Nox tearfully professed his love during his wedding to Shelly, crying uncontrollably from joy as they exchanged rings. The officiant pronounced them husband and wife, leading to a passionate kiss initiated by Shelly. Nox delivered an emotional speech vowing to cherish her forever and thanking the guests. Jeanne suddenly felt her stomach churn and hurried to the bathroom, with Edward following closely.

Monica gazed at the couple strolling one behind the other and remarked, “They’re still as loving as ever.”

“Aren’t we the same?” Finn grinned.

Monica nodded. She had never believed true happiness was possible for her before, but now it lay within easy grasp.

Jeanne stepped out of the bathroom, her face drained of color.

Edward, waiting right outside the door, glanced at her and inquired, “Are you unwell?”

Jeanne stayed silent.

“Let’s head to the hospital.”

“I’ve already been,” Jeanne responded.

“What did the doctor tell you?” Edward pressed anxiously.

“The doctor said that I…” Jeanne met Edward’s eyes and announced, “I’m pregnant.”

Edward froze in shock initially, then stammered with thrill after a moment, “You’re pregnant?”

“It’s not your first time as a dad. Do you have to get so worked up?” Jeanne remained composed.

“I do,” Edward affirmed earnestly. “This means our family gets another little one.”

Jeanne felt quite joyful inside too. She had raised George by herself, and Edward had done the same with Paige, so they’d never nurtured a child side by side. Now, like Finn and Monica, they could watch their baby grow together.

“We’re heading home.” Edward gripped Jeanne’s hand firmly.

“The wedding’s only just starting.”

“Your well-being comes first.”

“It’s only pea-sized at the moment.”

“All the more reason for me to safeguard it.”

“Edward…”

“Be good.” Edward abruptly scooped Jeanne up into his arms.

“I can walk myself.”

“I know that.”

“Then why carry me?”

“Because I enjoy it.”

Jeanne had no words.

“Tell me,” Jeanne wrapped her arms around Edward’s neck, “what should we name our baby?”

With George and Paige already, what other name would fit?

After the wedding ceremony, Shelly and Nox went back to Nox’s room at the Winters’ residence. The once black-and-white space had transformed into pure white.

Dressed in matching couple pajamas after shedding their wedding outfits, they perched on the bed’s edge. Though not new to sharing a bed, a sudden shyness gripped them now.

Shelly glanced at Nox, who appeared tense, and questioned, “What’s got you scared?”

“No idea,” Nox admitted frankly.

“Is this our plan for the whole night?”

“You want to go all night?” Nox’s eyes bulged.

Shelly felt puzzled by Nox’s response.

“I got drunk last night, and my thirst kept me awake all night, so I only slept an hour or two. I might lack the energy for all night,” Nox clarified.

It took Shelly ages to catch on, wondering what raced through Nox’s head.

“I meant, are we sitting here all night long?” Shelly said in exasperation.

“Oh.” Nox finally got it. He added hastily, “No, I just wanted to chat with you first.”

“Sure.”

“Shelly, did you marry me of your own free will?”

“Yes.”

“No one pressured you, like my grandfather?”

“No, Grandpa always honors my choices.”

“But you… How did you come around to marrying me?” Nox wondered.

“Because I love you.”

Nox stared in disbelief.

“It’s true,” Shelly continued. “I didn’t want to love you, but… I’ve fallen for you. Looking back, I do blame you a bit for that. Still, instead of dwelling on old grudges, I choose to treasure the present. So, I decided to forgive myself and move on from the past.”

“When exactly did you fall for me?”

“Not sure.”

“You’re certain it’s not just a fleeting feeling?”

“Are you trying to make me say I don’t love you?” Shelly threw up her hands.

“No, no. I just worry you’ll regret it.”

“Whether I regret it is my call.”

“But Shelly—”

“Can you quit overthinking?”

“Alright then, let’s have sex now.”

Nox’s abrupt shift left Shelly speechless.

Yet Shelly bit her lip and replied, “Okay.”

Nox simply gazed at Shelly, leaving her at a loss. Was this the same guy who sobbed through the wedding and now hesitated on their wedding night—the one who once plotted to win her back?

Gritting her teeth, Shelly lunged at Nox, shoving him onto the bed before straddling him.

Nox watched as Shelly declared, “Nox, I’ll prove how badly I wanted to marry you and how deeply… I love you.”

With that, she captured his lips in a fervent kiss, unleashing all her pent-up affection.

Inside the dim room…

“Shelly, I’ll never let you slip away.”

“I won’t leave you ever again either.”

As they lost themselves in passion, fireworks exploded beyond the window—like the night Nox proposed. But this time, no heartache lingered, only pure love!

This marked the beginning of their blissful ever after!
