Amelia reveals that her father, the Grand Duke, has traveled beyond the Endless Mountain Range to the Northern Wild Lands, a dangerous and mysterious region. This journey is apparently to establish diplomatic ties, but Amelia fears his absence will be exploited by enemies. Izroth receives a system alert related to Amelia.

"Then, Amelia, I wish you a speedy recovery. Don’t take too long and focus on recovering properly. Otherwise, I’ll already have everything cleaned up by the time you’re on your feet again." Izroth said as he opened the room door.

"Stay safe, Sir Izroth. And, good luck." Amelia said as Izroth departed from the room.

...

As Izroth stepped outside the room, he was greeted by Mithron, Old Shan and the two guards on duty.

Additionally, a shadow rushed toward Izroth and merged into his shadow the moment the room door opened.

Mithron cleared his throat and asked, "Did your conversation go well?"

"It was productive in more ways than one. That aside, the matters we discussed earlier, I think it’s best that we keep it under wraps for now. I would like you to send someone trustworthy to get in contact with the War Brigade 2nd Unit Commander of the 1st Legion, Aurie and inform her of our situation." Izroth stated calmly.

"I will have Quicksil inform the Commander." Mithron said with a nod.

If it became known that a rift linked to the Shadahi Realm was opening somewhere in Danaharpe City, there would be city-wide panic and disorder. Therefore, Izroth believed it was best to keep things under wraps and only spread the information to a select few individuals.

As for why Izroth chose Aurie to contact, it was due to the simple fact that he trusted her, as well as her judgment.

S-ranked quests were full of unexpected surprises. And, since he was dealing with the likes of the League of the Eidolon and the shadahi, Izroth knew that he could not afford to underestimate them.

"I also made arrangements to have my family guards stationed on all trade routes leading in and out of Danaharpe City. They will move in secret so as to not give away our intentions before the proper moment to strike arrives. I don’t plan on letting a single one of those rats escape." Mithron said with a cold gaze.

"This old man will keep an eye on things from the side and make my move when the time is right. There are too many easily startled rascals that may misunderstand my intentions." Old Shan spoke unhurriedly.

Izroth removed the red box he received earlier from Yi Ying from his inventory and held it out toward Mithron, who accepted it.

"This is the evidence my subordinate collected. I am sure you will find a way to put it to good use when the time comes." Izroth said in a meaningful tone.

"Rest assured, all of those involved will be held fully responsible to the highest degree." Mithron said confidently.

Suddenly, a voice sounded from down the hall, "My lord, forgive the intrusion! I have an urgent report!"

The voice belonged to one of the Kroma family guards. He walked with hastened steps before stopping a few steps away and placing his hand over his chest to salute.

"Already? That’s sooner than I expected. Don’t tell me you all got caught right away?" Mithron said sternly.

"No, my lord. Rather, we caught a suspicious individual trying to sneak into the Kroma family estate." The guard replied.

"Oh? There are still those bold enough to attempt to sneak into my Kroma family estate?" Mithron said with a sharp gaze.

The guard glanced over at Izroth before he returned his gaze toward Mithron and stated, "Well... They claimed that they are looking for Supreme Elder Izroth. Since their identity is unverified, we escorted them to a guest room within the secondary building and stationed two guards close by."

The only person who knew that he headed to the Kroma family estate was Vexpela. However, if it was someone sent by Vexpela, it did not make any sense for them to try to sneak into the Kroma family estate. Vexpela was not foolish enough to risk offending the Kroma family just to get into contact with him in such a reckless manner. Without a doubt, she would have definitely used a more formal approach.

"Were you expecting someone?" Mithron asked curiously as he looked over at Izroth.

"No, but I’m curious to see who is looking for me." Izroth answered.

Mithron nodded, turned back toward the guard and said, "Escort Supreme Elder Izroth to meet this guest. If it turns out that they came to my Kroma family with bad intentions or give Supreme Elder Izroth a hard time, make sure you deal with them thoroughly. However, if they truly are a guest of Supreme Elder Izroth, you are to treat them as a guest of the Kroma family."

"Understood, my lord." The guard said as he gave another salute.

He then faced Izroth and continued, "Supreme Elder Izroth, we shall depart at your discretion."

"I will head out immediately after confirming the identity of our surprise visitor." Izroth said to Mithron.

Afterward, he shifted his focus to the guard, "I’ve finished what I needed to do here. Lead the way."

After Izroth spoke, the guard gave one last respectful salute to Mithron before he departed along with Izroth.

...

A few moments later...

Izroth arrived in front of a room that had two guards next to the entrance, one positioned on each side.

"This is one of the Kroma family’s special guest rooms. For security purposes, there is only one way in and one way out. If you need anything, just say the word. We will be right outside the door." The guard who escorted Izroth explained as he opened the door.

"That won’t be necessary. This person is one of my people." Izroth said as he inwardly shook his head and walked into the room as the doors closed behind him.

"Ah, Palace Master! I knew it, you really were here!" A familiar voice sounded from the room as hurried footsteps echoed.

The person who greeted Izroth at the room’s entrance and the voice’s owner was none other than the Young Sword of the Order of a Thousand Blossoms, Celia.

Not long after the grade five Apothecary promotion test ended, Celia disappeared without informing him or Worldly Skies. And, even after they sent her messages, she replied in a vague or evasive manner.

Izroth had no idea what she had been up to this entire time.

"You left without warning back then, yet you’ve come to find me on your own now. Speaking of which, how did you know I’d be here?" Izroth inquired.

"I just followed the from the Twin Blossom Crest in your possession since it contains a fragment of the Holy Maiden’s blossom. No, more importantly—there’s something I need to show you. It’s the reason why I was in such a rush back then and left so abruptly." Celia said with a look of triumph on her face.
