Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure Chapter 1970: Special relic

Observing the expression on my face, the god’s messenger began to explain. "I believe you humans refer to this entire region as Death Valley. In reality, this location is a unique habitat my lord constructed specifically for me."
Despite the attempt at clarification, it didn't feel much like an explanation at all.
To my ears, the words seemed completely nonsensical.
After a brief silence, the god’s messenger continued, "I am certain you are familiar with the concept of relics. This entire valley is nothing more than a relic itself."
My expression shifted slowly upon hearing this, yet my confusion remained as deep as ever.
Ultimately, the god’s messenger took the time to elaborate on everything.
It turned out that all of Death Valley, including every distinct biome within it, had been meticulously designed with a purpose. This entire territory was built as a home for the god’s messenger, with the various environments serving as incubation chambers for different species of insects.
"Does that mean you've known we were here from the very moment we stepped into this place?" I couldn't resist asking once the explanation concluded.
The god’s messenger remained silent. Although their face was hidden from me, it wasn't difficult to interpret the meaning behind the way they looked at me.
Given that explanation, it was easy to imagine just how many bugs were currently lurking throughout Death Valley...
However, I had no desire to dwell on the sheer number of insects surrounding me at this very moment.
Redirecting the conversation, I asked, "Then where must I go to claim ownership of this relic?"
"It is quite simple. Just descend to the core of this place and you will find it. Since you are the Holy Son, securing the relic should be an easy task for you," the god’s messenger stated with absolute confidence.
I, however, found it impossible to share the messenger's level of certainty.
"Will you be escorting us?"
"Regrettably, I am unable to move at this time as I am still within my incubation period. I will, however, dispatch my elite guards to guide you down there." Immediately after the god’s messenger spoke, several guards who had been standing off to the side stepped forward.
These insects were significantly larger than any we had encountered previously, standing tall enough to reach my knees.
Upon approaching, they immediately leaned forward, bowing to me in a show of submission.
I couldn't shake the bizarre sensation of seeing bugs bow before me, but I eventually suppressed the feeling and turned my attention back to the god’s messenger.
A part of me remained instinctively guarded.
Even though the messenger was radiating divine energy—which served as proof of their identity—I couldn't help but feel skeptical. I kept harboring the suspicion that this entire place was nothing but a trap set for me.
It felt as though the true messenger of god might have been disposed of by these insects and replaced by this queen bug.
Their refusal to accompany us made it feel like we were being led directly into an ambush designed to eliminate us.
Nevertheless, there was no concrete proof of a trap, and they hadn't shown any open hostility. In fact, they seemed to treat us—or at least me—with a great deal of respect.
Therefore, until they displayed actual aggression, provoking them seemed like a poor idea.
"Fine, I'll go and retrieve it," I agreed.
The god’s messenger nodded before reclining once more on the bed where they had been resting this entire time.
As the queen of this insect colony, she was pampered by her subjects. The area had been meticulously adorned to ensure her maximum comfort.
I noticed that food and water had been gathered in abundance all around the area. It was clear that this messenger of god prioritized their own luxury.
Following my response, the elite guards who had been kneeling stood up silently. It appeared they had received a telepathic order and were moving to carry it out immediately.
The god’s messenger had mentioned possessing strange powers, and I had already surmised it was linked to the insects. There seemed to be a direct mental connection between the messenger and every bug in the colony.
Just as I prepared to follow the elite guards, they abruptly halted, as if receiving a different command.
Confused, I turned back toward the god’s messenger with a questioning look.
"I neglected to mention something," they said suddenly, noticing my turn.
I braced myself for some profound revelation, but it never arrived. Instead, what I heard was something that could have easily been said at any other time.
The messenger really had to stop everything just to say this...
"I forgot to tell you that my name is Queenie."
Immediately after the god’s messenger—after Queenie—said this, she seemed to lose all interest in the conversation, lying back down to be fed by her guards.
The elite guards in front of me, who had been waiting, began to march forward once more.
A wry smile touched my lips at the sight, but I kept my thoughts to myself and followed the guards.
I had already suspected it, but this confirmed it: Queenie was clearly self-absorbed. Then again, that was only to be expected from the sole queen of an entire insect race.
