Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 2390: Hidden floor (12)
Previously on Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure...
"There’s more than usual?" I was a bit surprised by the loot that was dropped by the Roc.
After all, there was more than what would have dropped from a similar area boss.
Or at least none of the area bosses that I had encountered before had dropped this much.
But thinking about it, it didn’t seem like it was just because I was in a further room that the amount of drop increased. After all, this was double the loot and it wasn’t as if the Roc was that much stronger than the area bosses in the sea room.
So for it to drop double loot like this...
"Is it because I finished it off before it could go into its second phase?"
This kind of thing was common in games since it was harder to accomplish something like this. After all, no matter what boss it was, the second phase activation usually meant that the boss would heal up to a certain extent.
Not to mention that it was usually around half health that this second phase activated.
If they had a third phase, that activation criteria was even higher.
So to take it down in one blow meant using excessive attack power to take its HP in one go.
This level of attack power was by no means easy to reach.
After examining the drops that came from the Roc, I focused on the sensation that came from inside of me.
"Un, it’s the exact same as the bosses of the sea room."
Feeling this, it basically confirmed that the double drop was because of the fact that I had taken down the Roc before it was able to reach its second phase. After all, the Roc wasn’t stronger than the bosses of the previous room.
It turned out that there was this method of increasing the amount of loot that dropped.
It was just that I didn’t understand why there wasn’t a second phase for the bosses on the previous floor. It wasn’t as if they were weaker, so why didn’t they have a second phase?
Looking at the hole in the wall, I slowly came to a conclusion.
"Is it because of the environment? Is it because this environment makes it possible for a second phase?"
But in the end, it wasn’t as if any of this really mattered.
After all, I was still killing all of the monsters in one blow.
That was just how broken my stats and abilities were, so there wasn’t a need to think about all of this.
Especially since I didn’t care that much about the loot that dropped to begin with.
After taking care of this Roc, I went out of the hole in the wall to see if there was anything special about this hole. But it turned out exactly as I expected it to be.
This was a hole that led out of the side of the pillar and gave the space for the Roc to fly around.
The Roc was a legendary bird, so it needed the space to fly around to fight properly. In this enclosed space, it really didn’t have the space to fly around as it wanted and couldn’t use its full power.
Not that it really mattered since it still would have died at my hands.
Since there was nothing special about this place, there was no reason for me to stay here any longer.
After this experience, I had an idea of what to look for which was why I started heading deeper into this room.
Though I had no idea where I was going, I made sure to keep one waypoint for myself which was where the entrance of this room was.
But after a while, I did find another pillar that was sticking out of the ground.
Instead of landing on the pillar, I actually flew downwards and then started circling around the pillar.
As expected, there was another hole in the side of the pillar that led into the pillar itself. Behind that hole was another large room that was just like the one that I encountered before.
But this time, the monster that was waiting there wasn’t the same.
It was certainly a legendary monster when it came to fantasy worlds.
It was a monster that could even be considered among the best of flying monsters.
"A griffin, huh?"
A part of me was interested in fighting this griffin since it was something that was always considered a legendary boss in games that I played.
But in the end, I was disappointed to find that it wasn’t as strong as I thought it would be.
In fact, the griffin didn’t even get a chance to do anything.
Instead of giving it the chance to get up and fight, I prepared my attack from outside of the hole. It seemed like as long as I stayed outside, I didn’t attract the attention of the griffin itself.
This almost seemed like there was some kind of zone that the griffin was allowed to take action in. As long as one remained outside of the zone, it didn’t seem like the griffin was able to do anything.
"So there’s this loophole..."
In the end, I felt bad for the griffin since it was a legendary beast, but it wasn’t as if I felt bad enough that I refused to use the loophole.
The griffin even died in its sleep with how it was suddenly hit with all those swords.
It wasn’t just a griffin that I found, there was also this garuda and a thunder bird.
This place was a space that resembled the open sky, so there were all kinds of legendary birds that lived in this place as area bosses.
It was too bad that there was this loophole that I exploited to take down all of these bosses in the end.
That was until I met one that I couldn’t take down in a single blow and it actually fought back against me.
