Lu Ze finds himself transmigrated 2,000 years into a futuristic era where humanity engages in interstellar conflicts and prioritizes martial arts training. After adjusting to his new identity in a safe, civilized world, he suddenly awakens in a mysterious, sprawling wilderness instead of his own bed. Forced to confront his unfamiliar surroundings, he soon encounters a monstrously large rabbit that calls his survival instincts into question.

Lu Ze gazed at the gargantuan white rabbit grazing peacefully. He had already begun contemplating the best way to cook it. Should it be steamed or roasted?

After deliberating, he opted for roasting. However, he soon realized he lacked both seasonings and the means to spark a fire. Everywhere he looked, he saw nothing but endless grasslands. Even if he intended to use wood, he would first need to find some.

At that moment, the massive rabbit seemed to detect something. Its long ears snapped upright in high alert as it scanned its surroundings.

Its eyes were a deep blood-red, and despite the vigilance, it continued to chew rhythmically.

Both man and beast locked gazes for a long moment. It felt as though they recognized a shared trait in each other: they were both gluttons for fine food. Yet, Lu Ze sensed the rabbit’s appetite was strictly for the grass, not for him.

However, when the creature’s adorable mouth parted to reveal rows of glistening, razor-sharp teeth, Lu Ze realized he was mistaken.

It certainly was no ordinary rabbit!

The creature looked so cute, so why were its teeth so lethal?

Sensing the malevolent intent radiating from the white rabbit, Lu Ze instinctively stepped back.

He hailed from a peaceful Earth. Despite his love for food, he had never even slaughtered a chicken. Facing the ferocious Qi emanating from the giant white rabbit, he felt a wave of uncertainty.

Recalling the memories of the body's previous owner, Lu Ze knew his martial arts potential was merely average. His foundational fist skills, movement techniques, and swordsmanship were strictly mediocre, and he lacked any true combat experience.

Clenching his fists, Lu Ze glared at the rabbit with grim determination. 'If you face a tiger, you cannot show fear. Even if you hold no chance, you must stare it down to die with dignity.'

Lu Ze had never seen a tiger, but this giant rabbit was roughly the size of a standard Earth wolf... That surely counted as a fierce beast, right?

The two stood locked in a standoff. While the rabbit’s Qi was savage, it was cautious and refrained from attacking immediately. Meanwhile, sweat beaded on Lu Ze’s forehead. He mentally cycled through his basic movement techniques, realizing that running away might be the smartest path.

The psychological pressure from the rabbit's crimson eyes was suffocating. More sweat dripped down Lu Ze’s face; his throat felt parched, forcing him to swallow hard.

Suddenly, the massive rabbit pushed off the ground with its powerful legs, producing a muffled thump. Grass and dirt sprayed into the air as the beast transformed into a blur of white, surging toward Lu Ze.

The distance between them vanished in mere seconds. The rabbit leapt, its formerly soft paws now resembling lethal scythes that glinted with a razor-sharp edge as it slashed toward Lu Ze’s chest.

Gritting his teeth, Lu Ze pushed through the overwhelming force of the beast's attack. Instinctively, he stomped his right foot, twisted his waist, and lunged to the side.

Screech!

A faint tearing sound accompanied the blades, which sliced through his clothing like parchment, leaving a shallow gash across his chest. Crimson blood began to seep from the wound.

Without giving him a chance to catch his breath, the giant rabbit landed, spun around, and launched itself for a second strike.

“Damn it!”

Pain and humiliation surged through him, sharpening his resolve. How could he be bullied by a rabbit?!

It was just a oversized pest with sharp teeth and claws!

There was only one option left: Counter-attack!

The previous owner of this body may not have been a genius, but he had at least trained in martial arts.

Martial cultivation was divided into nine phases of body refinement. One had to consume the flesh of fierce beasts and harness Qi to temper the energy throughout the whole body—the skin, tendons, marrow, internal organs, and the 12 core meridians along with the Ren and Du channels. This was the only way to build the Foundation Establishment required for future spirit cultivation.

Although not a prodigy, Lu Ze was above average. His family had always kept him supplied with beast meat, granting him the strength of a level four martial artist. At this stage, he had already begun the process of refining his bones.

While he had been flustered by the initial charge, a calm mind might allow him to overcome the beast and enjoy a meal.

As the giant rabbit charged again, Lu Ze’s demeanor shifted. His eyes turned ice-cold as he sidestepped with precise footwork, evading the swipe.

This time, however, he timed his move perfectly. As he dodged, he twisted his waist and unleashed a punch aimed at the rabbit’s flank.

Thud!

The beast was sent sprawling five meters away.

Lu Ze sneered, “Hmph, a rabbit is still a rabbit. No matter how big you grow, you’re still weak... Wait, what?!”

He barely finished his sentence before his eyes widened in disbelief. The rabbit had already flipped back to its feet and was charging again.

He hadn't held back on that punch. It should have been enough to shatter stone. Was this creature made of iron?!

Watching the beast charge repeatedly, Lu Ze’s expression hardened. If one punch wasn't enough, he would land ten, a hundred, a thousand... Today, he would crush this rabbit’s head!

With a roar, Lu Ze launched himself forward.

The two tangled in a chaotic flurry. One punch, one claw. It was like a desperate brawl between two novices. After over a hundred exchanges, Lu Ze landed a heavy blow square on the rabbit’s skull. A sickening sound followed, and the rabbit collapsed, its brain pulped, finally lifeless.

Lu Ze emerged victorious. Though he bore several wounds and had lost some blood, he had survived the encounter.

He leaned forward, hands on his knees, gasping for air. Looking at the carcass, he marveled at the sheer defensive strength of the creature; it had taken over a hundred strikes to finish it off.

Just then, the rabbit’s body disintegrated into dust, leaving behind two glowing red orbs about the size of cherries. They emitted a soft light, stark against the gray ashes.

Blinking in surprise, Lu Ze examined them. Did killing monsters here actually yield loot?

He reached out and picked up the orbs. They felt weightless yet radiated a gentle, warm energy into his palm.
