Amon finalized his plans with Yao Ai and returned to the Vicious Domain to cultivate. He underwent significant physical changes due to the Transcendent Poison Blood Union, gaining enhanced durability, strength, and a more monstrous appearance. His cultivation levels also advanced. Upon emerging, he met with Zee Whang, who had repaired and upgraded Amon's puppets. Zee Whang also revealed he had located and deciphered a mechanism, leading Amon to retrieve a powerful Soulfire Armor from Duan Jang's workshop. After a perilous fusion process, Amon successfully donned the armor.

The Soulfire Armor even extended to his tail. It was built using his body’s measurements, after all. The length of his tail was covered by segmented armor. This allowed his tail to move freely. Even the stinger at the tail’s end was covered by a sharp blade, fashioned from a small portion of Thien Huo’s claw. This blade would help him pierce most things to deliver his poison.

Amon tested moving around. Despite wearing full armor, his movements weren’t impeded. He was impressed with Duan Jang’s craftsmanship. He tried gauging the armor’s power. He couldn’t, so he asked Duan Jang, "What is the grade of this armor?"

Duan Jang paused for a beat before answering, "It is probably mid-tier divine..."

"... You don’t sound too sure."

Duan Jang shrugged. "To be honest, this was the strongest armor that I have ever encountered, let alone made. I can’t picture a stronger armor, so I want to give it the highest grade possible, a high-tier divine armor. However, that will be my hubris. In all honesty, I can’t tell. I even think it has untapped potential that I can’t draw out simply through my craftsmanship. They are hidden inside those two glowing orbs, which are made from the two spirit cores you gave me. What I can say for sure is that it is divine-grade armor. Even Mo Wang would find it hard to break through that armor."

"Difficult, but not impossible?" Amon asked.

"What do you expect? Mo Wang is the strongest person in existence in this lower world. Any armor that can withstand his power for even a while is already considered an incredible treasure. Nevertheless, that armor has an engraving that allows it to mend itself. So long as it doesn’t completely break, any fracture it suffers will slowly heal. It’s a pity Du Gong was already dead."

Du Gong was a Grandmaster-level Engraver who once worked under Lang Man. He was among the specialists that Amon wished to recruit, like Dian Jang. Unfortunately, he had been killed during the climactic battle between Hai Di and Lang Man at Fractured Heart City.

"If he were still alive, he should be able to apply an engraving that can grant this armor an instant recovery ability. Imagine this armor, already almost impervious to most things, able to recover from all cracks in an instant. If your enemy doesn’t possess the power to destroy this armor in one hit, you will be invincible."

"No point in lamenting the things we don’t have. That is the attitude of losers," Amon said. "What about my Broken Justice?"

"Here," Duan Jang took the weapon out of his space ring. "Although I don’t think it’s apt to call this weapon broken anymore."

The weapon Duan Jang showed no longer looked like a broken sword. Amon could still recognize the weapon. What was different was that its blade no longer appeared broken. It now looked like a proper dagger. It had a red line along its edge.

"I take it this weapon can be considered a proper divine-grade weapon now?" Amon asked.

"My take is this weapon is originally a high-tier divine weapon," Duan Jang replied. "I can’t repair it back to its former glory. It is now a low-tier divine weapon. I used a portion of the Salamander Dragon’s claw as the repair material."

Amon nodded with a satisfied expression.

"I also added the same imprint as that armor. Only you can use this weapon," Duan Jang informed. "So, what will you call this weapon now?"

"Corrupted Justice," Amon answered.

Duan Jang shrugged. "Well, it’s your weapon. You are free to name it however you like."

"That I do. Good job," Amon praised before leaving Duan Jang’s workshop.

He left the prison box before leaving Fracture Heart City. Outside the city, he summoned Lin Li. She had also upgraded. Her ninth tail was now the same length as her other tails. She had now reached the full potential of a multi-tailed fox, the nine-tailed fox.

Amon climbed atop her. Her current speed was faster than most transport beasts, and the location he wanted to go was not far. She could maintain her top speed till they reached the destination, which was three hours later.

