Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 2349: Do you know who wins?

It was clear that he was referring to me since he was desperately pointing with his body as he was shouting.
If he could move his hands, then he would have pointed with every finger that he had.
But since he couldn’t, the only thing that he could do was use his body to gesture even though it was clearly painful for him. The way that he moved even made him spit out some blood since the poison was being spread out through his body by those movements.
Everyone just calmly turned to look at me when this young boss made his accusations, but no one really seemed to have any reaction to this.
That was until they all suddenly burst into laughter.
I had to admit that I was caught off guard by them, but then I couldn’t stop a bitter feeling from filling me when I heard what they had to say about this.
"How could he possibly be corrupt?"
"He was the one that led us here."
"Not to mention that he did quite a bit to help with the raid."
That wasn’t the part that filled me with that bitter feeling, though it did catch me off guard to hear them defending me like this.
The part that caused that bitter feeling to fill me was...
"With his divination, don’t you think that he would have predicted all of this? Why would he still be a corrupt cop?"
Seeing everyone nodding in agreement like this, I really didn’t know how to feel.
That divination was nothing more than an excuse that the royal guard leader had come up with to explain the strange movements that I made. However, now all of these elite soldiers seemed to have completely fallen for this lie.
The way that they nodded showed that they fully trusted what I said.
"What are you people saying? I saw it with my own eyes!" The young boss didn’t seem to give up as he continued making his accusations. It seemed like he was going to go down with this with how committed he was.
"Pa!"
The young boss couldn’t believe what happened when he was slapped across the face.
I also couldn’t believe what happened since I didn’t expect someone to suddenly slap him like this.
The one that actually slapped the young boss was the soldier that had been going forward to knock on the door. He was the one that I had saved from getting caught up in that explosion.
It seemed like he was quite grateful for this with how he completely shut the young boss down.
Whenever the young boss wanted to say something, he would just slap that young boss across the face again. Even though technically what he was doing was considered police brutality.
But it seemed like everyone had come to a consensus.
When the young boss was slapped, they all turned away as if they didn’t see anything.
It reached a point where an aggrieved look appeared on the young boss’ face and he looked like he was about to cry. But at the very least, it seemed like he had learned his lesson as he stopped trying to accuse me.
Once that stopped, the soldier that had been slapping him looked at me with a smile and a thumbs up.
I couldn’t help shaking my head with a helpless smile seeing this.
Once this was over, they took the young boss and his followers away and they didn’t waste any time in doing so. After all, the young boss and his followers were still poisoned and they had to take care of that.
Since they had captured these people, that was the least that they could do.
But no one really seemed to care about the young boss or his followers.
Instead, they all suddenly gathered around me and started slapping me on the back. All of these soldiers were treating me as one of their own with the way that they acted.
Of course, I knew that this was because I had used my powers to save the lives of their comrades.
Those that went through combat together really did form bonds with each other that were hard to break.
But it turned out that this wasn’t the only reason that they surrounded me like this.
After a while, they started changing the topic to something that I didn’t expect them to.
"That divination technique really is something else."
"Are there other things that you can divine with that divination technique?"
"For example, do you know who would win in next week’s horse races?"
I didn’t expect elite soldiers to be asking about something like this, but it was clear that they were being serious about this. They tried to play it off as something that they were asking casually, but it was hard to hide the look that was in their eyes.
However, I also knew that this wasn’t actually them asking about this.
It was more that they respected the divination technique that they thought I had, so they wanted to learn a bit more about it. There were even some of them that seemed like they were hoping that they could learn a bit of this divination technique.
I never thought that a simple lie would come this far...
But it wasn’t as if there really was a divination technique.
Everything that I had done was with the power of the divine energy, so it wasn’t as if this was something that could be taught to others. Though in the first place, the divine energy was already on a higher level compared to any kind of divination power.
So in the end, the only thing that I could do was awkwardly say that they were just a few tricks.
"No, you saved my life with your divination. How could it be just a few tricks?"
I honestly never thought that I would get this kind of diehard fan from saving his life like this...
