After reuniting for a meal, Charlotte and Brandon share a quiet moment in the garden. Charlotte expresses her desire to reconnect with everyone after her government disaffiliation. Brandon reveals his relationships with Elize and Ravene, which Charlotte accepts. However, upon returning to the house, Charlotte confronts Elize and Ravene, leading to a chaotic revelation that Brandon is romantically involved with nearly every woman in the house, including Florence, who is pregnant with his child.

*thud* The door shut firmly behind them.

Charlotte stood facing Elize and Ravene in the quieter side room.

She crossed her arms tightly over her chest as she looked between the two older women.

"I still can’t believe this. The two of you. His aunts. You’re supposed to take care of him and protect him. Not drag him into bed."

Elize couldn’t help but sigh under her breath.

Ravene leaned lightly against the nearby table with her arms loosely folded, watching Charlotte without interrupting.

Charlotte continued, clearly not finished.

"Do you even realize how this looks? You’re both older than him. You’ve known him since he was a child. You were supposed to be reliable figures in his life... not his lovers. And now I find out both of you have been sleeping with him for months?"

"And what happens when Aunt Marzella wakes up from her coma?"

"How exactly are the two of you planning to face her? Are you going to look her in the eyes and tell her you’ve both been in a relationship with her son?"

Elize’s gaze lowered slightly at the mention of Marzella, and Ravene’s expression flickered for a brief moment as well.

Charlotte took a step closer, "I already decided I could accept the others. The girls closer to his age. Even Florence. But the two of you..."

"You’re supposed to be his aunts."

Silence settled over the room for a moment.

Elize exhaled slowly "You’re not wrong about Marzella. That’s... something we’ve both thought about."

Ravene remained silent for a second longer "You can’t blame me... I’ve loved him for so long."

"Things... developed. By the time either of us stopped to think about how complicated it would become... it was already too late to call it a mistake and walk away."

Charlotte shook her head "You both should have stopped. Instead of keeping that line clear, you crossed it completely."

Her eyes shifted toward Elize "Especially you, Big Sis. You’re the one who always acts like the responsible one."

*knock*

At that time, they heard a knock on the door, and all three of them turned their heads at the same time.

A second later, the door opened and Brandon stepped inside.

"...Am I interrupting something?"

Charlotte glanced at him "We were just talking about you."

Brandon closed the door behind him with a quiet click and walked a few steps further into the room.

"...I can see that," he muttered.

Charlotte turned toward him "I was asking your dear aunts how exactly they plan to face your mother when she wakes up from her coma. Since both of them thought it was a good idea to sleep with her son."

Brandon stepped closer to Charlotte and gently pulled her into his arms.

She stiffened for a brief second from residual frustration, but the next second she melted into his arms.

Then he leaned in and pressed a soft kiss against her lips "I love them," he said quietly. "Both Elize and Ravene."

Charlotte’s eyes widened slightly, and he continued "What I have with them is real. Just like what I have with you... and with the others."

"I love them dearly with all my heart."

He glanced briefly toward Elize and Ravene before looking back at Charlotte.

"And when Marzella wakes up... I will explain everything to her."

"I’ll tell her myself. About Elize and Ravene. If there’s anger, or shock, or worse... I’ll take responsibility for it."

His hand gently stroked the back of Charlotte’s head as he held her.

"I know this situation is messy and how it looks wrong from the outside. But I won’t deny my feelings for them... and I won’t run from the consequences either."

Charlotte exhaled slowly and lowered her gaze for a moment, her forehead resting lightly against his shoulder.

"I already decided I wouldn’t try to control everything the way I used to," she said after a pause.

"I meant that. Even when it comes to the others. But hearing about Elize and Ravene still hit differently."

"They’re not the same as Florence or the girls. They’re supposed to be family first."

Brandon’s chest vibrated with a soft chuckle "...But doesn’t that same logic apply to you as well?"

Charlotte’s body stiffened slightly in his arms.

"You’re supposed to be my big sister."

"You’ve called yourself that for years and you’ve protected me like it. So if the problem is crossing a family line... then where does that leave us?"

A visible flush spread across Charlotte’s cheeks "Th-That’s different," she muttered quickly.

"I’ve always... It’s not the same as them. They’re your aunts. I’ve always been-"

"Is that hypocrisy I’m seeing?"

Ravene muttered in an amused voice.

"You spent the last several minutes scolding us for crossing a line because we’re family. But the moment Kael points out about your relationship... suddenly the rules change?"

Charlotte’s lips pressed into a thin line as she looked between Ravene and Elize, clearly struggling to find a clean counterargument.

Looking at her face, Brandon’s gaze softened.

He raised his hand and gently caressed her cheek with his thumb, brushing lightly over the lingering flush that still colored her skin.

"Charlotte," he said softly, "when I look at you... I’m not just seeing a reliable and lovely Big Sister."

