Normally sea cucumbers like this would only feed on algae and small aquatic lifeforms, but this one could directly feed on other fishes.

After all, this sea cucumber had tentacles that were big enough to grab fish that were the same size as it.

However, it wasn’t as if this sea cucumber was actually feeding on those fish.

The sea cucumber had been infected with the corruption energy, which meant that it was more focused on using those tentacles to spread that corruption energy. It was more focused on incubating the corruption energy inside of the prey that it caught.

I didn’t want to find out what would happen if I did get caught with those tentacles, though in reality it wasn’t as if they would be able to do anything to me.

As long as I had my divine energy, it would be hard for these tentacles formed from corruption energy to harm me. But that didn’t mean that I wanted to be grabbed by tentacles like this.

Especially since I didn’t like the way that they were moving.

Considering what genre of game this world was based on, it really felt wrong seeing those tentacles move at me the way that they were moving.

So in the end, I activated my divine energy right away.

Normally I would have held back and waited to see what else this sea cucumber would have to offer, but I just couldn’t hold back this time out of disgust.

With the divine energy released, the tentacles didn’t stand a chance as they were wiped out. At the same time, it seemed like the sea cucumber realized that it was in danger and it looked like it was about to run.

That was just how disgusted I was with this sea cucumber.

Other than that, I made sure to cleanse the area since it seemed like the sea cucumber had been hiding the corpses of the fish that it hunted in the ground. It buried them in the ground as if it was incubating the corruption energy inside of them.

Since it was all corruption energy, it wasn’t as if this could be left behind or else it would be dangerous.

So the only thing that could be done was to wipe it all out with divine energy.

Only with overbearing divine energy could this be solved.

But after the divine energy swept through this place, I could see that it was the same thing as the other lands. This area had completely lost all of its vitality because of corruption energy that filled this place.

"It’s better than above the ground since more sediment will be brought here by the water. It’ll take some time, but this place should recover on its own."

As I thought this, I couldn’t help thinking of what my father in law said in the past.

They had eliminated the corruption energy with the help of Aquaron’s relic.

It seemed like there was a similar case where the land restored itself with the water bringing in life from the area around it. It seemed like the situation under the water really was better than the situation above the water.

After this thought, I continued attacking the different bottom feeders that were filled with corruption energy.

There was no need to leave any of them here since I had already destroyed the corruption energy pillar.

In fact, leaving them here meant leaving behind hidden danger since there was no telling if there would be another corruption energy pillar raised or not. It was better not to leave any roots behind that they could use.

But seeing how many there were, it really seemed like they had already been preparing for a long time.

"I’ll still tell them to send some people to check this place out. It’s best if they clear out anything that I missed." I thought to myself as I observed this area.

Once it was done, I turned and headed back to the capital of the Merman Kingdom.

There was no longer a need for me to keep acting like a fish like this since I had already learned all I could from this. All that was left now was to head to the next location that I had chosen.

Though before that, there were a few things that I had to tell the racial alliance to take care of. But in this case, it would mainly be the Merman Kingdom that would take care of this since these matters were under the water.
