Liana smiled the moment she saw Fransesca plant a quick kiss on Javier’s lips, his body glowing with a soft, radiant white light as he tried to squirm free before Fransesca grabbed him by the collar and began dragging him toward the manor despite his desperate attempts to escape.
"Now, now, Honey Bun~ Come inside. We have much to talk about~"
"M... Mother! Wait! I can walk on my own!" Javier protested, his voice strained as she dragged him toward the manor doors with surprising strength, his heels scraping lightly against the stone path. The maids followed behind, stifling their giggles behind their hands.
Liana watched with a fond smile before turning to face her co-wives again. She folded her hands neatly in her lap, her voice soft and calm.
"Let Lady Mother pamper our husband for a while. She’s been waiting for him to come home."
She paused, her gaze shifting toward Gracelle, a sly, knowing smile curling on her lips.
"Now~ Shall we continue our little talk, Gracelle~?"
Gracelle flinched the moment Liana’s eyes landed on her. She felt the weight of multiple gazes pressing down on her.
Liana’s calm, teasing smile, Gloria’s playful smirk as she nudged her glasses up, Felicia’s gentle but curious stare, Delya’s dreamy, knowing look, and Mimi’s wide, sparkling eyes filled with pure, mischievous excitement.
They all looked at her like they were about to dive into the juiciest gossip of the century.
Gracelle’s cheeks burned crimson. She turned her head away sharply, her hands twisting in her lap, her voice barely a squeak.
"W... why are you all looking at me like that...?"
"Nothing~ We just want to know~" Liana took a slow, graceful sip of her honey drink, her eyes never leaving Gracelle, the cup held delicately between her fingers.
Mimi suddenly perked up, her tail swishing behind her as she leaned forward with wide, sparkling eyes. "Nya~ Our husband’s dick is huge, right~?"
Gloria let out a long, weary exhale, pinching the bridge of her nose as she shook her head. Felicia’s tail twitched with irritation, her ears flattening slightly as she shot a narrow glare at her sister.
"Mimi! You shouldn’t ask something like that so directly!" Felicia’s voice was sharp but hushed, her cheeks tinting pink as she crossed her arms. "There’s a proper way to ask these things. You can’t just blurt it out like that!"
"Nya? Why?" Mimi tilted her head, placing one finger on her lips in genuine confusion, her tail swaying lazily. "This is wife talk, isn’t it? We’re not strangers here~"
Delya puffed out her cheeks, glaring at Mimi as she wagged a finger in her direction. "But Lyzia is here! She’s not part of the harem!"
"Nya? Oh... right... ehehe~ Sorry~" Mimi grinned sheepishly, rubbing the back of her head with a nervous laugh.
Liana simply shook her head, a soft smile playing on her lips as she set her cup down. She turned her gaze back toward Gracelle, her voice calm and teasing.
"Still... I’m sure ’someone’ fainted last night, didn’t she~?"
Gracelle stammered, her cheeks burning as she fumbled with her cup. "I... I don’t know what you’re talking about, Big Sister..."
She pretended to take a sip of her drink, but her trembling hand betrayed her, the cup clinking softly against the saucer. Liana chuckled softly, watching Gracelle fluster under her gaze before her expression turned serious, her gaze sweeping across the gathered wives. Her voice shifted from teasing to calm authority.
"Enough teasing for now. Everyone should focus on their training within these next two months. I want to see you all ready, especially you, Celine. By now, I’m certain other Armand special operative units are tracking people from your continent who were sent by Julius to find you. We cannot afford to be caught off guard."
Celine nodded quietly, her hands tightening around her cup. "Yes, Big Sister."
"Mm... Good." Liana nodded, her gaze sweeping across the group. "And since our husband has already arrived home, and his mission is now on hold, everyone should be sleeping in the same room from tonight onward."
Lyzia fidgeted, glancing at Celine beside her before turning her gaze toward Liana with pursed lips, a silent plea in her eyes.
Liana pinched the bridge of her nose, letting out a long, weary exhale before nodding.
"Fine. Celine will stay and sleep in the same room with you, Lyzia."
Lyzia’s face lit up instantly. "T... thank you, Sister!"
Liana’s eyes softened slightly, but her tone remained firm. "Remember, Lyzia. Focus on your training before you return to the elven nation. The world is dangerous, and our enemies are growing bolder. You must be prepared for anything."
Lyzia straightened her posture, her expression determined. "I... I will try my best, Sister!"
The balcony door opened, and Erinette appeared with her usual stern face. She stood in the doorway, her posture rigid and composed. Her sharp eyes swept across the gathered wives before settling on Liana.
"Liana?"
Everyone stood, the lighthearted atmosphere shifting into one of respectful attention. Liana rose gracefully from her seat, while Gloria clasped both hands in front of her maid dress and nodded slightly toward Erinette.
"Yes, Mrs. Erinette?"
Erinette crossed one arm under her breast, nudging her glasses up with her free hand as she spoke, her voice calm and measured.
"His Majesty requires your presence in his study. Immediately."
Liana bowed her head, her posture elegant and composed. "I understand. I will head there right away."
Erinette gave a curt nod before turning and stepping back through the balcony door, closing it softly behind her. The moment she was gone, Gloria glanced at Liana, her brow furrowing slightly with curiosity.
"I wonder why Father-in-law is summoning you."
Liana smiled softly, smoothing the front of her dress before she spoke. "Perhaps there is an important matter to discuss. Whatever it is, I should not keep him waiting."
She turned to face the others, her expression calm but warm. "Everyone, finish your evening tea and then go rest. I’ll see you all later."
Just as Liana was about to leave, a loud squawk echoed from below, cutting through the quiet evening air.
"Cuquawked!" (Yo, elf witch!)
Liana paused, letting out a long, tired exhale. She turned and peeked over the balcony railing, her eyes landing on Buddy, who was glancing up at her from the ground, flapping his wing in a lazy wave.
"What now, Buddy?"
Buddy puffed his chest out, his beak curling into a smug smirk as he let out a low, expectant squawk.
"Cuquawked~" (Food~)
