Alex explains his strategic reasoning for acquiring a contested building to Victoria. He believes the difficulty of the acquisition will build the reputation of his new Eclipse Holdings and its security company. Victoria, understanding his plan, agrees to help facilitate a meeting with the stubborn owner, setting up an evening appointment.

Victoria took out six cards and slid them across the desk toward him.

"These are what you asked for."

Each card was matte black, edged in thin gold lettering. At the top, the words Blackwood Cultivation Authority were stamped in clean official script, with the family seal pressed beneath them.

The department handled registration and oversight for unaffiliated cultivators. Every Sacred Family ran its own system to identify and regulate practitioners. Anyone who wanted to operate openly needed one of these licenses.

Alex picked up the first card.

Alexander Hale

Status: Early Enhanced

Then he checked the others.

Except for Viktor, listed as Late Enhanced, and Damien, listed as Middle Enhanced, every one of them was marked Early Enhanced.

Alex had deliberately kept it that way. A sudden cluster of Apex-level cultivators would have drawn attention far too quickly. For now, a low profile was safer.

Alex slipped the six cards into his pocket.

Victoria watched him for a moment, then smiled.

"I’ll be watching how you deal with that old man."

Alex returned the smile.

"I won’t disappoint."

He stood, closed his laptop, tucked it under his arm, and gave her one last nod before walking out of the office.

Victoria remained seated, her eyes fixed on Alex’s back as he left the office.

When the door closed, she finally exhaled.

She hadn’t wanted him to take on this much trouble. One call from her side could have cleared half the obstacles already. But she let it be. It was his company. His path. If he wanted to truly call it his own, he had to earn it himself.

She would stay beside him and help where she could, nothing more than that for now.

She turned.

Margaret was still standing there, eyes locked on the doorway, clearly lost in thought.

A mischievous smile touched Victoria’s lips as she rose from her chair and walked over.

"He’s already gone," she whispered near Margaret’s ear.

Margaret jolted, face flushing as she snapped out of it.

"I—I wasn’t—"

"You liked him that much?" Victoria teased softly. "Couldn’t stop staring? You little bitch... you were even peeking on us."

Margaret froze for a second, then recovered fast. Embarrassment shifted into a sharp little smirk of her own.

"How could I not peek?" she shot back. "I never expected my boss to be so thirsty she’d call her man over and get fucked in the office... without caring that anyone could walk in at any time."

Victoria raised a brow, amused rather than offended.

Margaret’s voice lowered, more curious now.

"So... how did you take it?"

Victoria tilted her head, still amused.

"What?"

Margaret gestured with her hand, eyes narrowing slightly.

Margaret gestured with her hand, eyes narrowing slightly.

"His cock. It was just too big. How did it fit?"

Victoria burst out laughing.

"If you were really that curious," she said, "you should have come in."

Margaret lightly hit her arm.

"You know I can’t..."

Victoria laughed even harder at the unsure answer.

"You can’t come in... but you can peek and even finger yourself, huh?"

Her expression turned a little lewder as she leaned closer, voice dropping into a teasing tone.

"You know how I felt the first time he took me? I thought he was going to tear me in two. It hurt so much... but once I got used to it, I didn’t want him outside of me."

Margaret smirked.

"If you can’t take it out of you... why don’t you just live with him? That way you can sleep with him still inside you."

Victoria smiled.

"I’m going to."

Margaret blinked.

"What? Really?"

"Yes. From tonight."

Victoria laughed again at the shocked look on her friend’s face.

Alex stepped out of the building.

Two security guards were already waiting near the entrance. One of them guided him toward his car parked at the front and handed over the keys.

Alex took them, slid into the driver’s seat, and pulled out onto the road.

As the vehicle joined the flow of traffic, he opened the system panel.

[DING!!]

[Conquest Points earned: 3250 CP]

[Total available Conquest Points: 52,050 CP]

A satisfied smile crossed Alex’s face as he looked at the total.

