As elites of the Tide Brotherhood, they naturally knew how to adapt to situations that weren’t advantageous for them.

The moment that they saw that the tides were turning against them, they immediately singled out the person that was causing this.

Which meant that they were aiming for me.

Not that I was worried about them targeting me like this since it wasn’t as if they would actually be able to do anything to me.

All it took was a single wave of my hand to push back all of the members of the Tide Brotherhood that came at me. It didn’t matter how they tried to push forward, they were all stopped by the waves of water that came at them.

From the looks on their faces, it was as if they couldn’t believe that the water was pushing them like this.

After all, they were mermaids to begin with.

In the water, they were supposed to be unstoppable.

But it wasn’t as if they couldn’t figure out that I was using some kind of magic to manipulate the water around them like this.

Even though they were being pushed like this, it didn’t seem like the Tide Brotherhood members were planning to back down.

They were elites of the organization and had faced things that were much worse than this, which was why they were planning to do all that they could to fight back.

The problem was that there really wasn’t anything that they could do against the waves that I created.

"Is he some kind of special investigator that was sent to watch over us?"

That was the thought that passed through the minds of each police officer.

After all, someone with this kind of skill definitely wouldn’t be assigned to a place like this.

I knitted my brows the moment that I heard this and turned to see that one of the Tide Brotherhood members had picked up one of the packages. The way that he was holding it, it seemed like he was about to spread it out in the water around him.

The way that he was doing this was as if he was planning on taking everyone down with him.

After all, if the drugs spread throughout the water like this, there was no doubt that everyone would have been affected. Once they were all affected by the drugs, there was no telling what would happen.

But the effects of the drugs would certainly be enough to debilitate enough of them that they would be able to escape. Especially since they would have more resistance to the drugs as members of the Tide Brotherhood that dealt the drugs.

Though it wasn’t as if I could just allow them to spread it.

This time, I didn’t hold back at all as I stabbed that person right in the chest. At the same time, I released a water bubble that caught the bag of drugs that he had been holding.

Since I was a police officer, I had tried to deal with this as peacefully as possible.

But if they were going this far, there really wasn’t anything that I could do about it.

But because there was this whirlpool, it seemed like the drug wasn’t able to spread either. The whirlpool’s spinning kept the drug inside of the water that the whirlpool was made of.

It was the power of centrifugal force that kept it from escaping.

However, this wasn’t the way to go since we still had to capture these members of the Tide Brotherhood. It wasn’t as if we could just leave them as they were since it took quite a bit of energy for me to keep the whirlpool up like this.

So as the whirlpool spun, it seemed like there was something that was gathering.

The drug that had been dissolved into the water was a white powder and as the whirlpool spun, it was as if there was this white powder that was being removed from it.
