Shelly tearfully confronted Nox at the airport security checkpoint, begging him not to leave and declaring they should get married. Overcome with emotion, Nox rushed to embrace her tightly amid sobs. She revealed that she had replaced his supposed fiancée, becoming the bride after canceling the engagement, and urged him to return for their wedding.

Shelly offered little explanation. She just said, “Let’s head back now, or we’ll be late.”

“Shelly.”

“Hurry, take Bella from me. We need to run back.”

Shelly then hiked up her dress and dashed off.

Nox stood frozen momentarily, yet he swiftly scooped up Bella, dressed in her own gown, and chased after Shelly. After all, to wed Shelly, he'd go to any lengths.

Once everyone settled in the car, Shelly repeatedly pressed the driver to speed up since time was short. Nox observed her urgency and bit back his words multiple times.

By 11:50 p.m., Shelly, Nox, and Bella reached the wedding site. Shelly drew a deep breath, smoothed her bridal gown, and glanced at Nox. Noticing his disheveled hair and suit, she rose on her toes to fix him. Meanwhile, Nox gazed intently at Shelly.

Once she'd straightened Nox out, Shelly grasped his hand, ready to enter the hall, but Nox yanked her into an embrace. “Shelly.”

“What’s wrong?” Shelly spun around.

Time was running out.

“Should trouble stir inside, stay calm. I’ll take care of it,” Nox assured her gravely.

“A commotion?”

“If that other bride tries to claim me, I’ll sort it out,” Nox vowed to Shelly.

Shelly couldn't suppress a chuckle. Nox actually believed another bride awaited him within.

“Young Master Winter, no need to fret.” Shelly giggled. “It’s only me.”

“What?”

“I’ve dismissed the other one.”

“How did you send her packing?”

“Later. I’ll explain later.” Shelly urged, “We’re pressed for time. Let’s enter.”

Shelly then pulled the still-bewildered Nox inside. Carrying Bella, the trio strolled the lengthy red carpet aisle. Blossoms and sparkling lights enveloped the hall, crafting a dreamlike fairytale realm.

Guests filled seats along both sides of the path. Their entrance drew every eye, as the wedding march swelled in the air.

The scene's familiarity brought tears to Nox's eyes. He'd never dreamed he'd one day process down the aisle beside Shelly. Glancing her way, he caught her beaming smile. Perhaps the glow played tricks, yet Shelly appeared not just stunning, but truly joyful.

This sparked his thought, ‘Will Shelly find happiness in marrying me?’

Still, Nox shelved the doubt. Hand in hand with Shelly, they reached the aisle's end, where a staffer whisked Bella away. Shelly had prepped her daughter, so Bella departed without fuss.

Alone now, the officiant eyed them with a grin. “At last, our bride and groom arrive. Give them a round of cheers!”

Thunderous applause and shouts filled the venue.

“Friends, family, and dear ones, welcome. Today we witness Nox Winter and Shelly Carter unite. We're here to back their loving pledge and revel in their choice to share forever!”

The officiant's declaration brought fresh redness to Nox's eyes.

“Ms. Shelly, do you take Mr. Nox as your lawful husband, to cherish in plenty and want, health and illness, wealth and woe, from now until parting by death?”

Shelly faced Nox, his eyes reddened since the airport.

She beamed. “I do.”

Tears welled in Nox's gaze as he beheld Shelly.

“Mr. Nox, do you accept Ms. Shelly as your lawful wife, to hold through good times and bad, riches or poverty, sickness…”

Nox stared at the officiant ahead, lips parting yet silent for ages.

“Mr. Nox?” The officiant prompted once more.

Nox nodded firmly, tears shining, and declared, “I do.”
