Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 2101: Feather

With Lupus serving as my personal endorsement, there was no longer any necessity to reveal the Mark of God, as I typically would.
Supported by the backing of the ancestor herself, the wind elementals harbored no apprehension toward me whatsoever.
Events unfolded with such remarkable ease that I found myself feeling somewhat bewildered, a stark contrast to my previous encounters with other elementals.
It felt as though a powerful tide was simply carrying me along.
Nevertheless, if this path led to our objective more rapidly, I had no reason to complain.
Not that we possessed any concrete knowledge of our destination, of course.
The wind elementals guided us through, allowing us to survey more of the landscape, though observing more of this territory revealed nothing, given how completely barren it was.
As the wind elementals elucidated, the reality mirrored my initial suspicions.
Their existence required nothing more than a steady, unobstructed current of air, so they saw no purpose in constructing dwellings.
In reality, they intentionally maintained this void to ensure nothing impeded the natural flow of wind. It remained quite curious that such strong gusts could persist in an environment so utterly empty.
The only rational explanation was that divine influence governed the phenomenon.
While I harbored concerns about finding our path back through such a desolate wasteland, the elementals provided their assurance that navigation would not be an issue.
After all, the original location was the only point where the terrain shifted and the wind currents were broken, making it an easy landmark to relocate.
Lupus offered a slight nod, confirming this as if she had been privy to my very thoughts.
With their reassurance, we ventured deeper into the empty expanse behind our guides.
Before long, we reached the destination they intended to reveal.
Though invisible from a distance, it gradually came into focus.
It was difficult to overlook, standing rigidly upright from the earth as the sole object in the vicinity, yet its appearance was far from what we had hypothesized.
"Is that… a feather?"
As we neared the object, everyone offered a nod in agreement.
A solitary white feather protruded from the dirt, appearing profoundly out of place within such a desolate setting. It existed in total isolation, bearing no apparent connection to its surroundings.
"It is forged from divine energy, so this must be the source."
Convinced, I stepped forward to lay my hand upon the plumage.
The moment my skin made contact, a familiar sensation washed over me as the feather began siphoning my divine energy.
I offered no resistance, allowing it to draw whatever it required.
After a short duration, I observed the feather beginning to expand in size.
Everything followed the expected pattern, leaving us nothing to be surprised about. The remaining task was to ensure it absorbed enough divine energy to effectively sustain this domain.
That, however, would be a time-consuming process.
Realizing my role had become that of a conduit, the others correctly gathered there was little they could contribute, so they departed to scout for a place to rest.
The complication, of course, was that there was absolutely nothing here.
Even had they wished to establish a camp using our limited supplies, the presence of the wind elementals made it impossible.
Any structures they erected would inevitably hinder the airflow the elementals relied upon.
Consequently, they had no choice but to linger nearby and await my progress.
Though it lasted quite a while, I eventually concluded the infusion of divine energy.
The feather had already doubled in size, yet it was still far from its full capacity.
I could perceive through our growing connection that it remained drastically underpowered.
It would require significantly more input before it could be considered fully saturated.
This was hardly unexpected; items crafted from creation divine energy were notoriously slow to charge, so this delay was merely par for the course.
Thus, the steady injection of energy would have to continue.
I could not help but ponder just how colossal this feather might become if it continued to grow at this rate.
Once finished, I needed to secure a location for our base camp.
Remaining at this exact spot was inadvisable, as our tents would surely annoy the wind elementals, yet we could not stray too far into the regions choked with hazardous gas.
As I pondered these logistics, Lupus posed a sudden question: "Old friend, is that item I entrusted to your care still in your possession?"
The wind elemental ancestor seemed taken aback by the abrupt inquiry, but soon replied with a deferential nod: "Indeed. Since you saw fit to entrust it to me, I have guarded it carefully."
"In that case, I wish to reclaim it now."
