Fan Kang's cultivation was destroyed and he was killed by Wang Qiuyue, with Song Wen taking his remains and divine soul fragments. Wang Qiuyue then expressed concern about four beasts that escaped into the Poison Dragon Abyss and the difficulty of retrieving the Myriad Manifestations Spirit Liquid from its toxic depths. Song Wen, however, declared his intention to drain the abyss, and proceeded to use his Blood Sea Seal to create a massive crater, draining the abyss and revealing its deep lakebed.

In the northeastern corner of the Poison Dragon Abyss’s depths, nestled among jagged, ink-black rock formations, lay a small pool several meters in diameter.

The pool shimmered with a pale, ghostly light, reflecting a silvery-white liquid surface.

The liquid was as viscous as a mirror, resembling liquid silver or mercury, utterly immiscible with the remaining lake water in the pool, their boundaries sharply defined.

This substance was none other than the Myriad Manifestations Spirit Liquid that Song Wen and Wang Qiuyue had been seeking.

The quantity of Myriad Manifestations Spirit Liquid was immense, enough for both of them to break through their cultivation bottlenecks.

They divided the liquid equally, splitting the pool’s contents in half.

As for the four venomous pythons they had encountered earlier, the Poison Dragon Abyss actually harbored far more than just these seventh-tier serpents. Over a thousand lower-tier venomous pythons lurked within its depths.

However, as Song Wen drained the abyss, the receding waters had long since alerted the pythons.

Unwilling to meet their doom passively, the pythons surged to the surface, only to be slaughtered by Song Wen and Wang Qiuyue, their blood and flesh becoming nourishment for the Blood Sea Seal.

Suddenly, a white mist billowed from Wang Qiuyue’s body, enveloping her entirely.

Moments later, the mist dissipated, revealing Wang Qiuyue restored to her human form, clad in a crisp white martial attire.

Though the outfit should have exuded a fierce, heroic aura, Wang Qiuyue’s face betrayed a hint of pain, her delicate willow brows furrowed tightly.

Before her, a dozen gray snake eggs, each the size of a washbasin, suddenly appeared—the eggs of a venomous python.

Her crimson lips parted wide, and she inhaled sharply.

The eggshells shattered instantly, and the viscous yolk floated into the air, dripping into her mouth.

After devouring all the snake eggs, Wang Qiuyue smacked her lips a few times.

"Not bad, actually. They even replenished a bit of my spiritual power. But..."

She murmured to herself, then gasped sharply.

"Hiss—! This soul-tearing pain hasn’t lessened in the slightest..."

Wang Qiuyue raised her hand and pressed hard against her throbbing temples, her knuckles whitening with the effort, as if trying to force down the bone-deep agony.

"Your injury is to your divine soul. How could snake eggs possibly heal that? Don’t you carry any soul-healing medicinal pills?" Song Wen asked.

"I do have some. But even with medicinal pills, injuries to the divine soul can’t be healed in a short time. Besides, I can’t afford to seclude myself for prolonged healing right now," Wang Qiuyue replied.

Unlike Song Wen, she hadn’t yet openly defied Yuanrong’s orders, though she often paid lip service to them. Disappearing for too long would raise suspicion. Even if she needed to heal, she’d have to wait until she rejoined Yuanrong. After all, she still relied on Yuanrong’s teleportation array plate to return to the Eastern Profound Continent.

"This should be useful to you," Song Wen said, flipping his hand to produce a jade bottle and tossing it to Wang Qiuyue.

The bottle contained two medicinal pills called the Three Lights Converging Spirit Pill, a supreme Spirit Herb for healing the divine soul. Song Wen had obtained them by slaying Wei Gu.

Since the pills were of no use to him, he decided to gift them to Wang Qiuyue.

Wang Qiuyue cautiously accepted the jade bottle and removed the restriction sealing it. Her eyes immediately flashed with astonishment.

"The Three Lights Converging Spirit Pill?!"

Clearly knowledgeable about such treasures, Wang Qiuyue looked up at Song Wen with disbelief and delight.

"I never imagined you possessed such a miraculous elixir! This pill is invaluable, but I desperately need it right now, so I’ll shamelessly accept it. I’ll remember this kindness. Stay safe on the Western Rong Continent. Once I return to the Eastern Profound Continent, I’ll find a way to help you return there as well."

"Then I thank you in advance, fellow daoist," Song Wen replied with a smile.

"Rest assured, I’ll do everything in my power. By the way, one pill is enough to heal my injuries. I’ll return the other to you."

Wang Qiuyue poured out one pill and handed the jade bottle back to Song Wen.

"Keep it for emergencies," Song Wen said, shaking his head slightly. He didn’t take the bottle back. Changing the subject, he added,

"This isn’t a place to linger. We should leave immediately."

Before the words had even finished echoing, Song Wen had transformed into a streak of light, vanishing into the distance.

Seeing this, Wang Qiuyue reluctantly stored the jade bottle in her storage ring and hurried after him.

"Ji Yin, didn’t you heal Bai Wei and her daughter’s divine soul injuries? They say the effects were immediate, even the most severe wounds recovering swiftly. Why won’t you heal me?" Wang Qiuyue asked as she raced alongside him.

"Daughter?" Song Wen glanced sideways, his expression stunned, and his escape speed faltered slightly. "Xu Mengyu is Bai Wei’s daughter?"

Wang Qiuyue paused, momentarily taken aback.

"You didn’t know? I assumed Bai Wei would have told you long ago, given your relationship."

Song Wen’s mind flashed back to Xuan Qu’s dying words: centuries ago, Bai Wei had been romantically involved with a demonic cultivator. But the demonic cultivator had suddenly vanished, leaving the relationship to wither and die.

"Is Xu Mengyu that demonic cultivator’s daughter?" Song Wen asked.

"It seems you’re not entirely ignorant of this matter," Wang Qiuyue replied.

Her answer served as an indirect confirmation: Xu Mengyu was indeed the demonic cultivator’s daughter.

"I overheard a few words from a Body Integration Stage cultivator once," Song Wen said.

Wang Qiuyue’s gaze gradually deepened, as if she were sinking into distant memories.

"Since you’ve already heard something, there’s no harm in telling you. That man... he was truly extraordinary."

"His name was Xu Yuhang. Though he came from the demonic path, he was nothing like ordinary demonic cultivators."

"Xu Yuhang possessed remarkable beauty, his features as exquisite as a painting, his demeanor refined and elegant, captivating all who beheld him."

"Even more rare was his vast knowledge of ancient and modern lore. He was versed in all manner of arts, from Daoist scriptures and ancient secrets to music, chess, calligraphy, and painting, all of which he could expound upon with eloquence."

"His cultivation was unfathomably deep. When he first appeared outside Great Tan City, many orthodox cultivators rushed to subdue him, but none could withstand a single exchange. Yet he showed no taste for slaughter; all who challenged him were merely severely wounded, none killed. To this day, no one has ever been able to discern the true extent of his cultivation."

"After his reputation spread far and wide, Bai Wei and I both went to challenge him, only to be defeated."

"He was kind and considerate, especially adept at understanding women’s hearts. In those days, countless orthodox female cultivators fell for him... even Bai Wei, with her pride and arrogance, was no exception."
