The protagonist observed a dungeon wolf cub grow into a powerful boss by absorbing mana. He then used an illusion barrier to prevent others from witnessing his upcoming fight. The wolf initiated combat with wind-based attacks, but the protagonist easily deflected them, revealing his superior strength. He then trapped the wolf in its own whirlwind, ultimately defeating it with metal shards, causing it to explode into loot, confirming the dungeon bosses function similarly to the game.

I didn’t bother looking at the loot that came from the wolf.

The only thing that I was waiting for was a sensation that should be coming over my body soon.

"Should it really be taking this long?" I couldn’t help asking when I didn’t feel anything.

There was even a part of me that was wondering if I had made a mistake.

But in the end, the sensation that I had been waiting for appeared as expected.

"So it really does work." A wide smile appeared on my face as relief filled me.

This sensation meant that my idea had worked.

Though from this sensation, I could tell that it wasn’t actually much of an increase.

But in the first place, this area boss wasn’t supposed to give much of an increase.

That was the way that the game kept its balance after all.

What I had been aiming for was a solo kill on this boss.

In the game that this world was based on, there was a special way of getting stronger that was only for the most elite players. After all, it certainly wasn’t easy to solo a boss, even if it was only an area boss.

Once a boss was solo killed like this, the player would receive a special title that would give them a multiplier to their stats.

It was something that was meant to reward the players that took this risk and had the ability to achieve such a thing.

The problem was that I was already so broken that it was easy for me to solo this boss.

Thinking of how long it had taken me in my past life to accomplish the same thing, I really couldn’t help feeling a bit emotional. After all, it was clear that I had long surpassed the power scale of the original game.

But then again, it wasn’t as if the original game had gods or such in them.

It was only natural that the scale would be broken once things like gods were involved.

This wolf was known as the Gale Wolf in the game and the Wolf Slayer title that it gave was something that increased all stats by 1.05x.

So this feeling was the feeling of all of my stats being increased by that much.

Though when it came to my base stats, it wasn’t as if I was that powerful to begin with.

The real change came from the amount of mana that I possessed since before becoming someone that relied on divine energy, it could be said that my specs made me a magician.

So it was a substantial change to the amount of mana that I was able to use.

But the real surprise came from something else.

"It actually increased..."

This was something that I had only hypothesized and had never confirmed, but the feeling now confirmed it.

Though technically, it shouldn’t have been possible since this was something that had existed outside of the power system of the game. It shouldn’t be possible that the enhancement from the title would affect it.

But here it was actually increasing the amount of divine energy that I possessed.

I pointed in front of me and started using the creation divine energy to form the basic elements. As I did this, the orb also floated out in front of me and absorbed all of the basic elements that I created.

It didn’t take long before I stopped, but that was because I had filled it up.

Before this, I had never managed to completely fill the basic elements inside of the orb in just a single go. So the fact that I was able to do this meant that it was a significant change in the amount of divine energy that I possessed.

"Where does it all come from?"

After all, I had already figured out that divine energy didn’t come from the person. It was something that came from the very foundational force of the world, so it wasn’t as if this divine energy just appeared out of nowhere.

Well, technically it does since it came from the world...

"It doesn’t really matter, all that matters is that this works." I thought to myself in the end.

There really was no point trying to figure out how this worked.

The only thing that mattered right now was that there were more bosses in this dungeon.

This dungeon was one that had fifteen floors in total and there were area bosses that were scattered throughout those fifteen floors.

In this world, I doubted that there was anyone that knew this dungeon as well as I did. With how many times I had run through this dungeon, I could even walk through it blindfolded.

"If I solo all of those bosses, I can’t even begin to imagine how much of an increase that will be to my stats. Not to mention the biggest prize, the final boss’ title." My eyes filled with excitement as I thought this.

After all, the title from that final boss was something that had a 2x multiplier.

It was something that only the most elite of elite players would be able to farm, but I didn’t feel like I would fail at this point. There was even a part of me that thought that it might be a bit too easy to take down this dungeon.

It was a pity that all of these titles could only be obtained once, so it was only a single time permanent boost to stats.

Though if it was something that could be obtained multiple times...

"That would just break the very balance of the game and they wouldn’t want something like that."

A part of me found it ironic since I had already become something that broke the very balance of the game with how easily I took down all of these bosses.

As I headed deeper into the dungeon, I couldn’t stop myself from feeling a bit of anticipation towards how much my stats would increase in the end.
