Rebirth of a Village Girl Chapter 1404 - 358: Zhao Xiaoyu with 3 younger brothers

Previously on Rebirth of a Village Girl...
Ni Yang and her family grappled with the emotional fallout of a long-buried secret, finally confirming that Ni Qingzhu is indeed Ni Yang's long-lost fourth sister. The revelation brought joy and tears for the family, with Ni Cuihua expressing deep regret for not recognizing her daughter sooner. Meanwhile, as the family rushed to welcome Ni Qingzhu, they celebrated their newfound connection with generous gifts and heartfelt embraces. Amidst these heartfelt moments, Mo Qishen struggled with the dynamics of family bonds, particularly in his playful yet awkward interactions with Ni Yang, who remained focused on their growing family.

Ni Yang couldn't help but chuckle; the bluntness of Mr. Mo, a man typically characterized by his extreme restraint and composure, was quite unexpected.

Following the ten-month term of her pregnancy and with the infants now past three months old, more than a year had passed. It was finally time for her to belong to him once again.

The moment dinner concluded, Mo Qishen was in a rush to relocate the three children to the adjacent nursery, leaving them under the nanny’s supervision for the night.

He gave strict orders to the nanny: under no circumstances were they to be interrupted unless a true emergency arose.

Ni Yang remained in bed until well past noon the following day.

Strangely enough, the second and third children—usually the household's little troublemakers—remained perfectly quiet throughout the morning.

Their good behavior even earned them a rare, softened gaze of approval from their father, Mo Qishen.

Once Adelle and Shangguan Xu officially confirmed their commitment, Adelle’s grandparents traveled from overseas. Both families reached an agreement to hold the wedding ceremony on June 8th of the coming year.

Since the couple intended to move into their own place after the nuptials, Adelle threw herself into the task of house hunting as soon as the date was finalized.

She believed that true domestic bliss and a sense of pride could only come from furnishing a new home entirely by one's own hand.

“Big Sis, Fourth Sister, what kind of decor do you think would suit the new house?” Adelle asked, bringing her design blueprints over to consult with Ni Yang and Ni Qingzhu.

Ni Yang offered her thoughts, “I’m a fan of minimalism myself, perhaps a rustic country aesthetic? I’ve actually been contemplating tearing down our current place to start a full remodel.”

With the combined help of Ni Cuihua, Grandpa Zheng, Grandma Zheng, and Mo Qishen all looking after the three infants, Ni Yang hardly had to lift a finger regarding childcare.

Ni Qingzhu chimed in, “I’m all about opulence. To be honest, I adore anything golden; the more lavish the better.”

After sharing her preference, Ni Qingzhu questioned, “Third Sister, why bother asking Big Sis and me? Don't you already have a style in mind?”

Adelle shook her head in response. “Not really.”

Smiling, Ni Yang suggested, “In that case, why not merge my taste with Third Sister’s? You could go for a simplified European style.”

“That sounds perfect,” Adelle agreed, then added, “Sis, would you be willing to handle the design for us?”

“You have that much confidence in me?” Ni Yang asked, one eyebrow arched.

Adelle nodded her head vigorously. “Of course! Anything you create is bound to be magnificent! Just look at the incredible job you did with our own home!”

Adelle was truly enamored with the house’s style, particularly that stunning rose wall in the back garden!

It was breathtaking.

“Very well then.”

Without hesitation, Adelle passed the blueprints over to Ni Yang.

Before long, the annual Spring Festival had arrived once more.

The Spring Festival is a time for family reunions.

Due to the leap month this year, the triplets had reached eleven months of age.

The second child, Mo Zi’an, was an early bloomer who had already mastered walking. Though his steps were still a bit shaky, he insisted on moving independently and refused any help from others.

The eldest and the third child, however, still required an adult's hand to steady them as they couldn't walk on their own yet.

Returning home for the school holidays, Zhao Yu looked at the three precious little ones and found herself torn over which one to embrace first.

Zhao Yu stayed incredibly busy most of the time, balancing her academic studies with the management of the Milk Tea Shop and the Noodle Restaurant. It had been four long months since her last visit.

Yet, the triplets hadn't forgotten her at all; they let out excited shouts the moment they saw her.

One had to realize that these three were usually quite picky and wouldn't let just any stranger touch them.

“Dabao, Erbao, Xiaobao, do you like your big sister?”

The three infants, who were just beginning to find their voices, stared at Zhao Yu with wide, round eyes and nodded, “Yes! Yes! Sister!”

Their vocabulary was still limited to ‘Dad,’ ‘Mom,’ ‘Sister,’ and a few other basic terms.

Delighted, Zhao Yu planted a kiss on each of their cheeks before asking, “Is your sister beautiful?”

This time, the three little ones were stumped for an answer.

Zhao Yu pressed on, “Beautiful! Obviously, your big sister is a beauty! Our mother is a stunner, and I am the big beauty! Understand? Hurry up and say sister is beautiful!”

The triplets exchanged glances but remained silent.

As if performing a magic trick, Zhao Yu produced three pieces of candy from her pocket. “Come on, say sister is beautiful and these treats are yours.”

“Beautiful! Beautiful!” The eldest, Mo Ziyao, was the first to chime in.

“Well done, Dabao!” Zhao Yu beamed as she peeled the candy. “This is your reward from your sister! Isn't your sister the best? Isn't she the most gorgeous big beauty in the whole wide world?”

Mo Dabao: “...”

He found that telling such a blatant lie just for a piece of candy was a heavy burden to bear!

Seeing their brother receive a treat, Mo Erbao and Mo Xiaobao scrambled to shout “Beautiful!” as well.

Zhao Yu continued her interrogation, “Dabao, Erbao, Xiaobao, how old is your sister this year?”

The three little ones stared at her, looking completely lost.

This question was clearly beyond their comprehension!

Zhao Yu told them, “I am sixteen this year, seventeen next year, and I’ll be eighteen the year after that. Got it?”

Ni Qingzhu, who had arrived to drop off New Year gifts for Ni Yang, happened to overhear this. She joked with a grin, “Zhao Xiaoyu, you’re corrupting the minds of minors! You’re already in your twenties, yet you have the nerve to claim you’re sixteen!”

Having spent so much time together, Ni Qingzhu viewed Zhao Yu as a precious gem.

Whoever ended up marrying Zhao Yu would surely lead a life filled with laughter.

Zhao Yu stood her ground and insisted, “I am sixteen!”

Ni Qingzhu burst out laughing. “You aren't sixteen; you’re six. You’re barely five years and a month older than Dabao, Erbao, and Xiaobao in maturity!”