The destination was a desolate landscape filled with rocky hills. He told Lin Li, "Return to the ring, but be ready at a moment’s notice. I might need your illusion power to distract the opponent in case he decides to be hostile. That should give us time to escape. Also, make sure Di Ying stays inside. I have shut the window to see the outside world. She shouldn’t know who I am meeting. It will just complicate matters."

"I understand, brother," Lin Li replied. She vanished into the Black Space Ring afterward.

Amon looked down. He had the coordinates from Zee Whang, so he knew his target was here. However, he also knew his target was hiding. There should be a hideout in one of those rocky hills. Finding its entrance would be the hard part.

It turned out that was not the case. He noticed the side of one of the rocky hills began to glow. The glow revealed a small cave. Amon headed to the cave and landed before its entrance. He looked around. The glow came from activated words of power. More words of power adorned the walls inside the cave.

Amon sneered. He entered the cave. He recognized a few words of power decorating the walls. Some of them functioned as traps. They remained inert when he passed them by, meaning the one with control had turned them off so he could pass safely.

He arrived at a dead end.

"Hm..." Amon didn’t believe a cave filled with all these words of power ended like this. He touched the wall at the end of the cave. Another set of words of power flared. Light swept him by, as if scanning him. When the light dissipated, he found that the wall he was touching lost its density. His fingers sank into the wall.

The wall still existed in his perception, but it had become intangible.

He didn’t know what was behind this wall, but he didn’t come all this way to turn back. He knew full well that coming here was risky, but he also knew that sometimes he must take the risk. He stepped into the illusory wall.

He came out into a spacious cavern filled with various furniture and equipment. Some looked sophisticated, while others appeared mundane, like a simple bed and sofa for resting. The place was designed as a space where one could work and live simultaneously.

"You look very different."

Amon heard a voice from above and looked up. Mo Wang was up on a balcony above. Amon couldn’t sense him. This cavern must have been fitted with words of power that dulled cultivation sense.

"That armor... Is it made of that fallen Salamander Dragon?" Mo Wang asked.

"In case your greed tempts you to rob this armor, let me tell you first that this armor has my soul imprint," Amon informed. "Only I can use it. Additionally, this armor will self-destruct at the moment of my death."

Mo Wang chuckled. "Hehe, don’t worry. I have no interest in stealing your equipment. Still, I’m surprised you managed to discover my concealed link with the Black Space Ring. The second I sensed the link being disconnected, I knew you would be coming here."

"Why remain here if you know that?" Amon asked.

Mo Wang laughed. "Don’t flatter yourself, General Amon. The one I fear is the Divine. No one in this lower world is qualified to force me to leave if I don’t wish to. If Di Yu comes, I will leave, not because of fear, but because I don’t want to be bothered by the consequences that follow from slaying her. I certainly don’t have any reason to flee just from the likes of you. It should be you instead who should worry about getting out of this place safely, and I commend you for having the guts to come here."

"I am only here to talk." Amon lifted his hands in a peace-offering gesture.

"After what you have done? Why should I?"

"Don’t act as if I’ve wronged you. You yourself used me. I know you could track and eavesdrop on me through this Black Space Ring. That’s how you came at such the right timing when we were battling Ling Dau. You wanted to use the opportunity to eliminate Di Yu and Thien Huo, who had now become thorns in your side. You managed to achieve half of your objective. Too bad, Di Yu is still at large."

"So, you have discovered the connection and severed it. That should be the end of it. Why risk yourself by coming here? And don’t try to bluff me using Di Yu. I have scanners installed around this region. I know there are no noble dragons anywhere near here."

"I come here to present you with an offer of alliance," Amon said.

"Alliance? For what? From what I heard, you are practically the ruler of this lower world now. Haven’t I mentioned it to you before? I don’t care who rules this place, at least not anymore. You can run it to the ground, for all I care. Why do you need my alliance for?"

"To face a common enemy," Amon answered.

Mo Wang lifted his eyebrows. "You don’t mean..."

"I’m going for the upper world, which means taking on the Divine. We can work together to eliminate him. Once he is out of the picture, you no longer need to fear him."
