Zack’s aura exploded with overwhelming power. He achieved this even though he could barely channel thirty percent of it before. In this desperate, life-threatening moment, his unbreakable willpower and fierce desire to survive finally connected. His Beast Aura fully merged with his body, and he mastered the power of another bloodline without ever drinking it or consciously trying to assimilate it.

He transformed into a mighty physical manifestation of the special spirit beast within him, a monster that did not exist in the real world but was born from his own soul.

His gigantic claws tore through everything in his path. Each metallic claw, formed from his own axes that had merged with his body as soul treasures, sliced his enemies apart instantly. The foes fell in shredded pieces, cut down by his devastating strikes.

But more monsters kept coming.

Zack roared as he fought on, struggling with everything he had. He refused to give up, doing what he knew best. Winds and thunder gathered around him as he quickly began to compress his massive form. The giant size wasted too much energy. He needed something smaller and more compact while keeping the same destructive power.

He merged human and bear into one powerful, concentrated shape. This ideal middle form had always been beyond his grasp until now.

Zack took on a smaller yet still imposing build as a werebear. Though three times larger than his human body, he remained compact and densely muscular. He charged forward once more, fighting with tooth and claw without end in sight.

He fought relentlessly until the beasts finally pushed him back far enough that he could no longer step forward. His senses grew dull. The thick scent of blood filled his nostrils, and blurred shapes were all his eyes could make out.

And yet...

The heart within his body continued to beat strongly.

The divine power inside him, though weak and withered...

Refused to yield.

The boss monsters, now possessing intelligence, stepped back warily as they watched him stand tall. His eyes burned with pure hatred focused directly on them. After such a long battle, they had grown afraid. Intelligence had brought them fear, an emotion monsters rarely felt, especially those programmed to kill on sight.

The bosses began to rationalize his incredible strength by thinking of him as one of their own kind. In a way, they were not wrong. Zack had already started mutating into something far beyond human.

"Nonsense!" A skeleton surged forward from the group, wrapped in dark shadows. It groaned in pain while gathering souls around its body to form a giant scythe.

"Lichlord?!"

"Weren’t you dead?!"

"That bitch got me good. I am harmed, but still alive. We Liches have our ways of surviving such attacks. Phylacteries hidden away and all that."

"!!!"

The Lichlord sneered as he walked forward, his scythe glowing with dark energy. "Fools, he is in a near-comatose state. He cannot move properly. He is only putting on a strong front to intimidate you. He will die soon."

"Really?!"

"Wait, what are you planning to do?"

"He’s ours. We fought him!"

"Is that so?" The Lichlord glared at them, his eyes glowing brightly within the empty sockets of his skull. "Then you are free to claim him! Or... what?"

"!!!"

The monsters stepped back as they felt his overwhelming presence. The Lichlord resonated the most with Lolth’s Curse. By consuming the hundreds of thousands of souls from his fallen brethren, he had grown tremendously stronger.

"That’s what I thought," the Lichlord said with a cold smile. He looked at Zack and pointed his scythe directly at him. "Now rest in peace and become my eternal servant!!!"

He roared with laughter as he swung the scythe down to kill Zack and claim him as an undead minion.

"?!"

However, a blazing figure suddenly appeared out of nowhere in front of Zack. The newcomer was tall, slender yet powerfully muscular, with blazing red, gold, and white hair and fiery gold-red eyes. Feathers and scales covered parts of his body, and a pair of enormous wings made of white flames surged behind his back. He wielded a blazing sword, and his mere presence sent shivers down everyone’s spines.

In that instant, they all knew exactly who stood before Zack.

"H-Hero...!"

"A true hero!"

"Where did he come from?!"

The five boss monsters took a step back, intimidated by his intense glare. The hero sighed softly and smiled at Zack. "You did a good job, kid. Here."

He opened an Elixir and poured it over Zack, helping him regain consciousness while rapidly healing his wounds.

Zack coughed heavily. "W-Wait... Huh?! Uncle Allan!"

"The one and only!" Allan replied with a warm smile. "Welcome back, Zack. I’m sorry I arrived at such a difficult time. I should have come sooner... We were constantly delayed by endless armies of monsters and even powerful bosses descending the stairs. It was complete chaos."

"So that’s why you were slowed down..." Zack coughed again. "Wait...! Where’s Sylphy?! And everyone else... Mist?!"

"My son just contacted me. He said he entered another dungeon and... the connection cut off there," Allan explained. "I don’t know what is happening down there. I want to go help my daughter, but I cannot overlook this situation here either. I have to trust her. I have to trust that Sylphy can take care of herself now."

"I have to go see them...!" Zack groaned, forcing himself to stand. "But these bastards just won’t stop coming...!"

"I know," Allan nodded with a sigh. "But that can be solved easily. Let’s kill them all!"

Allan shared his Aura, his Flame, and the power of the special "Spell" that Sylphy had created with Zack. Suddenly, Zack felt a spark ignite within him as he realized its true composition.

"Is this a cure?!" he asked.

"More than just a cure," Allan replied. "It is what we need to win. Use it."

"I will," Zack said firmly with a determined nod.

Both of them turned to face the Lichlord and the other five boss monsters. A fierce new battle began.

"Let’s get this over with!"

Allan vanished from his position in an instant, transforming into a majestic Phoenix of Heavenly Flames. He sliced through the monstrous bosses with incredible speed, decapitating them, splitting them into pieces, or cutting them cleanly in half.

Zack watched in awe at how much stronger Uncle Allan had become. It was a beautiful and deadly dance of flames and swords.
