Rio and Lia shared a tender moment, interrupted by Lia's father, James. After lighthearted banter about grandchildren, Rio announced his intention to travel to the Demon Continent. Lia was worried, but understood his need for growth. James, recalling his own travels there, felt Rio was capable. Rio revealed he needed to speak with the Demon King before his ascension and promised Lia a swift return and a date to outer space, though his true intentions were far more dangerous.

Rio had learned from Kevin’s failed love story and knew that communication was key to a successful relationship.

If Rio wanted to, he could have just sneaked away and left for the Demon Continent without telling anyone, but that would not only upset everyone but hurt Lia the most.

To Rio, going to the Demon Continent for the ascension was just a small matter; settling down and living a peaceful life with Lia was his biggest goal right now.

So, for the sake of a small issue, Rio did not want to disturb his peaceful future.

Moreover, Lia was a smart and understanding person; it was better to just talk things out with her instead of hiding it all.

And just like Rio had expected, Lia agreed to wait for his successful return.

After the talking session at breakfast, Rio spent the rest of the day wandering around in the vast garden of the Silver Mansion with Lia.

In the morning, the two of them strolled around the garden and planted several flowers in the garden together.

Then, at noon, they sat under a gazebo in the garden, had a small tea party, and watched random movies together.

By evening, the two felt hungry and decided to take the car and go hunting for street food!

...

"Kehehe, those glasses look so funny on you, pfffttt~~"

Looking at the pink magical girl style glasses that Rio was wearing, Lia couldn’t help but burst out laughing.

Seeing that, Rio pretended to pout and started imitating Lia’s usual tsundere tone,

"Hmph, it was you who bought them. And now you are laughing... I am not talking to you anymore~"

Hearing those words, Lia barely controlled her laughing, wiped her teary eyes, and grabbed dorky-looking big glasses for herself.

"Fine, look, I will wear funny-looking glasses to match with you!"

"By the way, it seems they are hosting a street piano show over there; let’s go and watch!"

Rio was then immediately dragged away by Lia towards the piano and could only use telekinesis to hand the money to the shopkeeper for the two glasses.

"They are having a piano competition, but to be honest, I don’t know sh*t about music."

Looking at the piano, Rio couldn’t help remember the time when he had sneaked into the dwarf kingdom pretending to be a wandering bard!

At that time, Rio actually used ’Sword Intent’ to play a flute!

’If I use sword intent and treat the piano like a weapon... I can perhaps play it to a passable level, I think...’

Thinking so in his mind, Rio asked the host of the competition if he could play a piece, and the other party agreed readily, saying that it was an open competition and anyone from the audience could play the piano.

"You know how to play the piano?"

Lia’s eyes were shining with shock as she watched Rio take the seat and place his hands on the big piano.

"Hmm, I don’t really know but... With ’Sword Intent’ I am pretty much capable of playing any instrument in the world... hehe, let me show it you."

Wind and the air were the main travel mediums for sound, so manipulating that element while using ’sword intent’ at the same time, Rio could easily produce a melody even if he had never heard one!

But of course, Rio had done his homework beforehand.

Ever since he got back from the dwarf kingdom, he had listened to a few melodies in his free time just in case he needed to play the role of a wandering bard once again in the future.

That training came in handy at the moment when he played a simple love melody for Lia.

By the time Rio was finished, the entire audience was mesmerized and clapped for him.

The host of the competition directly gave the grand prize, which was a magical flower-shaped pendant.

Without hesitation, Rio gifted the pendant to Lia,

"Although I won it technically by cheating me through to the top using the skills of an awakener... I hope you will like it..."

Lia happily accepted the gift and wore the pendant without hesitation!

She even took several selfies to show off to Mel later.

"Let’s go! Buy some pizza and go to some place high!"

After messing around for several hours in the street market, the two of them took the car and arrived at a nearby hilltop, which was a famous tourist spot.

Sitting on the bumper of the car, the two of them enjoyed the pizza and chugged soft drinks like spoiled brats who were addicted to fast food.

"I am quite surprised by your efficiency... you already have a driving license, and I haven’t even learned how to drive cars yet!"

Hearing Lia’s complaints, Rio leaned against the front glass of the car and straightened his legs on the car’s bumper before saying,

"Well, the driving test was pretty easy, and it only took a few hours, so I thought it would be good to get it done as fast as possible..."

"Moreover, I always felt it was inconvenient to take your family driver around whenever we went on dates, so I had to get this matter done sooner or later..."

"Now I can drive the car and take you to go on dates myself... it kind of gives a strange sense of freedom. You get what I am saying? It’s like being free... kinda hard to explain..."

Lia smiled at Rio’s words, lay down on the glass window beside Rio, and looked at the stars shining in the night sky with a happy look on her face.

"Sometimes... I wonder how our life would have been if we were both just ordinary people..."

"We would have no worries about dungeons and stuff... we wouldn’t care about the constant need to keep getting stronger, and we would just mess around every day like a normal ordinary couple..."

"It would have been such a nice ordinary life..."

Unfortunately, both of them were powerful awakeners and had a lot of responsibilities on their shoulders.

They couldn’t be an ordinary young couple like others.

"Haha, if we can’t be an ordinary couple, we can always be an extraordinary couple!"

"I told you, once I reach rank SS, I will take you on a date in outer space! We will go see the various wonders of the universe together and enjoy the sights of the world!"

"We can go and have a tornado-making contest on the bare sands of Mars, or we can go and have a glacier-throwing tournament on the freezing fields of Pluto!"

Hearing Rio’s words, the smile on Lia’s face widened as she leaned her head on Rio’s arm.

"Good, as long as you are with me... I can even go to hell and still be happy about it."

Rio kissed Lia on the forehead and replied in his usual calm voice,

"Same to you, hehe~"

As the two of them clung to each other and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the night sky, the final day before Rio’s departure slowly came to an end.

Rio spent the entire day with Lia to make up for the time he was away from her and recharged his ’Lipium’ meters to the fullest before deciding to head towards a new journey.
