After a profound transformation, the protagonist awakens in a spiritual form, reunited with Alice. They confirm the defeat of Dimenion, but the protagonist's memories are fragmented from their near-fatal battle. Alice explains that the protagonist's body was destroyed and rebuilt with the help of Dungeon Cores and that everyone sacrificed their lifeforce to save them. As much as I enjoyed this place and found it incredibly relaxing and peaceful, we could not stay here forever. Above all else, I needed to understand what had truly happened.

Alice rested gently upon the sea of light, floating serenely as I lay against her large, soft bosom. It felt wonderfully bouncy and warm, offering a strange sense of comfort amid the confusion. I gazed downward at the gentle waves of bright, liquified colorful light that shimmered and flowed endlessly beneath us.

"So what exactly is this place, Alice? Where are we?" I asked.

"This? It is the Soul Plane," she replied calmly.

"..."

I remained silent for a long moment, simply taking in the surroundings. Then, realization slowly dawned on me as I looked farther into the distance. An endless expanse stretched out before us, filled with countless vibrant colors and shifting forms. Vast white and golden skies loomed overhead, while seas of luminous clouds drifted peacefully. The beautiful liquid light beneath us finally revealed its true nature.

This entire "sea" was pure Soul Essence.

"WHAT?!"

I could not respond in any other way. The shock hit me like a sudden wave.

How didn't I realize earlier?!

I turned back to Alice, who giggled softly at my exaggerated reaction.

"I knew you would be surprised," she said with a warm smile. "Yes, part of our consciousness and souls ended up here during the entire ordeal."

"C-Can we go back?" I asked quickly, a hint of anxiety creeping into my voice.

"Anytime you wake up. Do not worry, it is not dangerous. The Soul Plane is divided into many layers and is incredibly vast. The most populated areas can be risky, filled with Soul Beasts and Reincarnation Gods or similar powerful lifeforms. However, we landed in a very remote region. This Domain has become your territory."

"M-My territory?" I stammered, completely caught off guard. "Huh? Alice, just what the hell happened?"

"Well, it is a little complicated to explain, but…" Alice began patiently. "When you forcefully transformed yourself into a goddess temporarily, you managed to tap into the dormant power within me. We connected with countless souls across the world of Terrarium, turning you into a pseudo-reincarnation goddess." She continued gently, "By default, you gained a territory within the Soul Plane. Even though your form has now returned to that of a mortal—because you cannot maintain a goddess form for long without literally exploding—you have still kept this territory. Well, we have kept it."

"I-I see…!" I muttered, struggling to process the flood of information. "O-Okay then… um, so I am not a goddess anymore?"

"You are in a strange status," Alice explained. "You have recovered your physical form, but most of your divine power remains sealed. This is because you almost completely spent it all during the battle."

"EH?!"

"In that fight, you used everything," she continued. "Divine Power is not permanent, you know? It is an energy that gets consumed. When you expend it all and weaken your divinity too much, you can 'die' as a god and become something like a Fallen God. That is your current state… but not exactly. You are like a Half-Fallen God and Half… well, Half-Elf? More like… you will find out soon once you wake up."

I fell into silence as I began thinking deeply about everything she had told me. As I had feared, I had nearly lost my divine power entirely by channeling it all at once in that desperate fight.

"It is as if I had lost a limb, right? I cannot simply regrow it," I muttered quietly, a heavy feeling settling in my chest. "I know I should have trained my divinity like a muscle over time, but the situation did not give me that chance."

"I do not blame you for that," Alice said kindly. "We are now working to regrow that limb. You need to start accumulating divine power again. Still, the changes from your temporary transformation remain. The Divinity you obtained has fragmented, but I have repaired it. Now you possess two. The initial Heroic Divinity of Fire and Thunder has condensed into something new, while the Divinity of the System has also manifested. Both remain mostly passive for now, though not entirely dormant. They are slowly accumulating power over time."

"I see…" I nodded slowly. "I guess I cannot enter god mode again so easily, huh? Did I get weaker overall?"

"I would not say weaker. You are still strong," Alice reassured me with a gentle, kind smile. "Though… well, some things were lost during your rebirth… um, namely… err…"

"Spit it out. I will take it," I said, bracing myself.

"Your Magic Circle and your Spirit Heart were consumed by your physique and soul as they merged," she replied softly, almost apologetically. "All the spells you knew… your entire magic system is… not gone! Hahaha… but… it has become very weak. You will have to start from zero and forge a new magic circle. Your spiritual heart has regrown, but it is different now…"

"E-Eh?" Shock washed over me. "My Magic Circle…" I muttered weakly, my voice barely above a whisper. "The one I raised and built since I was a baby is gone?"

"Not gone! It merged with you! It is now part of you," she said quickly, trying to sound encouraging. "It became extra energy to keep you alive. But… yes, that is the situation."

"..."

I stayed quiet for a while. That explained why I had felt something important was missing inside me. All the runes I had carefully forged over the years had melted away into primal magical energies, used to keep me from dying and to give me the strength to fight Dimenion.

I suppose such immense power could not be obtained without sacrifices. Even though my life had been miraculously saved by everyone offering pieces of their own lifespan and souls, I still had to pay a personal price for my reckless decision.

"What about the Skills?" I asked.

"Many broke due to system errors that appeared and were later fixed," Alice explained. "Their remains were merged into new ones…!"

"Oh!" I brightened up slightly. "That sounds good!"

"Yeah! You have definitely become stronger in some aspects, and you have taken a step back in others. But it is not like we cannot recover! With all your resources, skills, and mana, we can return to how you were in no time!" Alice said enthusiastically.

"Ugh, the problem is I am entering the Academy soon, right? I will show up as a complete novice in magic!" I muttered with a sigh. "I guess that is the price I have to pay for what I did…"

"But is that not better in the long run? You will grow from this!" Alice said optimistically. "You will be able to use the Magic Circle Cultivation Methods of the Mage Tower even more effectively in your current state. Now you are a blank slate that can develop into something even greater than before! Your foundation can be rebuilt stronger than ever. Perhaps this time, we can even incorporate your divinity into the magic circle formation, allowing you to generate divine power more easily."

Oh right!
