The Tide Brotherhood attacked, but the protagonist, using powerful water magic, easily repelled them. The police, stunned by the magic, joined the fray. When one of the Brotherhood attempted to spread drugs to cover their escape, the protagonist killed him and created a whirlpool to contain the drugs, trapping the remaining attackers while a purification process began.

Once all of the white powder had been condensed, it was pulled out of the whirlpool in a small ball of water.

After the water stopped spinning, the white powder started dissolving into the ball of water that surrounded it. However, it seemed like this was much more concentrated than how it was dissolved previously.

It was all because there was less water compared to the amount of white powder.

It became something that seemed to be a white slurry rather than completely dissolving into the water.

As for the whirlpool, it still contained the members of the Tide Brotherhood. It was just that looking at them, they really didn’t seem to be in good shape at all.

After all, they had been trapped in the whirlpool that had the drug dissolved in it for so long. There was no doubt that they had absorbed some of the drugs that had been in the water.

It really seemed like their eyes just weren’t focused at all.

Though part of it was also because they had been spun around in that whirlpool for so long.

The power of the whirlpool wasn’t anything to look down on, especially since it had enough centrifugal power to pull the white powder out of the water. Though that alone wouldn’t have been enough.

It was all because I used a bit of creation divine energy as well that helped separate the drug from the water.

"What are you guys waiting for? Are you just going to wait until they recover?"

The other police officers that had been standing around in a daze came back to their senses when they heard this. They looked at me with strange looks before walking towards the members of the Tide Brotherhood lying on the ground.

In the end, there was no struggle at all that came from them as they were all handcuffed.

Even if they wanted to resist, there really wasn’t anything that they could do to resist.

After they were all restrained, the police officers just looked at each other as if they didn’t know what they should be doing next. They had been completely caught off guard by this unexpected situation that they had forgotten their training.

Seeing this, I said with a sigh, "Secure the evidence."

Hearing this, the police officers realized that they had completely forgotten about the drugs that had been there. Even though they had seen the Tide Brotherhood members dissolving the drugs into the water, they forgot about the rest of it.

Of course their instincts kicked in once they knew what they were doing.

These were trained police officers, especially if they had been chosen for the raid.

I was the one that shouldn’t have belonged here as a rookie, but I had been brought along because I was the one that had solved that case related to the Tide Brotherhood.

So it didn’t take them long to gather up and pack all of the evidence.

Though the way that they did this was almost as if they were treating me as the boss. They kept looking at me as if they were asking me what they should do with these things.

In the end, I just said, "Boss, you should take charge here."

The one that I was referring to was the lead detective who was technically my boss.

At the same time, he was technically the one that was in charge of this raid.

He had been staring at me with a strange look the entire time that also had a trace of fear in it.

It was clear that he had misunderstood something with the way that he looked at me, but it wasn’t as if this was the time to clear up this misunderstanding.

As well, it seemed like this misunderstanding was useful in taking care of things here.

But if it was going to affect his work, then I did have to give him a gentle reminder.

However, I could see that it did affect him a decent amount with how he jolted after I gave this reminder.

It didn’t take long before the lead detective took charge again and started giving orders to the officers. All of them worked with efficiency once they received these orders since it was instinct for them at this point.

It didn’t take long before everything was organized and we were taking the criminals away.

But I could still tell that everyone was looking at me with a strange look as they passed by me. There wasn’t a single person that treated me the same way that they treated me before.

Once everything was settled, even the lead detective came over and said, "I think that we got off on the wrong foot. I hope that you won’t mind how I treated you before."

Hearing this, it wasn’t hard to guess what he was thinking.

"He must be some kind of secret inspector from the higher up to watch over us."

I would have thought the same thing if I was in their position, but I really wasn’t anything like that. It was the reason why I had been hesitating to use my powers in the first place.

If it wasn’t for the fact that we had accidentally bumped into these members of the Tide Brotherhood, I really wouldn’t have revealed myself like this.

"I’m not what you think I am." I tried explaining, but it was clear that the lead detective wasn’t going to listen. None of the other officers seemed to believe me either when I said this.

So in the end, I just had to bear this crown as I said, "I won’t do anything to you."

Though it looked like they were a bit relieved to hear this, I knew that it was impossible for them to feel completely relieved.

Which was why I added, "Nothing will happen as long as you do your jobs properly."

The lead detective immediately gave a nod before heading off.

It seemed like there really was a big misunderstanding here.
