Shota is currently in the ocean, transformed into a fish. He's using divine energy to maintain this form and navigate the dangers of the sea, observing the raw cycle of nature. After a failed attempt to catch a faster fish without using his powers, he learns to exploit the predatory instincts of other fish to his advantage.

After learning the technique to hunt, it wasn’t as if I was lacking in food.

Once that small need was met, I started focusing more on observing the life of the underwater residents.

However, it didn’t seem like there was anything new that I really had to learn about them.

From what I could see, it seemed like they were all living normal lives.

In the wild, once basic needs were met, the one thing that living beings could care about was having children. After all, there was that basic instinct that came from being alive that made one want to pass down their progeny.

So what I was doing was watching the fish procreate with each other.

Though it wasn’t as if fish procreated the same way as humans did.

Fish had their own way of recreation and it wasn’t as if it was embarrassing for me to watch them like this, but it certainly was a new experience. After all, their way of laying eggs and then fertilizing them was something that humans would never do.

Not to mention that I had heard in my past life that when it came to these eggs, most of them wouldn’t even be able to survive to see the world.

It was just how dangerous it was when nature was involved.

At the same time, I could see that some of these fish didn’t even bother protecting their eggs. They just left their eggs to survive on their own, letting them find their own destiny.

Seeing the way that fish procreated, it really was a wonder that they hadn’t gone extinct in the first place.

But then again, perhaps that was the reason why they laid so many eggs in the first place.

Female fish would lay millions upon millions of eggs and it was less than 1% of those eggs that would actually become new fish. But even so, 1% of that was already ten thousand new fish.

So it was more about surviving with quality rather than quantity.

"Adaptability and survival."

It made me think of my past life where there was a theory of survival of the fittest.

But in this case, it was more that they adapted to the environment that they had been born in and adapted to the dangers that were here.

"So if things are allowed to run, they will naturally flow into a method that will be correct. Out of all the possibilities that I can create with the creation divine energy, it will eventually flow into the possibility that is the best."

Then I suddenly realized something, "If I were to control it and help eliminate the wrong options, then wouldn’t that save me quite a bit of effort?" But then I suddenly revealed a bitter smile as I said to myself, "But how do I do that?"

As I was thinking this, I kept watching over the fish in front of me until...

"Instinct."

This was a thought that suddenly hit me as I was watching these fish.

It wasn’t as if the fish were actually thinking about these things, it wasn’t as if they were learning it from watching others. This was just something that they did out of instinct, so it actually saved them quite a bit of effort.

If that was the case, didn’t that mean that I could do the same with the creation divine energy?

This creation divine energy was something that belonged to me in the first place, so it wasn’t as if it was out of my control.

Instead of thinking too much about how to use it, perhaps it was better to just use instinct alone to guide it.

"But how do I use instinct to control this?"

Instinct was something that came naturally, so it wasn’t as if this was something that could be forced. At the same time, it wasn’t as if just thinking about using instinct would have any effect.

"I’m just going around in circles at this point." I thought to myself with a sigh.

After all, it wasn’t as if thinking about this was something that was going to make it any easier. In fact, it might be making things worse by trying to force this thing out.

Instead, it was better to just give it a try without thinking too much about it.

Since it was already getting close to the time where the potion ran out, I might as well test it with that.

Taking in a breath of water, I closed my mouth and focused on sending in the creation divine energy.

As I did so, I could tell that it was different from before.

"It’s smoother? It doesn’t feel like there are as many roadblocks as there were previously..."

As I felt this sensation, I really didn’t know what to think.

After all, it wasn’t as if I had done anything special in this case. Yet it seemed like this had somehow just worked out in the end.

It almost felt like everything had fit into place too easily with how it took no effort at all to figure this out.

"Perhaps it’s just the awareness of it that changes everything. It’s not something that can be forced, but being aware of this change means that it’ll be done naturally?"

To be honest, I really had no idea what it was that had caused the change.

But at the very least, it was a good thing since it meant that I would be using less creation divine energy in the future.

As I was just in this daze, I didn’t realize that there was something that was approaching me.

When it came over, I was even more caught off guard since I didn’t expect this kind of thing to approach me.

"But I’m not really a fish...how could I fertilize these eggs?"

Though the main problem was that if any of my wives were to find out about this, there was no doubt that I was dead.

So I just swam off without a single word.