His thumb continued its slow motion against her cheek as he held her gaze.

"I also see a beautiful woman who I love very much."

Charlotte’s breath caught faintly at the directness of the words, and the blush on her face deepened.

"The same goes for them as well."

"When I look at Elize, I don’t only see the composed, responsible aunt who’s always trying to keep everyone in line. I see a woman I’ve come to love. Someone who worries, who softens, who stays by my side even when things get complicated."

"And when I look at Ravene... it’s the same. She’s not just ’Aunt Ravene’ to me. She’s someone I’ve shared a long time of closeness with."

He gently tilted Charlotte’s face a little more toward him, "I love all of you."

Charlotte’s lips parted slightly and wrapped her arms tightly around him.

"...I’m not against it," She muttered into his chest and tightened her arms around him a little more.

"It’s just... strange. Imagining the two of them with you like that. Elize, who’s my Big Sister... and Ravene, who’s been around since forever. When I think about them kissing you, holding you, being with you the same way I want to be..."

She trailed off for a second, then let out a small, frustrated breath.

"It feels weird. Because it doesn’t match the image I’ve always had of them."

Elize moved closer and gently wrapped her arm around Charlotte’s shoulders from behind "I can relate to that."

Charlotte shifted slightly in Brandon’s arms to look at her big sister.

"When Ravene first told me how she felt about him... it felt strange to me too," Elize continued.

"She’s always been like that around him... close, and affectionate, but hearing her say that she loves him was different. It didn’t match the image I had of her either. Or of him."

She gave Charlotte’s shoulder a light squeeze "So I understand why it feels weird. It felt that way for me as well."

Hearing her words, Charlotte couldn’t help but chuckle "I can imagine that."

Ravene, still leaning against the table, raised an eyebrow but didn’t look particularly offended.

If anything, there was a faint, wry smile at the corner of her lips as she watched the three of them.

With a shake of her head, she replied "Feelings rarely care about the image people have of you."

Charlotte shot a look "Yeah, yeah... the feelings you had for him when he was in highschool, you groomer."

Ravene’s eyes widened slightly "HEY- ! MY LOVE IS PURE LOVE!"

"Don’t you dare put it like that! I didn’t do anything weird back then! I waited! I restrained myself! Do you have any idea how much self-control that took?!"

Charlotte raised an unimpressed eyebrow, still comfortably tucked against Brandon’s chest with Elize’s arm around her.

"You were already smothering him with those things in high school," she replied flatly, glancing pointedly toward Ravene’s chest.

"Don’t act like you were some pure, patient saint."

"That was normal affection!" Ravene shot back.

"And I never crossed the line until he was an adult! My feelings were sincere from the start, not whatever dirty version you’re trying to paint!"

"Uh-huh."

"Don’t ’uh-huh’ me! Also Brandon enjoyed my breasts, so I didn’t stoop him."

"He was an adolescent boy, so of course he’d be curious. You took advantage of that and seduced him with those things."

Ravene’s face flushed "I did not seduce him! He was the one who kept staring! What was I supposed to do, tape them down?!"

"You could have worn clothes that didn’t look like they were one deep breath away from giving up," Charlotte replied flatly.

"Instead you kept pressing them against him every chance you got. Hugging him from behind, leaning over him, resting them on his head-"

"That was aunt-like affection!"

"Aunt-like? Is that what we’re calling it now?"

Brandon, still holding Charlotte, closed his eyes and let out a long, suffering sigh.

He looked like a man watching his past sins get dragged into the present one by one.

Ravene continued to defend herself "There’s a difference between being affectionate and deliberately seducing someone! I never whispered anything inappropriate into his ear or tried to push him into anything when he was younger!"

Charlotte raised an eyebrow "You didn’t need to whisper. You just needed to breathe in his direction while wearing a low-cut top."

"That’s-!"

Ravene opened her mouth, closed it, then turned toward Brandon for support.

"Kael! Say something! She’s twisting everything!"

Brandon opened one eye, looking between the two women "...I mean, you did let me rest my head on them a lot back then..."

"KAEL!"

Charlotte immediately smirked "See? Even he admits it."

Ravene looked betrayed "That’s because you looked comfortable! And you never complained!"

"It was comfortable."

Elize finally raised both hands in a calming gesture, "That’s enough. This conversation is rapidly going nowhere productive. Charlotte, stop deliberately provoking her. Ravene, stop giving her more material to work with."

Before Ravene could fire off another protest, Brandon reached out with his free arm and pulled her firmly into the hug as well.

"Come here," Brandon murmured as he adjusted his arms so both women were held securely against him.

Ravene exhaled and allowed herself to lean into him, resting her hand lightly against his side.

Elize glanced at them and smiled in her heart ’I am glad we were able to talk things out.’
