Reborn as an Extra Chapter 902: Invitation From The Land of Fairies. Part-2.
Previously on Reborn as an Extra...
Once Rio managed to get inside the domain of the miasmic sea, he would gain permanent access and would be able to come and go as he wished because he would be able to leave his mark on the very existence of the sea itself!
The Sea of Miasma likely knew this too, and that’s why it refused to let Rio get close at any cost!
It was an odd feeling for Rio to be avoided by something so enormous that it could swallow countless worlds without effort.
"Hmm, it looks scary but... why do I feel that it’s shrinking away from here? Isn’t the sea of miasma supposed to be ever expanding and unmoving?"
At Lia’s question, Rio smirked and spoke in a smug voice.
"That’s because it is afraid of your mighty husband! It’s afraid that I will beat the sh*t out of it and destroy it from inside!"
Lia opened her eyes wide and giggled as if amused by Rio’s word, and she didn’t take Rio’s words seriously at all.
She even smacked Rio on the chest lightly, saying,
"Stop joking around... we are talking serious stuff here, idiot!"
Her cheeks puffed out just a little, and the way her eyebrows scrunched together only made her look cuter instead of fiercer.
Only Lia dared to smack and joke around with Rio like that; others who knew that Rio had eradicated an entire race from existence just because he wanted a palace for himself dared not even look Rio in the eyes!
And Rio, for his part, enjoyed it more than he would ever admit, since it reminded him that he was still the same lovely Rio for Lia despite becoming a godly entity.
Rio was literally considered a god walking on earth back in the World Alliance!
Whenever he appeared in a virtual meeting of the alliance recently, people would lower their voices in awe, which Rio found far more embarrassing than flattering.
"Hehe, well, you don’t need to believe me; I will destroy the sea of miasma in the future anyways. You can see it happen yourself at that time~."
He rested his chin lightly on top of her head and gazed at the dark horizon with a playful but unyielding gleam in his eyes.
Rio mentioned the matter casually as if he was talking about destroying a random toy so Lia didn’t take him seriously at all.
Lia only rolled her eyes fondly and shook her head, certain that her husband-to-be was simply boasting again.
What she didn’t know was that Rio was indeed serious and was going to cause massive-scale changes in the entire universe in the future!
Behind his relaxed grin there was a calm and steady determination that did not waver even for a moment.
"Hmm? Someone has entered our home uninvited... this presence, it’s Link and the others... and there’s Selain too?"
Rio still remembered the talented Dragon Princess Selain, who was once clamoring to beat Lia in the race of love and seize him as her lover, and an amused look appeared on his face.
Back then she had been loud, stubborn, and fearless, and the memory of those playful days made him chuckle softly.
"We have been wandering outside for weeks... let’s go back. It seems they have some important business for us..."
Lia nodded her head and didn’t care about Selain at all.
She simply tightened her grip on his hand and smiled, her mind already drifting to the wedding preparations waiting for them back home.
She was not worried about her causing trouble in the slightest anymore, as Rio and Lia were both about to get married soon!
After that, no matter what Selain said, it would be pointless.
She also had some confidence that nothing in this world could ever pull Rio away from her side.
"Whoa... this place really has changed a lot... I once visited the demon continent with Father briefly when he came to talk about the demons invading the Dragon Valley..."
"The difference from back then and now is like heaven and earth! Rio really went ahead and created an entire new continent for Lia... sigh, this love, it’s really enviable..."
Selain shook her head in helplessness as she looked at the lush forests brimming with life from above.
Far below, rivers sparkled like silver ribbons beneath the sunlight and countless birds circled above the treetops as though they owned the sky.
Unlike back then, she was already an S ranker, and even the aura of majesty and royalty around her had improved tremendously.
Her posture was straight and graceful, and every movement carried a quiet elegance that had been polished by years of strict royal training.
She was now wearing a royal dress and looked more princess-like than ever before.
The fabric shimmered faintly in the light, yet she still looked slightly uncomfortable, as if she had not yet fully forgiven the dress for being so heavy.
"I heard their wedding ceremony is just one month away. I must attend it too or it will be too rude."
Link just shrugged his shoulders at those words.
"Well, it’s up to you. I don’t think Rio will ever be swayed, though. He only has eyes for Lia, just like I only like Riya..."
He said it so naturally and honestly that it was impossible to doubt even a single word of it.
Riya, who was standing right beside him, smiled sweetly at those words and pecked on his cheek lightly like a cute mischievous cat.
Link was taken aback for a second, but he did not push her away, and instead his smile grew even wider than before.
Seeing them being so lovey-dovey right in front of her, Selain felt sour all over her heart and coughed to cause an interruption.
The sweet atmosphere between the two was so thick that Selain felt as though she was third-wheeling during their date.
"Ahem, I didn’t come here to talk about love and all today anyways, so can you please stop rubbing salt on the wound already and stop showing off!?"
Her ears had turned slightly red, and she hurriedly looked away, pretending that the scenery was suddenly very interesting.
