"Alright, that’s enough bait for now."
I had been floating above the surface of the water, sending my swords down into the depths to take down certain monsters hiding under the water.
When they died, I had the swords pick up the loot that they dropped and brought them back up to me.
However, out of the loot that was brought back, there were only a few that I kept outside. The rest I tossed into the storage without even bothering to look at them.
These things were the bait that I was planning to use.
Taking the bait that was prepared, I skewered them onto the tip of the swords that were around me and sent them under the water. I scattered them in all directions without really caring about where they went.
After all, the only thing that they were responsible for was drawing in the prey that I wanted to find.
It didn’t take long for the first prey to bite the hook.
But it wasn’t what I was looking for.
The aura that the swords released were only enough to scare off monsters of a certain level and once they passed that level, they would take the bait even if the swords were letting off that aura.
It was just that this thing was too weak.
"Well, I guess I have more bait now."
With a single swish of my finger, there were other swords that had been waiting nearby that suddenly stabbed into this thing biting onto the sword. There was no resistance at all as that monster’s body disappeared and turned into loot.
Some of the swords brought the loot back while other swords put the flesh of that fish monster onto the sword as more bait.
Just like this, I was leisurely fishing in this ocean filled with monsters.
It didn’t seem like there was anything that was worth fishing that was going to bite.
That was until what I had been looking for finally bit the bait that I had laid out for them.
As soon as that monster bit the sword, I pulled it out with a flick of my finger.
"Woosh!"
There was a strong burst of water that came from the ocean, signifying that there was something big that was being pulled out.
The shell that came first made it seem like some kind of turtle was going to come out of the surface of the water. But soon the head that followed made it seem like it was something completely different.
"A whale? A turtle?" I thought to myself at first before remembering that there was a monster in the game that looked similar to this.
"If I remember correctly, the name of this thing should be..."
Aspidochelon.
It didn’t really matter what the name of this thing was, the only thing that mattered was how difficult it would be to penetrate that shell of this thing. After all, from what I could see, it did seem quite thick.
Still, I sent the swords that had been lingering in the air down at it.
It didn’t matter how thick its shell was, I still would have picked a fight with this thing since I was here to cause a commotion.
It was just that I was caught off guard the moment that the sword made contact with the shell.
"This is...too easy?"
What happened was that the sword just went right through the shell, almost like a hot knife cutting through butter. It didn’t seem like there was any resistance that came from the shell with how easily it went right through the shell.
In the end, the Aspidochelon turned into loot after the swords penetrated through that shell.
I just waved my hand and had the swords collect the loot without saying anything, but it really was hard to hide the trace of disappointment that was on my face.
After all, with how the Aspidochelon looked, it really felt like it was going to be a challenge.
In the end, it turned out that I was just too broken.
Still, I didn’t get to feel this way for long as there was something that came from the bottom of the sea. It was the reaction of something else that took the bait that I had scattered.
The problem was that this thing was just as weak as the Aspidochelon and it was taken out with a single attack.
I was certain that these were area bosses as well since I could feel the power increase that came from inside of me. So there was no doubt that these were bosses that gave me titles for soloing them.
But after all the build up, for them to die that easily...
With a sigh, I said, "Alright, this is just what it is. I already knew that I was here to cause trouble, so there’s no need to feel this way."
In the end, it didn’t seem like there was anything that was worth fighting in this place.
At the same time, I could feel that most of the powerful auras that were hiding under the sea had already been taken care of. So even if I kept fishing, it didn’t seem like I was going to find anything else worth taking down.
Which was why I started manipulating the space around me.
It was the best time to test out the other part of this power considering how big this place was.
Only there was one more surprise that came from under the sea.
As I was focusing on controlling the space, I could feel that there was something big coming from under me.
"A leviathan?"
That didn’t really matter as the swords moved without me even thinking about it.
In the end, even the leviathan wasn’t a match for me as they cut right through it and turned it into loot.
"Well, it’s time to leave this place."
As soon as my voice fell, I disappeared from where I had been floating.
