeon went out of its way to take care of these Fenrirs.

Then again, the Fenrirs were here as an area boss of the dungeon, so it did make sense that the dungeon would take care of them.

The disappointing thing was that there weren’t any monsters that were here.

It seemed like the Fenrirs already knew where to go since this was their territory, so they didn’t need to leave the area that they had already marked to hunt for prey.

So in the end, I was just watching the Fenrirs from up in the trees.

As I watched them, there was an interesting idea that popped into my head.
