Yi Ying revealed a rift to the Shadahi Realm in Danaharpe, alarming Izroth. He deduced the Duvelle family's involvement and the potential for a dangerous, large-scale rift. Izroth reassured Mithron and Amelia that he had closed a similar, unstable rift in the Night Lord’s Crypt and planned to prevent any crossing from the new one. He then requested a private conversation with Amelia.

Of course, it was not uncommon for history to be written by the victors. However, based on his personal experience and insights, Izroth did not believe the recorded information was embellished.

"Now that sounds more like my father." Amelia said as she covered her mouth and let out a light giggle.

She then mentioned, "I suppose the question remains. Why are the shadahi and the League of the Eidolon going through so much effort to lure my father to Danaharpe City? If it were anyone else I would say the purpose must be assassination. But, due to a few circumstances I am unable to disclose, even if several powerhouse at the peak of the legendary realm worked together to ambush my father, they would not be able to claim his life. I am not simply saying this as his daughter, but from an objective standpoint."

"If their purpose is not to ambush or control the Grand Duke, then perhaps it is to draw him away from something they place a great deal of importance on. Tell me, where is the Grand Duke currently?" Izroth asked calmly.

"That’s..." Amelia seemed to have come to a realization when Izroth spoke; however, it was clear that she was hesitant to answer.

A few seconds later, Amelia released a heavy sigh and said, "Forget it. Since you are my benefactor, I owe you my life. I am sure my father would understand. But, before that, the individual in your shadow..."

Izroth understood Amelia’s intentions as he gave a small nod. Right as he did so, a shadow split apart from his own and sped toward the room’s exit.

"Grandpa Shan, Uncle Mithron, I need complete privacy. Please ensure that nothing can escape this room." Amelia said to seemingly no one.

However, a few seconds after she finished speaking, Izroth sensed a strange shift in the room’s mana. In the blink of an eye, it had become increasingly dense as if several layers of protection had been activated simultaneously.

Although Mithron and Old Shan were outside the room, with their abilities, it was not difficult to listen in on the conversation. The fact that Amelia made such a request meant that she did not want whatever she had to say entering the ears of others—even those she trusted.

"This level of secrecy... Just where did the Grand Duke run off to?" Izroth questioned.

"It is quite amusing how fate works. My father’s location is not completely unrelated to you, Sir Izroth. The Sixth Princess of Tempest, Ranazera—I am sure Sir Izroth remembers her well. After all, you were the one who captured and escorted the Sixth Princess of Tempest from Tempest to Amaharpe." Amelia stated.

"Oh? Is the Grand Duke currently infiltrating Tempest?" Izroth inquired curiously.

Amelia shook her head and said, "No, my father is no longer within the Seven Kingdoms. He has traveled beyond the Endless Mountain Range to the place known as the Northern Wild Lands."

The Endless Mountain Range—it was named as such because it was believed to stretch without an end in sight. However, over two centuries ago, the kingdom of Tempest discovered that this was not the case.

In their greed to expand their power and influence, Tempest sent their first prince, a peak legendary realm powerhouse on the threshold of becoming a Plane Ascender along with 80,000 troops to conquer the Norther Wild Lands. But, their plan not only failed, but the losses they suffered were disastrous.

The first prince perished along with the entire army that accompanied him. That is, all except one person who made it back to report to the Tempest royal family. That person delivered a message that the royal family must not never foot on the Endless Mountain Range before the last of their life faded.

According to Ranazera, this was one of the most carefully guarded secrets of the Tempest Kingdom. As for whether or not the other kingdoms were aware of the existence of the Northern Wild Lands, Izroth did not know for certain. However, the Grand Duke making a trip there personally showed the amount of importance the kingdom of Amaharpe placed on the information given by Ranazera. And, it also revealed that perhaps the existence of the Northern Wild Lands was a secret that belonged solely to Tempest—at least, until now.

"The Northern Wild Lands... If the Grand Duke is making a move, then I assume it has to do with forming an alliance between the Allied Kingdoms and whatever power rules the Northern Wild Lands." Izroth commented.

In the end, if the shadahi managed to succeed, it would no longer be a problem of the Seven Kingdoms. Eventually, they would find their way to the furthest corners of the Mortal Realm no matter how far away they were. Naturally, this also included the Northern Wild Lands.

"You are correct. My father was entrusted with a small delegation in hopes of, at the very least, establishing some sort of diplomatic dialogue with those beyond the Endless Mountain Range. However, it is known that my father has set foot outside of Amaharpe, let alone the Seven Kingdoms, there are forces who won’t hesitate to take advantage of his absence—both externally and internally." Amelia explained.

The moment Amelia finished speaking, Izroth received an alert from the system.

〈System Alert: 1/1 Locate «Amelia Harpe» and acquire the information in their possession.〉

"I understand. Don’t worry, I will keep the Grand Duke’s circumstances to myself. For now, you should continue resting—doctor’s orders." Izroth said as he made his way toward the door.

Amelia released a helpless sigh and replied, "Since it is a request from my benefactor, I shall compromise. At the very least, I will rest until Count Leonaro contacts me with the information I requested. I am sure Sir Izroth will not protest since it is a matter related to the life and death of others."

"You’re good with your words, Lady Harpe. Of course, since it’s a matter of life and death, I will not protest." Izroth replied casually without halting his steps.

"Amelia—you may call me Amelia. It is improper to have the benefactor who saved my life refer to me so formally." Amelia said with a warm smile.
