Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 2191: Together again

With everything concluded, a sole task remained for me to accomplish.
"You have returned."
"Indeed, I am back."
Rose made to rise from her bed as I entered, but I swiftly moved to her side, gently urging her to remain seated.
"I am already well."
In reality, she had recovered considerably due to the exceptional healing magic employed by the finest practitioners I could find. Nonetheless, a lingering sense of unease compelled me to insist she stay in bed.
"You have endured a great ordeal; the least you can do is rest a while longer in this manner."
Rose appeared less than thrilled by my command, yet she offered no protest. After all, my insistence was absolute, and I was, fundamentally, still her husband.
At the very least, I had managed to secure her compliance for the moment.
Still, the way she concealed items behind her pillow betrayed her secret endeavors during my absence. Identifying the source of these gifts was hardly a challenge, but the sheer number of contributors made pinpointing each one a futile effort.
It was undeniable that Rose wielded significant influence within the Kite Kingdom, rivaling that of the prime minister and the chancellor.
In certain respects, it could even be asserted that she was the true power behind the throne.
"That's right, Mother, you must rest. You were quite injured, so you need to recuperate fully."
It was Dorothy who approached, bearing a tray laden with a meal for Rose.
Despite her modest stature, she managed to carry the rather sizable tray, seemingly having gathered Rose's favorite dishes to aid in her recovery.
Rose shook her head at the sight, but she accepted the tray nonetheless and allowed Dorothy to begin feeding her.
Following that harrowing event, their bond seemed to have deepened considerably. It appeared that Rose's act of self-sacrifice for Dorothy had dissolved a long-standing barrier between them.
That had been the final hurdle for Dorothy to overcome.
Her demeanor now mirrored that of a genuinely devoted and filial daughter.
Previously, even after opening her heart, a subtle hesitation lingered in her actions, as if she feared making a misstep and facing rejection.
However, having witnessed Rose's willingness to risk her life for her, Dorothy felt she had no reason to hold back any longer.
Yet, even as Dorothy embraced her role as a daughter, it remained a husband's duty to attend to his recuperating wife.
Consequently, without a moment's hesitation, I stepped forward, taking the bowl and spoon from Dorothy's grasp. With the utensils in hand, I moved to Rose's side and commenced feeding her, just as Dorothy had been doing.
"That's not fair, Dad!" Dorothy pouted, her cheeks puffed out, but I paid her no mind, continuing my task of feeding Rose.
A gentle smile graced Rose's lips as she accepted the food I offered.
It seemed my place in her heart remained unassailable, a space our daughter could not entirely claim.
Around this time, others entered the room, their expressions initially brightened by the heartwarming scene. Upon entering, however, they too did not hesitate to join us, for they were, after all, integral members of this family.
They gathered around me, pressing close as if seeking a renewed connection after our prolonged separation.
Including the time it took for my return, it had indeed been a significant period since I had last seen them. Thus, my wives clung to me, seeking some form of vital energy or comfort from my presence.
I could only allow their embraces as I continued to feed Rose.
After a short while, however, their numbers became overwhelming.
Seizing the opportunity, Dorothy regained possession of the bowl and spoon, resuming her feeding duties while I found myself enveloped by the throng. Yet, I could do little to extricate myself, as they were, too, my beloved wives.
Indeed, I observed a subtle complicity between them and Dorothy, evident in the exchanged glances.
"I have missed all of you dearly."
That was all I could utter as they held me close.
They offered no words, their actions speaking volumes of their affections.
Their delay in seeking me out was solely due to their pressing responsibilities. Each of them held prominent positions within the Kite Kingdom and managed numerous vital affairs.
Once they had their fill and I could finally move more freely, I took a moment to truly observe each of them.
Despite their safety within the capital city throughout the ordeal, I could discern the strain the unsettling events had inflicted upon them. The uncertainty of my disappearance, or even the belief that I was deceased, had undoubtedly taken a heavy toll.
Their current relief stemmed from my reappearance.
However, a complete relaxation of their guard was not yet possible.
My primary concerns were Moon, Ariel, Aisha, and Isra, as they were all expecting and nearing their due dates. Having conceived around the same period, I feared the recent turmoil might trigger premature births or miscarriages. Fortunately, it appeared they managed to endure, possibly for the sake of their unborn children. After we found a moment of calm, I needed to bring something up with them. "I've dealt with those who sought to harm Dorothy."
