Rio and Lia discuss the Sea of Miasma, with Rio boasting about his power to destroy it. They are interrupted by the arrival of Link, Riya, and Selain. Selain reflects on how much Rio has changed the demon continent for Lia, while Link comments on Rio's unwavering devotion to Lia. Além tries to steer the conversation towards her reason for visiting, frustrated by the display of affection.

Link and Riya completely ignored her words and continued on with their own stuff like there was no one but them in the entire world.

Their fingers were already tightly interlocked, and neither seemed to notice the dramatic sigh that escaped Selain’s lips.

Shaking her head in helplessness, Selain glanced at the dark black-haired girl standing beside Liam, and her eyes brightened slightly.

The girl stood quietly with her hands folded in front of her, and though she seemed a little nervous under the gaze of Selain, her eyes remained calm as if she faced enough storms in her life already to render everything else unworthy of concern.

"So you are Ellie... I finally got to meet an alive shadow dragon for the first time..."

Her gaze was filled with curiosity rather than hostility, and she examined Ellie with the bright interest of someone meeting a legend from an old storybook.

Selain wasn’t like the old stubborn dragons who were always rude and liked to stick to old rules!

She didn’t care whether Ellie was once a shadow dragon and was part of a lineage that had carried out a grand scheme of betrayal.

The age of miasma was already pretty much over with the ascension of Rio Flash, and the old accounts were already settled with the complete annihilation of the demon and shadow dragon races in this solar system.

The rivalries of the old world had burned themselves out, leaving only ashes that no one had any reason to rekindle.

There was no more need to keep the old enmities going anymore, and it was better to live a peaceful life in this new era of peace.

Holding onto the grudges of a thousand years would only chain the future to the mistakes of the past, and Selain had no wish to live that way.

"Err... yes, this is my girlfriend, Ellie."

Liam scratched his cheek with a slightly flustered look, clearly still not used to introducing her so openly in front of others.

Liam and Ellie were still in rank B, as they had to start over from scratch, and despite their progress being fast, they had to make up for years of accumulation!

Yet neither of them complained even once, because for them every small step forward was a hard-won blessing.

Due to their lower rank, the two of them often stayed in training grounds and rarely got involved in worldly matters anymore.

Days passed by with simple routines of training, resting, and training again, and the quiet life suited both of them perfectly.

In fact, even Riya and Link were usually in training, as they also wanted to catch up to Rio and become Demi-gods themselves.

Whenever they heard stories about Rio’s feats, their eyes would burn with fresh determination to climb higher.

But unfortunately, becoming a demi-god was no easy feat.

Many geniuses before them had stumbled at this very gate and vanished into the dust of history without ever seeing what lay beyond.

Just reaching the peak of rank S was not enough; there was a need to understand the ’Path’ to a certain extent, or the ascension would fail!

It was less a matter of raw power and more a matter of insight, and no amount of effort could replace a true understanding of one’s own way.

Link had even heard Rio say that he had comprehended three different paths to hone his ascension to perfection before attempting the actual ascension!

The thought of it still made Link shake his head in disbelief, for most people would have been content to comprehend even a single path.

So the group was in no rush, and in the absence of external threats, they were taking their time to lay a solid foundation!

After all, a sturdy foundation was something that could never be rebuilt once it had cracked.

Just as the group were chatting among themselves, a teleportation portal opened nearby, and both Rio and Lia walked out, holding hands with each other as if showing off their relationship to the world proudly!

Their sudden appearance caused the surrounding air to flutter gently, and every head in the group turned towards them at once.

"Yo! It’s been a while, everyone! What brings you all here? If you guys are here to ask me for a piece of land in my continent, then I ask you all to piss off nicely in advance~."

His cheerful tone echoed across the green fields, and it was clear that he was in a good mood.

Rio’s cheekly smile was unfamiliar to Selain, and she almost thought she had mistaken him for someone else.

Compared to the cold and distant Rio she remembered, this version of him seemed so relaxed and lively that it felt like meeting a completely different person.

Link and the others who had already found out that Rio had regained his emotions were not fazed much, but they shuddered at the thought of Rio doing something mischievous.

Link and Liam even subconsciously took a step back, as if the memory itself was enough to make their stomachs ache.

The aggressive diarhea incident was still alive in their minds and was a great source of PTSD.

Nobody dared to speak about it out loud, yet the fear was clearly written across their faces.

Ever since Rio regained his emotions, he had become more active and a complete rascal that caused massive troubles for Link and Liam everywhere!

At one time he literally stole away Link and Liam’s money and payment cards during a cafe meeting between the three, ate a ton, and then dashed away, leaving the two of them staring at each other’s faces like idiots!

What the two of them didn’t know was that Rio was actually always the type to mess around and prank his friends; the only reason he hadn’t done it before was because his emotions and desires were suppressed by his fading emotions and defective heart!

Now though, he was walking quite fast on the path of being a funny talkative friend who liked to mess around on normal times but was reliable in emergencies!
