With the ancestor of the wind elementals vouching for his identity, the protagonist and his group navigate the barren realm of the wind elementals without conflict. The journey leads them to a strange, oversized white feather embedded in the ground, which draws its power directly from divine energy. As the protagonist begins channeling his energy into the object to restore it, tensions rise regarding their inability to set up camp without disrupting the environment, prompting an unexpected request from Lupus regarding an item previously entrusted to the elemental ancestor.

Without uttering a single word, the ancestor of the wind elementals pivoted and began to walk away.

Lupus remained silent as well, though she cast a brief nod toward me, clearly signaling that I should trail after them.

Confused by the gesture, I nevertheless felt my curiosity piqued by the nature of their discussion.

Ultimately, I chose to follow in their footsteps.

It turned out that this region was far from the desolate wasteland I had initially imagined.

Even though the terrain above appeared vast and empty, it did not necessarily imply that the ground beneath was vacant.

The wind elementals, it seemed, had been concealing secrets deep within the earth.

With a singular motion of its hand, the ancestor manifested a blade of energy, carving a deep furrow into the soil to uncover what lay hidden below. As the object was unearthed, a surge of divine energy exploded into the surrounding atmosphere.

I had already surmised that this must be some sort of relic, given the fact that Lupus had entrusted it to the wind elementals.

However, the sheer power radiating from it far surpassed my wildest expectations.

The concentration of divine energy flowing from the item was immense, serving as a testament to its formidable strength as a relic.

It struck me as odd that Lupus would have chosen to seal away such a powerful artifact.

Yet, the reason soon became clear when I laid eyes upon the relic's peculiar design. It was a saddle, dimensioned perfectly to be worn across the back of Lupus.

Upon closer inspection, I could sense the distinct signature of wind-attributed divine energy emanating from it.

There was no room for doubt; this relic had been expertly crafted to be equipped specifically for her. It was a specialized tool designed to be paired with Lupus.

Nevertheless, such a relic would grant its rider absolute control over her.

I began to grasp why she had taken the measures to seal it away in the first place.

Yet, this only deepened my intrigue regarding why she deemed it necessary to release it now.

Once the item was exposed, the wind elemental ancestor raised it from the ground with another flick of its hand. It hovered, suspended by a powerful gust of wind that churned beneath it.

With another graceful wave, the ancestor propelled the relic toward Lupus.

However, Lupus did not accept it. She simply shook her head and turned her gaze toward me.

The ancestor appeared momentarily startled by her behavior, though it quickly seemed to interpret her clear intent.

Consequently, the wind elemental ancestor gestured once more, and the saddle drifted through the air until it hung directly before me, as though awaiting my hand.

But accepting such a burden was not a matter I could take lightly.

"It belongs to you, as you are my current master. In the days to come, we shall require this to confront the forces of Destruction," Lupus stated in a level tone.

I wasn't sure how to respond to such a proposal, but I eventually countered, "I cannot accept this. It carries too much weight; surely you should find another to bear it."

"These are the commands issued by my god, and I obey them," Lupus replied with unwavering firmness.

That statement made me knit my brows in thought, as it had been quite a while since I had received any guidance from Zephyrus. Yet now, unexpectedly, it was instructing Lupus to serve as my mount.

Though she had displayed such submissiveness before, the introduction of this saddle fundamentally altered the nature of our dynamic.

With this piece of equipment, the relationship between us would shift into something entirely different...

"This will be a necessity when we face the forces of Destruction in the future. We must learn to synchronize our powers effectively to stand against them together," Lupus emphasized with even greater determination.

Judging by her demeanor, it was evident she would not relent until I accepted the saddle.

Her insistence only made me feel more hesitant to take it.

Yet, it was equally clear that if I refused, she would not allow me to leave. There was even a sense that she was prepared to use force to ensure I took possession of it.

I could not fathom what made this so urgent, but it was difficult to oppose Lupus when she was in such a state.

While I possessed the strength to stop her, I had no desire to compromise our bond.

In the end, I could only ask, "Do you truly wish for this? If we proceed, there is no turning back from this path."

Lupus did not grace me with a verbal answer; she merely offered a resolute nod.

Witnessing this, I had no other choice but to accept the saddle.

Whether I would ever actually utilize it, however, remained a separate issue entirely.

Even having taken it, I felt little inclination to employ it, as I did not believe it was necessary for most circumstances. I intended to reserve it as a desperate measure for dealing with the Apostles of Destruction.

Specifically, the Four Omens.

The power wielded by the final two was of an entirely different caliber, and despite my own growth, I lacked confidence in facing them directly.

It would be acceptable to use this saddle should I ever need to engage them.

Yet, it appeared Lupus did not share my way of thinking.

"We must test this out."