Last night with Emma and Madison had been more than just pleasure. Taking both of them at once had clearly triggered a stronger system reward. Even without the high status of women like Victoria or Natalia, the two of them alone had still given him 6,800 points, nearly double what he would have expected.

Alex closed the system window, a flash of satisfaction crossing his face.

The visit had gone better than expected. Victoria had agreed to live with him, and he had even run into a few old acquaintances along the way.

He pressed down on the accelerator and headed home.

Half an hour later, Alex reached Roland Estate and turned the car toward Viktor’s villa. He planned to hand over the cultivator cards and check on them at the same time.

’By now, they should already have broken through to the Apex Realm.’ The thought alone made Alex’s pulse quicken. The idea of having an entire team at that level was genuinely thrilling.

He pulled up to the gates of Viktor’s villa and rang the bell.

A moment later, the gate opened. Pavel stood there. The second his eyes landed on Alex, excitement flashed across his face. Without thinking, he stepped forward and pulled him into a tight hug.

Then reality hit him.

Pavel immediately stepped back, straightening up.

"Sorry, boss."

Alex chuckled.

"It’s fine. You look rather excited, huh?"

Pavel nodded quickly, still a little flushed, then turned and hurried inside to notify the others.

Within moments, the whole group gathered in the front courtyard.

Alex looked them over, one brow raised.

"You guys aren’t training today?"

It was a fair question. He had never seen them rest for long... training was practically their default state.

Viktor smiled.

"I made them rest. They earned it. They all reached Apex tonight."

Andre lifted one arm and flexed, grinning wide as power visibly rolled under his skin.

"Boss... the strength flowing through my veins right now is insane. More than ten times what it used to be. The vital essence is still hard to control, but it won’t take long. Especially once you start teaching us."

The others laughed at Andre’s excitement, but none of them were any better. The same bright energy sat on all their faces.

Alex could feel it clearly. Their happiness was genuine and for a moment, he felt the same.

He reached into his pocket and took out the license cards. Keeping his own, he handed the rest to Viktor.

Curious, the others quickly gathered around him.

Viktor passed each man his card.

"This is your license," he said. "From now on, you can live freely in Blackwood territory without fear."

They checked their cards at once.

A few seconds later, their expressions shifted.

"Boss... is this a mistake?" Pavel asked, frowning at the card. "It says I’m only Early Enhanced."

Viktor shook his head.

"It’s not a mistake. That’s your original realm before you came here. If you suddenly appear as Apex, it will create too many complications."

He glanced across the group.

"From now on, we’ll be dealing with people like us. Hiding our true realm gives us a serious advantage."

Andre frowned slightly.

"But... won’t that still cause problems?"

Alex spoke before Viktor could answer, his voice calm and certain.

"Don’t worry about the complications. I’ll take care of it."

They all looked down at their licenses again.

They already had ones from their old families, but those had been bronze. License plates had colors and grades... that much they knew. These black ones, though, were different. None of them fully understood what the black grade meant.

Alex didn’t give them time to dwell on it.

"You all come with me," Alex said. "I have an important job for you."

He turned and headed into the meeting room with Viktor. The others followed close behind, unsure what the job would be, but clearly excited. It had been a long time since Alex had given them a direct assignment.

Once inside, they took their seats.

Alex looked over them once, then opened his laptop and turned the screen toward the group.

A man’s face filled the display... sharp features, cold eyes, the kind of expression that belonged to someone used to getting his way.

"This is Raymond Cole," Alex said. "The owner of the building I want. I need everything on him. Whatever you can find in two hours."

He switched the page.

Three family names appeared on the screen.

"And these are the families trying to acquire his land," Alex continued. "They’ve been fighting over it for months. No one is willing to back down."

His tone stayed even.

"Dig as deep as you can into these three families. Their motivation to take that building. Their allies. Their reasons. Everything. I want it by tonight."

They all nodded.

The timeframe was tight, but none of them looked concerned. They had worked under pressure like this before. It wouldn’t be a problem.
