Reborn As Noble Chapter 1493: Flustered Son and a Delighted Mother ( 1493 )

Javier crashed into a nearby flower bush, his face landing first in the soft dirt with a muffled thud. He groaned, the sound carrying more frustration than pain as he pushed himself up, spitting out a few stray leaves.
"Ugh! That damn pekko!"
He lifted his body, brushing dirt from his clothes, before he noticed a pair of elegant shoes standing directly in front of him. His gaze traveled upward, slowly, until he met the eyes of his mother.
Fransesca stood there in her usual noble gown, radiant as always, her youthful features serene and composed, both hands clasped neatly in front of her. Her eyes, calm and knowing, gazed down at him with a gentle, amused smile.
"Honey Bun~?"
"A... ah..." Javier sat up quickly, rubbing the back of his head with a sheepish grin. "Esteemed Mother... ehehe..."
"Now, now~ Stand up." Fransesca waited patiently as Javier scrambled to his feet before she stepped forward, her hands reaching out to gently dust the dirt from his shoulders and coat. Her eyes narrowed playfully as she smiled up at him.
"Still have time to play with your orange pekko despite being so busy, hmm~?"
"Errr... well... you know how Buddy is, M... Mother... ehehe."
Fransesca smiled softly, the maids who had accompanied her waiting at a respectful distance. She glanced up at Javier, her voice dropping into a low, gentle tone.
"Honey Bun... about your encounter with those unknown creatures earlier... Are you hurt anywhere? Did those filthy things touch you? Did those shitheads lay a single finger on you?" Her eyes suddenly turned serious, and the air around her grew heavy, her aura flaring with a quiet, terrifying intensity. "If they harmed even one hair on my precious son’s head, I will make sure they regret ever crawling out of whatever filth they came from."
Javier raised both hands quickly, letting out a nervous chuckle as he shook his head. "I’m good, Mother! Nothing happened! No injuries, nothing hurts! I promise!"
He smiled, glancing down at her with warmth in his eyes. "Sorry to make you worry, Mother. I’ll try my best to be more careful next time."
Fransesca’s expression softened, her hands reaching up to pat both of his shoulders before adjusting his collar with gentle, practiced movements. She looked up at him, her eyes glistening with a mix of pride and nostalgia.
"My, my~ Look how tall you’ve grown, Honey Bun~ My little boy is so big now~ You’ve already completed your harem, and soon you’ll be a real adult~"
She turned her head away, raising a silk handkerchief to her face as she let out a dramatic, fake sob.
"Ohhh~ My little boy is going to leave me soon~ He’ll get married, have his own family, and forget all about his poor old mother~ I’ll be all alone in this big estate, waiting for my son to visit me once a year~"
"W... wha? No..." Javier exhaled, reaching out to gently take her hand. "Mother... it’s not like I’m getting married right now."
He let out a weary sigh, his voice softening.
"Besides... that kind of speech should be saved for my actual wedding day, don’t you think?"
Fransesca let out another dramatic sob, pressing the silk handkerchief to her face as her shoulders trembled with exaggerated grief.
"Ohhh~ My only little boy is really going to leave me~ He’s already talking about his wedding day~ He’s already planning to abandon his poor mother~ Sob sob~ I’ll be left all alone in this cold, empty estate with no one to call me Mother anymore~"
Javier shook his head, letting out a long, tired exhale. He reached up, gently brushing his thumb across the corner of her eye to wipe away a fake tear, his voice calm and patient.
"Mother... even if I wanted to, I wouldn’t be able to leave this estate. Remember? Even my brothers, Marcellus, Cedric, and all my half-siblings stayed inside the estate after they married, right? No one actually leaves."
Fransesca’s fake sobbing grew louder, her voice rising with even more theatrical despair.
"Ohhh! So my Honey Bun really is thinking about leaving me! He already has a plan! He’s already counting the days until he can escape his poor old mother! I knew it! I knew this day would come! My precious boy doesn’t love me anymore~"
"W... wha? I... I didn’t say that! Sheesh... Mother." Javier exhaled again, his shoulders slumping as he smiled softly, stepping closer to her. "I’m not leaving. I promise. I’ll always be your little boy, no matter what."
Fransesca sniffled, dabbing at her eyes with the handkerchief before peeking up at him with a sly, tearful glance.
"Really~?"
"Yes, Mother..."
Fransesca raised her pinky finger, her voice soft and playful. "Promise?"
Javier chuckled softly, shaking his head. "How childish is this... Yes yes~ I Promise."
He raised his pinky and connected it with hers. A soft pink aura flared around their linked fingers, making Javier’s eyes widen in surprise.
"M... Mother?"
"Tehe~ You already promised, Honey Bun~" Fransesca’s hand shot forward, grabbing the back of his neck and pulling him down, burying his face between her soft, warm breasts as she hugged him tightly, her voice filled with pure, maternal affection.
"Now you can never leave me~ Not even in your next life~"
Javier’s muffled protests were lost against the soft warmth of her embrace, his arms flailing weakly as Fransesca held him there, laughing softly with pure, motherly delight.
Meanwhile.
On the balcony.
Liana sat gracefully, a porcelain cup of warm honey drink cradled in her hands, her posture elegant and composed. Her silver hair caught the fading light as she brought the cup to her lips, taking a slow, unhurried sip.
Beside her, Gloria sat with her own cup of hot tea, the warmth seeping into her palms as she watched the scene below with a fond smile. Felicia tilted her head, her lips curved in quiet amusement, her eyes sparkling as she observed Javier’s flustered struggles.
Delya paused mid-bite, a small piece of chocolate resting between her lips, her usual dreamy smile spreading as she hummed softly in contentment. Mimi leaned over the balcony railing, both arms resting on the smooth stone, her chin propped on her arms. Her tail swayed slowly in a happy, rhythmic motion, her lower lip caught between her teeth, both fangs showing as she let out a soft, amused mumble.
"Nya~ Look at Husband~ He’s being smothered by Lady Mother again~"
Gracelle fidgeted in her seat beside them, her cheeks flushed a deep rose as she pressed her thighs together, her hands folded tightly in her lap. Every now and then she stole glances toward the balcony doors, before quickly looking away again.
Celine, seated nearby with Lyzia, watched the scene with wide eyes, her voice soft and curious.
"Is... is Lady Mother always this... doting toward him?"
Liana smiled, taking a slow sip of her honey drink before setting the cup down gracefully.
"She’s been like that ever since our husband was still a boy. Among all her sons, only he receives this level of over-doting affection. She treats him like he’s still her little baby, no matter how much he grows."
She paused, her gaze softening as she watched Fransesca hold Javier tightly.
"It’s not just affection... it’s her way of protecting him, of reminding him that no matter how strong he becomes, no matter how many enemies he faces, he will always have a mother who loves him unconditionally. She knows the burdens he bears, the responsibilities he shoulders, and the dangers he faces. So she showers him with love, hoping to shield him from the coldness of the world."
Gloria nodded, nudging her glasses up. "Lady Mother’s love is fierce, but it’s also a source of strength for him. He may act embarrassed, but deep down, he treasures every moment of it."
