Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 2356: Bottom feeders (1)

After clearing out the corruption energy pillar, I went around the area searching for creatures affected with corruption energy.

It seemed that even though the corruption energy pillar had been destroyed, there were still those that came back to report in.

Once they arrived, they were hit with my divine energy and destroyed.

But it wasn’t as if I could just wait here and keep destroying these things affected with the corruption energy.

Which was why I decided to leave for now and come back later.

Since I was here, there was still one thing that I wanted to check before heading back to report the matter of the corruption energy pillar.

I still wanted to check the floor of this part of the ocean.

It could be said that there were a lot of creatures that lived there because of the plants that existed there. There were many species of fish that fed on algae and plants that grew there, which was why they didn’t live that far away from it.

Many of the creatures that lived near this part of the ocean were bottom feeders, which meant that they mostly fed on the minerals found on the floor.

It was quite interesting seeing the techniques that these bottom feeders used to find food for themselves.

But the most interesting thing was seeing how most of these creatures shaped themselves.

Compared to the other fish, the bottom feeders really had the most unique shapes. After all, it was a place where there were all kinds of feeding methods.

There were those that scrubbed the bottom for nutrients.

There were those that lured in their prey with lights.

There were those that waited for prey to come to them and then trapped them inside their feeding holes.

But since there were so many different methods, they had to develop different appendages to coordinate with all those different feeding methods.

Which created a wide variety of shapes for their bodies.

There was a part of me that wondered if I could even use some of these things.

After all, I had the ability to transform with the potion that I created with my creation divine energy. If I were to incorporate these parts into that transformation, there was no telling what I would be able to do.

But I had no choice but to give up on this idea in the end.

"It just takes too much creation divine energy for me to do this."

It already took a considerable amount of creation divine to create this potion to begin with, so it was only natural that it would take even more if I wanted to configure the transformation more.

Even with the newly acquired methods of reducing the amount of creation divine energy required, it still was far from being enough.

So in the end, I had no choice but to give up on this idea.

Though it wasn’t as if I gave up completely.

"In the future, I should be able to do it when I have more creation divine energy, learn more about how to create the potion, or find another method to reduce the amount of creation divine energy needed."

Not to mention, I couldn’t help thinking about what would happen if I were to use some of these appendages during my alone time with my wives.

"Tentacle play...is a thing."

But other than this, I really didn’t learn much else from the creatures that lived here.

After all, I had already learned most of what I could learn from the other creatures that lived in the ocean.

These bottom feeders lived in a very similar environment, so there really wasn’t anything else that could be learned from them.

However, it wasn’t as if I just came here to observe them.

The other thing that I had come here for was to eliminate a few bad seeds.

While I had been observing the corruption energy pillar, I had already seen that there were some bottom feeders that had been corrupted as well.

After destroying the corruption energy pillar, it didn’t mean that everything was over yet.

I still had to destroy the bottom feeders that were affected by the corruption energy.

The problem was that this wasn’t easy to do.

The bottom feeders that had been affected by the corruption energy would normally hide themselves.

It was all because of the way that they fed and even the corruption energy couldn’t change that.

The predators that were affected by the corruption energy would attack whatever they could find. However, these bottom feeders would wait until they had the right opportunity to attack before striking.

Other than that, I could tell that there were traces of corruption energy that were scattered around in the sand of the ocean floor.

Unlike the large predators that swam around in open water, these bottom feeders claimed areas as their own. That allowed them to not only catch prey, but also to spread the corruption energy around them to form something that was similar to a domain.

When I found something like this, I had to not only take care of the thing that was affected by the corruption energy, but also purify the area around it that had also been affected by the corruption energy.

In the end, it really was quite the bit of work to deal with this unlike the predators.

But it wasn’t as if I could just leave them be.

Not to mention that it certainly was a different battle facing these bottom feeders compared to facing the large predators.

Since they had their territories, it really meant that they could do what they wanted in those territories.

Seeing tentacles coming at me from out of the ground really was a strange sight...

The first thing that I faced was actually this sea cucumber that had the strangest tentacles out there.

They were far larger than any tentacles that a sea cucumber should have.

Which was why it was actually able to feed on fishes that swam near it.
